Amazing one night stay with friends for wife’s birthday. Had dinner at 22 Bishopsgate so was very convenient for that. Lovely rooms, loved the big mirror, shower was nice, air-con worked a treat, all good. Decent roof top bar with good views and nibbles. Only small gripe was we were told last orders on roof bar was 11:30 but when we arrived back at 11 it was shut.. had drinks in lobby instead which was fine. Decent breakie (although the tea was weak) but not include in £250 room rate.. boo. Will definitely stay again!

3.5/5 - Fantastic brand, location, interior design and staff. Flexi-time check in is a fantastic feature too. But our Shoebox room still didn't feel fully worth the price (£144 for a Friday night in June with an ex-staff discount code). I actually think the name doesn't do the room justice. It is actually designed well to allow a lot of features into a small space, with enough room to manouver around—despite us having two large suitcases. But there was only one set of towels on our bed when we arrived, and I'm sure I entered 2 adults on the booking. Having to request another set shouldn't have been necessary. But the biggest letdown was the shower—It didn't have a door and the bathroom flooded every time we used it. There was only one drainage hole directly below. The water would always escape around the cubicle, surrounding the toilet and sit there, without draining backwards. This design choice was baffling to me, and it didn't leave the bathroom in a pleasant condition for the next user. I know it's a quality brand in London, but the price didn't feel fully justified, although we had a positive stay in every other respect.
Rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but we made it work by simply pushing the chairs to the side. The food here is absolutely phenomenal! The heavenly Cacio e Pepe stuffed pasta at IL Bambino Club was the best pasta I’ve had in London. The tiramisu martini is a must-try—you’ll thank me later. There’s also a rooftop bar and restaurant. Pedro waited on me, and he is an absolute sweetheart. We shared stories, laughed, and instantly connected. I loved his energy and personality, and I’m sure you will too. That man deserves a raise and all the finer things life has to offer. The location is great as well—about a 6-minute walk from Old Street Station and a 13-minute walk from Moorgate Station, making it easy to get around London.
I've had a mixed experience. I'm a disloyalty member and have a coffee with the hotel at least once a week to set up my day when I work at my company's London office. I've referred countless clients to stay at the hotel over the years, and I've always wanted to stay over myself out of curiosity. I booked my first two-days as a treat for my wife's birthday and we stayed this weekend. What I loved: - Staff generally warm, welcoming and attentive. - Room was very clean, whole hotel is. Nice bathroom. - Location, breakfast, the coffee, you feel like you're welcome and staying somewhere special. Areas that were disappointing: - I was Whatsapped by the hotel's marketing automation to see if I was interested in a room upgrade. I said yes please, tell me what's available, only to then be told, no upgrades were available. This was embarrassing as I told my wife I was going to treat us to a room upgrade when the upsell first came in... - I was also told there would be some 'treats' in our room 'ready for our arrival' to welcome us as first-time guests and also apologise about the false hope of a room upgrade option. The treats weren't there when we checked in (7pm), so again I was embarrassed when my wife asked me about 'the treats'. When we came back to our room at midnight (after I chased for the promised welcome gift), there was a packet of crisps and two cans of soda. Not exactly a treat as we don't drink soda, so this was very underwhelming. - Breakfast on the Saturday morning, ordering was fine, the location was amazing - but once we'd been served our breakfast, nobody ever came back to ask us how our food was or take a second coffee order (which we wanted). In the end, we ran out of time and I had to walk around to find someone to say we were leaving, and to ask to put the food bill on our room. Again not ideal, breakfast service was quiet, but we just felt abandoned. Unsure if i'll come back for an overnight stay, or recommend this to clients, it didn't really meet my expectations for the cost. My wife commented afterwards after checkout "Yeah it was nice, but maybe let's try somewhere else next time we come and stay in London, the rooms are a bit small".
I recently stayed at The Hoxton Shoreditch during my first days in London, and I would like to thank the wonderful staff who made me feel so welcome. After a long trip, I arrived feeling a bit nervous and out of my comfort zone. The Hoxton has a vibrant, youthful atmosphere, However, from the moment I arrived, Angelica, Morgan, Rianna, and Sophie at the front desk were absolutely outstanding. They were always kind, attentive, and genuinely interested in helping. Whether I had a question, needed assistance, or made a request, they responded immediately and with a smile. Their warmth and professionalism made a real difference to my stay and helped me feel comfortable and at home in a new city. The hotel itself is stylish, lively, and very well located, but what I will remember most is the exceptional service provided by these four team members. They are a credit to The Hoxton. Thank you, Angelica, Morgan, Rianna, and Sophie, for your kindness and for making my stay such a positive experience.
