Another fantastic and very well-run tour from start to finish. Kolja (our guide) was superb and professional. He was very knowledgeable on Slovenian history, and he delivered this in an engaging way. The different elements on the tour were all great, and everything ran to time. It was a thoroughly enjoyable tour - thank you

I had an amazing time on my tour of Slovenia, visiting the spectacular cave, the impressive castle, and the charming coastal town of Piran! Each destination was unique and absolutely beautiful. The tour was very well organized, and our guide made the experience even more special with interesting stories, local knowledge, and a friendly attitude.
This tour was very good. Castle and caves were really interesting and Piran was a lovely town. The tour guide was excellent providing excellent history and recommendations - and very personable. We enjoyed the tour very much.
A full day trip but the ride was great. The cave, castle and the town of Piran were very interesting. Barbara is a very good guide.
We had a great day trip from Ljubljana. The tour was very well organised and we loved the caves, castle and Piran. Our guide David was very helpful, and it is clear he loves doing the tours.
Despite poor weather, it was an excellent day. Igor was a safe driver and a good guide who gave clear imformation.
It was a lot packed into one day. Our guide Bostjan was great at organizing everything and was very knowledgeable. The caves provided their own set tour and guide. The castle was enjoyable and we had audio guides. Piran was very a picturesque coastal town. We had plenty of free time to have a late lunch and see much of the town at our own pace. It was a bit of a drive back to Ljubljana but definitely worth the trip.
Despite the early start this was a great trip. Piran is a lovely place on the Adriatic coast - lovely promenade, walk to the church, cafes serving traditional olive oil cake, (delicious!) ice cream and interesting shops. The castle , the oldest in Slovenia, was excellent with a free audio guide and well set out rooms. The caves were amazing - large cavernous areas with huge stalagmites and stalagtites. The train, from which you entered and exited was very unusual and the guided walking tour once inside was very informative. Took about an hour but mostly flat with railings and some steps.
Great tour. Tour guide was very informative & great group of people!
A fantastic trip with a great mix of 3 sites. The castle is stunning and so unique built in to the cave. The caves are stunning with a train ride through a large part then a 2km walk which was very busy and quite uphill in parts. Slopes, very little stairs so not for people with limited mobility. Then train rude back out. Visually stunning. Piran is a beautiful coastal town, you have lunch at your own expense in your own time. We sat at one of the restaurants on the promenade I've, food was lovely but service was very slow and ate in to our time to wander through and around the town and up to church. Bear this in mind if you want to sit down to eat but still want to walk round and see lots. Our guide Rocco was fantastic, so knowledgeable and very entertaining whilst remaining professional. A decent length drive back allowed for a little nap on the way. We would highly recommend
Excellent review of the areas visited. The guide was extremely nice and I felt like the content was excellent. I was very concerned as the guide drove significantly above the speed limit reaching 144 kilometers per hour when the limit was 80 mph. This place your guests at significant risk. Also I recommend that the guides take time to introduce themselves as well as finding out where the guest are from.
A great experience with Neza as our tour guide. It was all girls in an 8 sitter Van. We visited the Predjama Castle and Postojna Cave. These places are amazing and really recommend it. We ended our trip in Piran. One thing we didn't know that the weather could be so different in Piran. It is cold in Ljubljana but it was so summer weather in Piran. One regret we did not bring our swimming clothes. This was our last activity before leaving Slovenia. We are looking forward of more visits in near future
Postojna cave was fascinating and worth the trip. Our guide, David, was very high energy and was a fountain of information about Ljubljana and all the sights on this package. I would recommend.
This tour was fantastic! The caves are beautiful and the castle is very unique. The timing at each location was perfect. Views at Piran were gorgeous. Our tour guide was fabulous!
We enjoyed our day visiting Predjama Castle, Postojna Caves and Piran. Barbara our tour guide was very well informed and kept us updating with lots of information between the visits on the drive. The day was 11 hours long due to the thunderstorms in the first half followed by traffic on our return to Ljubljana from Piran due to road works. But it must be said that the day was well spent and Barbara made it all the more fun!
