This was easily one of the most exceptional hotels I have stayed in. From check in to check out I found myself feeling right at home. The staff was so incredibly kind, attentive and engaging. The rooms are beautifully curated amd are comfortable and clean. We met the darling resident cat who is a friendly little panther and enjoyed some wonderful conversation with staff during our stay! The building itself has such an interesting history, and the Rookery has done an exquisite job at telling the story of the building and its long passed inhabitants of all walks of life. The way they have dedicated such clear effort and energy to not only preserving but sharing the history of the building is admireable! I will absolutely be staying here again when I find myself back in London. I have only every enjoyed staying on one other hotel as much as I have enjoyed staying here. It is one of the few places that feels worth the price to stay!

Stayed here and loved it. It’s quaint. Staff so helpful and friendly and the room was exquisite. It’s quirky so don’t expect something like a chain hotel. Expect to be transported back to the late 17th century and drink it in. The bed was sooooo comfortable too. 5 stars.
The Rookery - what an oasis in the middle of London. Absolutely stunning hotel filled with gorgeous antiques yet with all the comforts and more. And the staff - each and everyone made us feel welcome and went out of their way for us. An incredible attention to detail. The location is perfect - near Farringdon station is a plus. Yet the area is on a quiet street. And make sure to enjoy tea on the terrace! Highly recommend!
Such a cute little hotel - I stayed here recently while at an event. Staff were incredible, my room was opulent and gorgeous, bath was superb, really great location. Have booked to come back when I'm next in town
A hotel with a charming historical atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay overall, although there are a few areas that could be improved. The interior is beautiful, full of character, and clearly well maintained. It was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The bathroom and bathtub are stylish, and the staff are polite, welcoming, and very helpful. I also appreciated the complimentary apples at reception. It's a small gesture, but it adds a nice touch. The hotel has a couple of honesty minibars where you simply write down what you've taken, which creates a cozy, home-like feeling. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day. There are, however, some drawbacks. Since the hotel is located in an old building, some of the original features are less practical, especially in the bathroom. The sink taps are positioned so close to the basin that it's difficult to wash your hands properly. The shower doesn't provide a consistent stream because water leaks from several points, and adjusting the temperature is tricky. The toilet flush is also quite weak, and you have to wait around five minutes for the cistern to refill before it can be used again. For a four-star hotel, I expected these facilities to function more smoothly. The sound insulation could also be better. You can hear noise from the bars across the street (not excessively loud, but noticeable). Early in the morning, when public transport starts running, slight vibrations can be felt. We could also hear staff announcing breakfast deliveries to other rooms. None of these issues were severe, but I'm sensitive to noise, so they did affect my sleep. The location is convenient, with a metro station nearby and an easy connection to Gatwick Airport. It's also well situated between the historic tourist areas and the more modern parts of London. However, there isn't much to do in the immediate neighborhood, so I would recommend using the metro to explore the city.
