We stayed in the hotel for 1 night as part of a city trip. Design of the rooms are, interesting, but overall not bad. Something that, in my opinion, could improve is that the outlets are too far away from the bed thus you will need an extension cord if you want your phone charging next to your bed when your sleep. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. We opted for the breakfast in the morning, and to our big surprise a large part of it you had to pay extra for (even for pancakes!). The rest of the buffet was small, bland and tasted like it had been stored in a freezer for months or years and just reheated. This was nothing like my experience a couple years ago where the breakfast was cooked before you in the open kitchen fresh. Additionally, when we asked the waiter about this, she said rudely said that we were imagining this and we could just take something from the buffet if we didn’t want to pay. Overall, fine for a night, but I’ll skip the breakfast next time.

Amazing venue for Afternoon tea, I have wanted to come here for years and was not disappointed. We sat in a beautiful setting in the Garden. The food was so beautifully presented and the teas were delicious. Our favourite teas being the Alice blend, followed by iced teas. All the food was tasty, especially the cucumber sandwiches, scones and sweet caterpillar. The extra touches like the magic butterfly tea, shrinking potion and Cheshire cat, and brilliant waiters made the experience top notch.
a Morgans Originals Hotel – Wonderful Service, Ready for a Refresh ✨🏨 We stayed at Sanderson London for a few nights during our visit to London, and the biggest highlight was definitely the staff. Everyone we met, from the front desk, doormen, to the housekeeping team, was genuinely warm, friendly, and welcoming. Their hospitality made us feel very well looked after throughout our stay. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore central London on foot or by public transport. That said, while I appreciate Philippe Starck’s iconic design, the hotel is now starting to feel dated and would really benefit from a renovation. The rooms no longer have the same fresh, contemporary feel they once did. For a 5-star hotel, I also expected a more complete set of toiletry amenities, which felt a little lacking. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay thanks to the outstanding service, and with a thoughtful refurbishment, this hotel could easily return to being one of London’s standout design hotels.
We stayed in the Loft Suite at the Sanderson during our trip to London for Wimbledon and had a great stay. From the moment we arrived, the little personalised touches in the room made us feel really welcome. The bed was so comfortable, and the pillows were some of the best I've ever had in a hotel. One of the best things about the room was the bath- I ended up using it every evening after a long day, and it was the perfect way to unwind! The bathroom products were lovely too and made the whole experience feel that bit more special. The service was excellent throughout. I needed an iron during our stay, and it was brought up to the room really quickly. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was another main highlight, with loads of choice and everything we tried was really good. We honestly couldn't fault our stay. The hotel felt stylish but relaxed, the staff were brilliant, the location was ideal and we'd definitely stay here again next time we're in London.
I hadn't known it held Philip Starke designed interiors, so I was initially a bit confused about the lobby. Floor to ceiling whispy drapes, blingy mirrored door frames, an impossibly long low couch, fun modern sculptures. Ok fine. Then I checked into my room. The staff automatically upgraded me, almost apologetic, which also confused me. Then they explained they found my profile in the Accor files - again, I hadn't a clue the hotel was part of one of my favorite rewards programs. Awesome. But when I walked into my room, it all clicked. The ultramodern 50s architecture building, the floor to ceiling glass walls, the freestanding white tub, muted blue glass everywhere, dampened by gorgeous white drapes throughout, and a regal custom sled shaped bed in silver. My favorite hotel designer, another masterpiece. I didn't get to roam the premises much, but there are very cool chill out spaces tucked away behind mirrored doors in the lobby, and a vast bar cum restaurant in crisp mirror and glass finish, DJ spinning both weekend nights that I dragged in from doing rounds in Soho. The location is great - well within striking distance of Soho, Piccadilly, Marylebone, and many cultural institutions of the City, but tucked into a quieter block right off Oxford Street.
