Holiday Inn London - Kensington High St. By Ihg

Five stars from me, Mr Grumpy Old Man according to my wife of 52 years. But what's not to like about this hotel, especially Asst Manager Alex Drew. He has been our 'go to' man for years since we started staying exclusively in London at this Holiday Inn ever since meeting him. He always acknowledges us and can't do enough to make our stay perfect .. and it always has been due to him. Great location. Great service. Great staff. Vacation after vacation after vacation.

I had an excellent experience with Dhawan at reception. She was extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout. She handled every situation calmly and confidently, listened carefully to my concerns, and provided helpful and effective solutions. Even when dealing with questions and unexpected situations, she remained patient, polite, and attentive. Her excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile made the entire experience smooth and pleasant. She made me feel valued and well looked after. Outstanding customer service and a real credit to the team. Highly recommended!

We stayed at holiday inn Kensington for 2 nights as we checked in Erika welcomed myself and my 7 years old daughter with warm and efficient services. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at holiday inn the bar staff and concierge staff are very helpful too. Great location for natural history museum, harrods and paradox museum. 20 mins taxi to London eye etc. The breakfast was great spoiled with lots of choices. Thank you so much for all the staff at the holiday inn Kensington during our stay its was so welcoming and pleasant!

Great location and lovely public areas. Booked a twin room in January for 3 nights in July. Arrived to be allocated a double, despite booking a twin and confirming this by email. I was travelling with my friend, this was not acceptable. The receptionist was most unhelpful and advised there were no twins available. She suggested we spend the night in the room and they would change our room the next day. We advised that this was not acceptable. The receptionist did not understand why we didn't want to share a bed. Eventually a twin room was found. It was so small we could not walk around comfortably. The second bed was up against the window. There was about 6 inches between the end of the bed and the wardrobe, which explained why the doors were about 18 inches off the floor! No refrigerator. Very poor and only suitable for a solo traveller. The staff overall were very polite and helpful. I do feel the reception staff need training in dealing with customers. We were made to feel like a nuisance and no apology was offered to us.
