To begin with, the room lacked even the most basic amenities that are typically expected at this price point. No slippers, bathrobe or even toothpaste were provided, which was disappointing and not reflective of a premium stay. 1. Broken Shower Door The shower door was broken, meaning that every time it was used, water leaked all over the bathroom floor. This created both an inconvenience and a potential safety hazard. 2. Blood-Stained Bedsheets The most serious issue was that the bedsheets had visible blood stains on them. This is completely unacceptable and raises significant concerns about hygiene and housekeeping standards. I have a health condition, and exposure to bodily fluids presents a genuine risk to my health. Had I not been staying at Kula due to an emergency, I would have left immediately. Instead, I was forced to sleep on the sofa bed because I did not feel safe sleeping in the bed that had been provided. 3. Dirty and Damaged Furniture The furniture throughout the room was in a poor condition. There were visible fluid stains that appeared fresh, making it seem as though the furniture had not been cleaned properly before my arrival. In addition, the main table was heavily worn, with cracks and peeling throughout its surface. The overall condition of the room was tired, unhygienic and nowhere near the standard I would expect for the amount I paid. Overall, I was appalled with my experience. The room was not maintained to an acceptable standard, and I do not believe it represented value for money in any way. As a result of these issues, I would not consider staying at Kula again, and I feel that the money I spent was entirely wasted. After emailing Kula they had the SHEER cheek to offer me 10% off my next stay. Next stay? You couldn’t pay me to stay here. KEEP YOUR MONEY don’t bother booking here so many other places with higher standards for cheaper.

The apartment was an ideal location for us, just a short walk to 2 Underground stations and a DLR station. The check-in Comms were easy and it was easy to get in and settled. The room was comfortable and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The rooms were really clean when we arrived and they checked if we needed anything else.
AVOID AT ALL COST! Where do I start? - there's a disgusting smell in the hallway (combination of curry and detergent), everytime you step inside you're confronted with it customer service is non-existent. They spam you with messages about if they can do anything for you and when you ask for something (towels, garbage bags, etc.), they reply with that they can't provide it. - room code didn't work so we had to wait at the door with a child until they replied and resolved it. and the most ridiculous thing is that they confirmed they would provide a baby cot for our 2-years old. When we arrived they gave a cot WITOUTH A MATTRESS (see picture). They wanted her to sleep on the iron frame! When I confronted them with it, they said they couldn't arrange a mattress. Our child couldn't sleep at night and neither could we. And the worst part is that after our complaint they ordered a cot with a mattress and GAVE IT TO OTHER GUESTS. This is by far our worst stay ever, very rude and incompetent customer support. Don't waste your money, you're better off somewhere else!
Bed Bug Alert – Avoid Kula Hotel (8, India street) I would like to warn future travelers about several serious issues. The presence of bed bugs in the room had a significant impact on my stay, with unpleasant consequences well beyond the night spent there. Beyond this health concern, there is also a real feeling of insecurity: poorly controlled access and an overall unsafe environment, making it difficult to feel at ease. Finally, the lack of support and responsiveness from the management is particularly concerning. No proper assistance or concrete solution was offered in response to these problems. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel until these critical issues are properly addressed.
Good location, very close to two Underground stations. Tower of London and Tower Bridge are just a few minutes away on foot, which is a big plus. The apartment was clean, tidy and perfectly fine for a city stay, with everything we needed. We were allowed an early check-in for an extra fee, which was convenient after arriving early. Not cheap, but considering the location, the price is acceptable.
