One bed apartment is great if you want somewhere to stay that's comfier than a hotel room. You can definitely relax in the living room when you've had a busy day. Very close to Paddington station so really convenient to get to, and Hyde Park is almost on the door step. Kitchen had all the basic stuff you'd want, and a water jug for in the fridge which was great given the hot weather. Our apartment was mostly north facing, on the fourth floor, a bit warm in the heat wave but manageable.
Check-in was easy. They provide a code for the hotel door that is also used for your room door. Everything is communicated through Whatsapp which makes life easy. Good response time to queries. Less one star because rooms are not air-conditioned which makes it less comfy in summer. There was a fan in the bedroom but it was connected to the wall so could not be unplugged. Open windows at night for fresh air but sun rises at 530am in summer and if the windows shades are down, any breeze causes the blinds to swing up and clatter. PRO TIP: No remote control for the fan - but if you download the Dyson app, you can control it. Otherwise it might be stuck on whatever the previous occupants set it at, which in my case was HIGH and noisy...
The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. I stayed there for almost 7 days. The room was around 30 m², which is a good size for one person or comfortable for two at most. The location is excellent — about a 5-minute walk to both Lancaster Gate and Paddington Underground stations, making it very easy to get around the city. The staff were friendly and professional, and I would especially like to thank the Arab staff member Adwan. He was extremely cooperative and truly outstanding , he helped me a lot and definitely deserves special praise. One thing to note is that most services are available but it is a self-service (such as room cleaning, laundry, and similar), and breakfast is not provided. Aside from that, everything was great and I would happily stay here again.
I would generally say this was an outstanding accommodation for the value. We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment with my mother in law which had decent privacy for all including a spacious living room with a pullout on the main floor and a second story master. 1.5 bathrooms. Having stayed at enough economy hotels abroad we never expect comfort to exceed home. At Native Hyde the bedding was as good as it gets. Perfect pillows, you drift off to sleep without tossing. Queen size bed. Kitchen fully stocked with all necessities. Bathrooms feature towel warmers and outstanding water pressure with hot water immediately. Most of all the staff was especially warm and guest-centric. Held our luggage when we arrived 2 hours early and on hand for little requests that make all the difference. Kudos to Red, especially for making our stay most comfortable. The location speaks for itself, and surprisingly quiet for its central location. The only thing i’d caution (atleast for the 1-bedroom apartment) is the ceiling was a bit low for a tall person, but that’s knit picky. You’d be lucky to find the comfort and ammenities at any nearby accommodations at undoubtably double the price. Will certainly return next time we visit London.
