A nice hotel, convenient for where we needed to be the next day. Staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was lovely and clean. Room was grand, nice shower room, the bed was huge. We had a nice meal down in the bar, my steak was done exactly the way I wanted. Unfortunately, I didn't sleep a wink. I can't put my finger on it, but there was something about the bed. The pillows were too soft, the mattress was too hard and there was just something not right about the duvet.

Great location within City of London. Barbican and Farringdon tube stations are in close proximity, giving excellent connectivity to Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton Airports. Generally quiet neighborhood gets busy as the pubs nearby come alive. Breakfast is average and monotonous. The staff is friendly / helpful, especially Ms Kasturi, the front desk manager. She was always willing to help with directions and shopping advice!
I strongly advise against booking a stay at this establishment. Despite charging an exorbitant £350 per night, the hotel operates with a relentless focus on nickel-and-diming its guests, failing to deliver on even the most basic promised amenities. From the outset, the service was severely lacking. I was assured a complimentary bottle of water in my room upon arrival—a standard expectation at this price point—which was never provided. Getting assistance is an exercise in futility; dialing '0' for the front desk rings endlessly with rarely any answer. More baffling still, while I was out for the day, housekeeping entered my room and inexplicably removed my own full bottle of water without leaving a replacement. When I brought this straightforward grievance to the front desk, the situation escalated from mere incompetence to outright disrespect. I was confronted by a bald male staff member—who seemed to be overcompensating with a remarkably poor, affected British accent—who had the audacity to accuse me of falsifying my story just to scam the hotel out of a bottle of water. To be spoken to in such a condescending and accusatory manner as a paying guest is completely unacceptable. The physical state of the hotel does little to compensate for the abysmal service. The guest rooms are uncomfortably cramped, and the elevator emanates a distinct, noxious odor reminiscent of decay. While the hotel benefits from a highly convenient location, that is its sole redeeming quality. There is an abundance of alternative accommodations in the immediate vicinity. Save your money and book elsewhere; you are guaranteed to find vastly superior service and far more professional management than what this establishment is capable of providing.
We spent here one night, but the hotel overcame our expectations! Victor at the reception was the most helpful and kind - he gave us a lot of advice, as we were attending a concert in Wembley, so we really appreciated that! Room was really clean and comfortable with spacious bathroom with all necessary amenities, like hairdryer, shampoos, etc. We especially appreciated very nice notes everywhere, like Strike a pose, you are on camera or Too hot to handle in the bathroom shower😄. Bed was really comfortable, we slept really well, it was very quiet during the night. Overall, great value for money, great experience and atmosphere, with walking distance to St.Paul's cathedral and a minute to metro station. We'll definitely come back!
We had a lovely stay at Malmaison London. The hotel has a great atmosphere, stylish decor, and a welcoming feel. A special thank you to Victor for his unique and thoughtful attention throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to make us feel valued and looked after, and his kindness truly made our experience extra special. The only small downside was that the rooms were a bit hot, which made it slightly less comfortable at times. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful, and we genuinely appreciated the excellent service. We would happily stay here again.
