Well. What can I say? Great location. Staff apart from our initial receptionist( who was lovely) were terrible. Their English was well below par. The young chap was not friendly and the late shift lady was vile. As we waited and tried to check in, three other parties encountered problems.The beds were as expected to be honest.Our shower was disgusting, as someone had urinated in it.Coming home late at night, a simple leaflet instructing which gates are locked would have saved nearly 50 minutes.I also called the reception 38 times with no one picking up my call from the hours of 23.02 and 22.35 Is this a safe place????
Shoutout to Negin!! When I first arrived, she helped me with everything: she showed me what a private room looked like, went though the different pricings with me, and then recommended a dorm for me when I said I couldn’t afford the private one. She suggested locations for me to buy something I needed too and gave me a map of the city. Great service! Overall, I had a good stay, and the location of the hostel is just amazing. I really liked walking through the park to get to and from the hostel.

I am currently staying at this place. Location in middle of park, very inconvenient if you have big bags and also not very assuring for late returns.
Most imp the female dorms on lower level are like furnaces. There are unopenable windows. U will have people sweating inside WITHOUT AIR. I have 2 days booking but not able to sleep 10 mins with barely any clothes. U feel suffocated and hot. When I asked them to change after staying up through the night they have asked for charge to shift to upper room additional cos I used the bed. Strange I have 2 day booking paid but I am unable to sleep even a night.
Please see your ability to sleep in a furnace before booking. Rest the place seemed neat . The setting in the morning out in the park seems good
U can't sleep in the common area for air .. so if u wish too get yourself l jailed pls go here. Else I wud assume it is fine in winters. 6.30 am without any moment of sleep thru the night I am forced to put this authentic review from the garden. :) .
Very brilliant staff and a very brilliant stay
We were in a rush to get out of a bad hostel and were desperately searching for last minute accommodation. We found this quiet little hostel and were surprised by the very central location, especially for the price we had paid.
Because it was such a last minute reservation, we had accidentally booked a room for the following night instead, which we unfortunately didn’t realise until we went to check in.
This was when the lovely Denis at reception came in. He immediately reassured us, remaining calm and professional throughout. Without him me and my partner would’ve been very worried, as it was past 9PM in central London and we would’ve likely found it very difficult to get a room at all, let alone at an affordable price. Thanks to his diligent effort, he was able to amend our booking, getting us the room for the night with no extra charge, and no stress. He even personally showed us to our room, making sure that our stay was peaceful and safe throughout the evening.
The rooms themselves were in excellent condition, clean floors, beds, bathroom was also pristine with no problems whatsoever. The morning staff were just as lovely as the evening staff, and me and my partner want to personally thank the entire safestay team for their service and professionalism. We will be coming back here on our next trip to London, and recommending it to anyone we know who is visiting.
For anyone that reads this review, ignore the negative feedbacks, they are baloney. If you need to find a budget-friendly hostel in central London, this is the place for you.

The location was decent however odd people would wait outside to be let in and it was easy for them to follow. There were a few staff members who were super lovely and very helpful. The rooms were extremely hot and we had one fan, the rooms on the top floor should have more fans and more ventilation when it’s hotter, especially in the box rooms. It was far too hot to sleep in there. We only had one towel for two people and they didn’t have anymore, however when asked for another we were given the one you had to purchase (we got it for free though) it was an awful texture. There was constantly no toilet roll and the shower only had one temperature which was very hot.
