Everything was excellent from our arrival to our departure. The car park had plenty of spaces. The welcome, the cleanliness, the polite, well dressed staff were all exceptional. The room itself was great. Queen size comfortable bed, decent size tv, tea and coffee making facilities and nice size bathroom with stand under and hand held shower.
We had the afternoon tea which was excellent and the breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of variety. The full english was again delicious.
We will definitely be staying here again and a big 10 out of 10 to the owners and staff.
Currently staying here at this lovely hotel. Very friendly staff, very clean and very well presented. Breakfast has a good selection. The room has everything you need , clean with some lovely touches incl iron/board hairdryer. This hotel got everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Thank you !
Friendly and clean hotel. With lovely staff. A mixture if tourists and workers using it. I had a double room with a breakfast and a two course meal. A fair.rpoce paid.for it's location. My room was well presented and modern. Breakfast buffet which works so much quicker and the evening meal was great.
I visited this hotel solely to use the Tesla charging facilities at around 9:51pm. I parked in the designated Tesla charging bay, remained with my vehicle while it charged, and did not use any of the hotel's other facilities.
To my surprise, I later received a Parking Charge Notice from ParkingEye, which I am currently appealing. There was no clear or prominent signage that made it obvious Tesla drivers needed to pay to park or register their vehicle while using the chargers. If such signs existed, they certainly weren't visible or legible in the dark.
It's disappointing that genuine EV users can receive parking charges for using the charging facilities provided at the hotel. I hope the hotel reviews its parking arrangements and ensures any parking requirements for EV charging customers are clearly communicated, particularly during the evening when visibility is reduced.
Until this is resolved, I'd advise other Tesla and EV drivers to check the parking requirements carefully before using the charging points.
I would not recommend staying here, especially if reliable Wi-Fi or A/C is important to you. The Wi-Fi did not work well during our stay, which was very frustrating. The A/C broke down twice while we were there. The rooms were not especially clean and felt quite old and outdated. Housekeeping was inconsistent as well; they skipped our room twice despite clear labelling, and we had to notify them each time. No soap refill either, again we had to let them know it was empty. There was no fridge in the room too, which somehow felt on-brand for the whole experience. The food in the restaurant was terrible and tasted microwaved. Overall, it was far from the best stay.
