Rooms were lovely. Great night sleep and spacious as sharing with my two daughters. Hotel 5 mins from tube station which was great as watching a show in Central London. Only thing that let's it down is the curt breakfast manager - really cold welcome ! Also the food needs to be a lot hotter! Tepid but good spread

Blakemore Hotel was pleasant and comfortable, and the staff were generally polite and welcoming. However, unresolved issues and disappointing breakfasts affected our seven-night stay. The portable bidet (shattaf) had extremely low water pressure, making it practically unusable, despite the sink tap having much stronger pressure. I reported this to the gentleman at reception and showed him the problem. He acknowledged the low pressure and promised to look into it, but nobody came to address it throughout our stay. Acknowledging a complaint without following through is disappointing. Breakfast was exactly the same every single day, with very limited variety for guests requiring halal food. We ended up having beans, cheese and croissants every morning. I found the mushrooms inedible, and the scrambled eggs appeared undercooked. I explained my concerns to the person responsible for breakfast, but she did not seem to understand what I was raising, and the experience remained unchanged. The hotel needs to improve its response to guest concerns, breakfast quality and the variety of options suitable for different dietary requirements. Despite the comfortable surroundings and pleasant staff, the lack of follow-up and repetitive breakfast left us disappointed. Based on our experience, I would not recommend staying here.
Place: positioned in very safe and clean neighbourhood, near beautiful Hyde park, underground is not so far as other guests commented (700-800m approximately). Rooms: clean, with big toilets, AC is working even when card is not inserted (when you are out of the room) if you leave it on, which is really good if you want to come to fresh room especially in summer. You get complimentary 2 bottles of water daily. I didn’t have any problems with fridge, it was cool and kept everything cold. Beds were comfortable and you had various pillows option. Breakfast: Coffee machine made perfect espresso, but some food as eggs were bland without any taste (not even salty) but I think that’s more UK thing with food… Even If I am not sweet tooth they had very good croissants, jams, honey, cereals and also melon and mango was there which is thumbs up, but I think they can make more meat options. For breakfast you can also find sausages (good), fried cheese (good), eggs (tasteless, bland), ham (good), beans (not bad), low fat greek yogurt with various tastes were very very good. Gym (exceptional): what surprised me the most was the gym which had treadmills, stationery bike, 2-20kg dumbbells, wire station with various attachments, bench (small adjustable), bar with weights, water fountain, disinfectants, towels. This is very god for small to medium sized hotel as this one. Which was not so perfect: Even if the cleaning staff was fast and very efficient and room was always perfectly clean, one morning they were so loud with cleaning the hall that they woke me up. Also at 6:00 if your room is positioned near trash leaving site you can hear workers cleaning it and waking you up almost every morning with soumd of cracking glass, but other things were very good. All accounted hotel was nice, staff was very eager to help, bar and reception was good, yes elevator is maybe smaller but you have 2 you can use (depends on position of the room), so no problem with it.
Well, the whole hotel looks like it is falling apart. Our room had a table that had stains that were there as well as a crack in multiple areas of the wall. The light above the sofa bed didn't turn on. It just flashed. You coulldn't turn off that light without turning off the rest of the lights in the room. Breakfast was present, but it was relatively awful, especially for kids. They went all in on eggs, sausage, etc, but would benefit from some more variety. Fruit was mostly melon and some apples. It was also the same every day for the most part, which is unfortunate for long stays. I regretted getting the breakfast, and wish I just ate out for breakfast or grabbed something from a grocery store. The carpet in the room was in rough shape and there were moldy spots in the bathroom. Air conditioning was essentially non functional as it did not cool down the room at night. Lastly, we had a stressful experience after a child's accident when housekeeping reported a damage issue to the mattress and they temporarily deactivated our card. The manager reviewed the situation the following morning and stated verything was OK, which was appreciated. After investigation, it was determined the damage wasn't even by us (which is also a bit disturbing from a cleanliness perspective). It's also a bit of a walk from Paddington Station (15 minutes).
We stayed at Blakemore Hyde Park for 5 nights. On the positive side, the staff were kind and pleasant, and the rooms themselves were comfortable. However, there were quite a few issues that affected our overall experience. Location and accessibility: The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the nearest public transport stations. In addition, the closest stations are not central, which often required multiple line changes. On average, it took us around 30 minutes to get to major central attractions in London that should have been much easier to reach. This ended up being a waste of both time and money. Elevator: There is only one small elevator serving all six floors, and it fits a maximum of five people. This resulted in very long waiting times throughout our stay. Breakfast area: The breakfast itself was perfectly fine, but there are only around 15 tables for approximately 90 rooms. On most mornings, we had to wait in line for a table. One morning, the only way to avoid the queue was to arrive at 7:45 AM. Room issues: The shower water pressure was very poor, and there was mold in the soap area. The towels had a very strong detergent smell that was quite unpleasant. Power outlets: There is only few power outlet in the entire room, and it is located far from the beds. This means you can’t charge your phone next to you overnight, which is especially inconvenient when traveling in Europe. Luckily, we brought a power strip, but guests who don’t will likely struggle. Mini fridge: There is a mini fridge where you can store bottled water, but it doesn’t actually cool properly — it mostly just maintains the existing temperature. Beds: The beds are spacious and comfortable, but the mattresses are very soft, so anyone who prefers firmer support may wake up with back discomfort. Wi-Fi: The biggest disappointment was the Wi-Fi. Although the hotel advertises free Wi-Fi everywhere, the connection was unreliable, constantly dropped, and even when connected it was weak and very slow. Luggage handling: We also stored our luggage at the hotel, and unfortunately, during storage our suitcase was forced under a metal shelf and got torn — right before our flight. We did not receive any compensation or proper response regarding this issue. Overall, there are several significant issues that potential guests should be aware of before booking.
