Hotel Au Charme Rabelaisien

We so enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff is absolutely lovely and the rooms are ample and very nicely appointed and comfortable. We were attending a formal wedding in Amboise and the staff jumped in and took photos of us in our formal attire. Lovely staff and a must for travelers in the center of Amboise.

The management of this hotel has made it a delightful place from where to explore the chateaux of the area. Everything was well-appointed and very friendly and charming. We highly recommend the location, and the view from our room was one of those magical touches you can only hope for - merci a tous.

I was very fortunate to stay at the Au Charme Rabelaisien in Amboise during a recent business trip. The room was lovely and had a wonderful view of the town and castle which is a short walk from the hotel and surrounded by several dozen wonderful international restaurants. The staff was amazing. The owner Jacque and family along with his staff Marie, Angel, and Sureimy were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help travelers feel at home. I enjoyed the pool, breakfasts, appetizers, bar, and relaxing garden and will certainly stay again the next time I am in town! A true gem in the heart of Amboise!

Nice hotel in the middle of Amboise, new owner is charming, professional hotelier who cares about his staff and his customers. Hotel itself is well serviced and a good location if you're basing yourself there. Staff were efficient and friendly and reception spoke perfect English. Breakfast however, could be better. Pod coffee is not good coffee! It would be nice to have some nice local beans in a French Press. Pasteries weren't good and cooked options were largely unavailable when we came through. We only ate there once and just grabbed a croissant and a coffee from the Boulangerie just down the road for the rest of our stay. Obviously the hotel is a hit with Americans in all their forms. The good and the obnoxious. Overalll would recommend
