We stayed for 3 nights. The room was tidy, but there was a lot of dirt under the bed, and the bathroom sink was clogged. One evening, cigarette smoke entered our room, possibly through the ventilation, and it was difficult to get rid of it, even with the bathroom extractor fan. Unfortunately, the rooms are not well soundproofed, and we could clearly hear our neighbours talking, walking. The colours are nice, but the layout could be improved. The sofa is not very practical, the light switches are confusing, and the lights next to the mirrors are too large and poorly positioned. The reception staff were mostly friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the nearby building was fantastic, with great coffee, friendly staff and very fast service. I highly recommend the breakfast!

Photos are not accurate (seems like they use enhanced lighting). The rooms are quite dark, and you have one tiny window that provides limited natural light and cannot be opened. The rooms are also tiny. My bathroom light also wasn't working. Front desk said they'll send someone to fix, but it never got fixed across a 12 day stay. No cleaning service inside the room during this time, either. My bed had a deep indentation in the middle like the mattress had gone flat. On the positive side, the laundry room is good, though pricey for what it is. The location is also convenient.
This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location. From the moment you enter the lobby, it becomes obvious that cleanliness is not a priority in this building. Check-in itself was fine, and the staff initially seemed friendly. However, the moment we entered our room, we were hit by a strong and unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom. The room had clearly not been cleaned properly. The kitchen counter was dirty, the toilet was dirty, and there were hairs on the bed sheets. We went back to the lobby and raised our concerns with the staff. They offered us an "upgrade" to what they called a suite, but it turned out to be virtually identical to the original room. Unfortunately, it was just as dirty. Once again, we found hairs on the bathroom floor and on the bed sheets. I spoke to the team again, but there was no manager available. Nobody could tell us when the manager would be back or how we could speak to them directly. Since we were disgusted by the condition of both rooms and no longer felt comfortable staying there, we requested a refund. The front desk employee simply rolled his eyes and handed me an email address. He was unable, or unwilling, to provide a phone number or any direct contact details for the manager. Now, one week later, nobody has responded to my email, nobody answers the phone, and I still have not received a refund. I believe that providing guests with a reasonably clean room is the most basic expectation of any hotel. Unfortunately, this property failed even that standard. And I have not even mentioned how extremely small and cramped the rooms are. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere.
The location for this hotel is great. The room itself wasn't bad for the price but there were definitely some issues. Our television didn't work, and the room itself was quite dirty. Dust everywhere, trash in the bathroom, and the kitchen area definitely had not been cleaned. Dirty dishes were left behind and etc. The blanket that was left at the foot of the bed had a lot of debris on it and looked like it had been drug through a dust pile. We primarily booked this room for its location to the underground as well as the ability to do our own laundry at the unit as we were traveling and wanted to pack light. Unfortunately the washer didn't wash our clothes very well and came out with a lot of hair and gross things all over it. Then when we tried to use the dryer it didn't work at all and would quit after 5 minutes. This charges 5 quid for every time you want to use the dryer. We tried several times and it didn't work. The staff suggested that we go to another hotel, except that was all of our clothing as we were leaving the next day. The rest of our trip our clothing was wet, and smelled awful from whatever was in that washer and dryer. The staff couldn't care less about it, and urged us to email to complain to get a refund on the washer and dryer fees. I have now emailed 4 times and haven't heard anything back. judging by the responses on negative reviews on here I am sure I wont get a response back from them and will just get a generic response to this email as well.
Seriously, there are way too many options in London to select this prison cell/hot box mess. It was soooooo gross. There were several members of our group traveling, so lots of examples to pull from. One member of the group had long dark hairs scattered about his room - on the bed, the furniture, counter - upon arrival; he has short hair. The toilet of another colleague's room had been used and still had poo in it. Several members of the group had air cons that did not work the ENTIRE visit and or made horrific screeching noises throughout, resulting in zero sleep. For my personal room, there was crusted food on the base of the table, some sort of film on all of the dishes, half a roll of toilet paper upon arrival, the sink was clogged, my air con didn't work properly, some of the lights wouldn't turn on at all, there was dust and spiderwebs all over, the toilet was in a small, coffin-like room 10 feet from the bathroom, the bed was extremely hard, and the furniture was stained and dirty. Despite staying a full week, my room was not cleaned or serviced once. We collectively began referring to these as the "prison cells" and "hot boxes" as there was a single slim window that could not be opened, so no fresh air. With the air cons not working properly, it was pretty miserable. I wore socks in the room constantly as the floor was too gross to step on and the bottoms were grey each night when I took them off to crawl onto my allotted concrete slab bed. I also had 2 separate cab drivers comment on the location, indicating that it definitely was not the best area to stay in. I will say the lobby was fine and the staff were nice enough, but I'd recommend picking someplace that won't make you think you've stumbled into a middle ages reinactment hotel.
