Sun Street Hotel Shoreditch

Sun Street Hotel reminds you why opting away from the mainstream hotel chains is great. The hotel has character; in a good way. It is small, located in the City of London near Shoreditch and right by Liverpool Station and Moorgate Tube station. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but thoughtful. The bed is comfortable, and there’s a kettle and an Illy coffee maker. Wifi is fast. The bathroom is large and offers a great powerful shower. There is a safe and the closet has hanging room, drawers and shelving. Like a hotel should be but the likes of Moxy try to convince us are unnecessary. There are also buses, quick access to Ubers and taxis yet at nights it’s dead quiet. The hotel has bar and restaurant and a pub and Starbucks are right next door. In short - a perfect base when visiting London for work and fun.

The hotel is beautiful; every detail has been meticulously considered and is evident. The staff are exceptional and elevated the experience to five stars. The room was lovely and the shower was one of the best I've had; I will definitely book another stay.

We’ve stayed here 3 times now and every time it’s been amazing! The towels are so fluffy and luxurious. The rooms are amazing and super well decorated and make every corner of the hotel an interesting thing to look at. I can’t recommend it enough. The WhatsApp service makes it so easy and convenient to message the reception for anything you could need. At £200 per night, you can definitely find cheaper options but considering the great service, amazing decor and atmosphere, as well as the splendid location (2min walk to liverpool street), I truly think that there aren’t a lot of places out there as good as this.

This is my second time back, now with my family and definitely not the last time! This hotel is just perfect. Lovely rooms, the best shower ever, amazing and friendly staff and the location one cannot beat ! Definitely advise all to visit the close by market - the Spitafields - amazing location!
