We hosted a lunch for our family and friends following our legal wedding ceremony and we couldn’t speak highly enough of the team at Cannizaro House, Hotel du Vin. On the lead up to the event, Kristyna was in touch with us regularly to ensure every detail was covered and was very patient in answering our questions. On the day of the event, Dalma, Gaurav and Subi were incredibly attentive and made sure everything went smoothly. Our guests were incredibly happy with the beautiful location and still talk about how fantastic the food was! We were very impressed with the beautiful rooms and really appreciated all efforts the team went to in making sure we had an excellent stay. We can’t recommend Cannizaro House and the exceptional team highly enough! Thank you.

Avoid at all costs! - It's a big historical property, but in terms of service it's not a real five-star hotel. I've stayed at one-star hotels with much better service! - Gave me a room that was worse than the one I had booked - Tried to sell me an upgrade to get the room I had already booked and paid for - When I checked my booking and discovered the issue and raised it politely (at this point I had assumed it was a just a simple mistake rather than total dysfunction of the hotel), the receptionist made a show of loudly calling me 'a complainer' in front of me and of other guests to her colleague on her phone, and grudgingly gave me what I had paid for with a scowl. - Having already carried my bags to the first room, I got scowled-at again for asking for the hotel to take them up to the new room. - In the end had to carry my own bags up a flight of stairs anyway because the porter didn't show up. - Couldn't find the room because they are named after wines instead of being numbered, so there is no ordering, and the signage is poor. Asked staff for help. They couldn't find the room either. After several minutes they found the porter, who after looking around finally found the room, but nonetheless treated me like a nuisance for not having waited for him to eventually appear in the first room, for not having found the new room, etc. And as soon as I opened the door (but before even walking in) was asked 'So is this room OK then?' - Only one receptionist at peak early-evening check-in time at a supposedly fully-booked, supposedly five-star hotel, many other guests seemed dissatisfied and frustrated and had things to resolve, so sorting out all of the above took the best part of an hour. - Bed was lopsided - not flipping the mattresses properly - Rugs and etc. are in need of maintenance - hotel is looking shabby. - Hotel restaurant looked pretty sad & empty - decided not even to risk it given the experience with the hotel service.
Myself and my (now) husband had a lovely stay at Cannziaro House for our wedding weekend. All the staff were so attentive but Malika in particular was wonderful. The grounds are exceptional and the rooms are beautifully grand with so much character! It's a hotel which feels like home. Parking is £12 overnight for hotel guests with ample spaces right at the front of the hotel. We will definately be back!
As a regular to the hotel This afternoon I went with a friend for a late lunch . Our lunch which was only a Panini took ages to come and when it did it was inedible . We complain and they redid iit but the second was worse . The manager then served us corgettis frites and olives on the house while we wait for yet another to be made . This took another 30 mins and was tasteless as the manager said it was on the house I tried to eat it as couldn’t wait a further 30 mins as I was very hungry . I managed to eat half only . After all that when we were leaving a new manager was on duty MAX and he charged us for the awful Panini saying the old manager had told him they weren’t on the house and argued with us in the mot rudest arrogant way I’ve ever seen in any restaurant let alone such a hotel As yours. The whole experience was stressful and awful and from being a regular there I and all my friends who go will never eat there again . Such a beautiful hotel with terrible chef and even worse managers . Take my advice DO NOT EAT THERE .
Went here for a corporate event. Nice food and fun games to play, decent amount of space. They had connect four etc. Soft drinks for non drinkers etc. Just good vibes all around. Likely good for weddings too. The car park onsite is largeish and close to the entrance. Toliets were clean. Staff were helpful. Bartender was good on drinks despite being one man for that many people