The day was well spent! Barbara our tour guide was very informative and kept updating us with lot of information on the sites visited and Slovenia history, economy etc. We found the 3 sites worth a visit and this I guess was the most deserving choice for a day trip. Once again a Big Thank You to Barbara for making it special. Regards Abhay
Such a great tour and so easy! The caves were so cool and the castle was neat. Piran is such a beautiful town. I felt like I had enough time to explore the town and see what I wanted to see. As others have said, you don't eat until around 2pm so bring a snack if you aren't a late eater. My guide, Barbara was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. It was so nice to just book and go and not worry about planning anything.
Guide and driver were excellent. Places we saw were breathtaking. Very glad we took this tour. Highly recommend the tour.
Postojna cave is a must see…bring a jacket because the cave is very cold, 10C. Predjama castle is ok, was not impressed with the interior. Our visit to Pirna was 3.5 hrs. A bit too long.
A fabulous day out! Our guide Natasha was the best! Full of information about the areas we visited and Slovenia in general. We learnt a lot and saw some spectacular sights with just the right amount of time at each stop. It does get cold in the caves despite the heatwave outside so definitely take another layer of clothing!
Absolutely brilliant excursion. Barbara our guide met us at a hotel as planned at 8am. Such a lovely person who kept us on time and really well informed throughout the day. We travelled to Predjama Castle first, ahead of the crowds, which was great to enjoy comfortably. We then drove to the Postojna Cave for 11am, although there was a big cue it cleared quickly as each train in the cave holds about 100 people , totally amazing experience. The train takes you into the cave for about 10-15mins then you do a walking tour for about an hour then the same return train journey to the exit. We then headed to beautiful Piran which was about 1 hour away where we had 3 hours of free time to explore, swim, eat and the option of joining Barbara on a walking tour for part of your time there if you so wished to do. This trip is well worth the price as entrance to the castle and caves is also included. We had a great day. Thank you Barbara.
We had an absolute blast on this tour! Visiting Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, and the charming coastal town of Piran was an unforgettable experience. A huge part of what made it so special was our incredible tour guide, Barbara. She is remarkably detail-oriented, genuinely helpful, and went above and beyond to cater to everyone's needs with a smile. We truly couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this tour package to anyone visiting! And if you are lucky enough to have Barbara as your guide, you are guaranteed an unforgettable journey!❤️
The best part of the tour for me was the cave - it was incredibly impressive! So many different formations; the most I have ever seen. Piran was nice and the views you get from the city walls is lovely even though it was roasting hot. Our guide was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to ensure that all the bus had a good time.
A good day out with about 45mins which was a little rushed as we had to hurry the last 10 audio hearings. The couple of hours at the caves were great and the 3 hours in Piran was plenty. I wish I did. My research and took swimmers to have a swim in the ocean. Our tour guide was good (unfortunately can’t remember his name) and answered all questions and did a little tour of Piran for about 30 mins.. If this is what you are looking at seeing in a day it is perfect.. It’s about a 11 hour day.. 8am-7pm
Great trip. Mario and Boyad took great care of us. All 3 stops were amazing.
We enjoyed the castle, caves and Piran very much. Our guide George was very knowledgeable and told us lots of facts whilst driving to our destinations. We had just the right amount of time at each place. The castle was interesting, the caves were amazing, the best we've ever seen and it was lovely to spend time in Piran - the Slovenia coastline. It's great to have your own personal mini bus (there were only 6 of us) and have the time to relax and enjoy the trip. I would highly recommend this trip whilst staying in Ljubljana.
Everything was perfect. Guide was amazing. He made it interesting and fun. Everything was on time, weather helped with sunny conditions. Plenty of spare leisure. I highly recommend this trip. 🙂 Eva
Barbara was an amazing guide! Thank you for a great day!
This was unfortunately not what we expected. It started with our tour guide arriving late because of mechanical issues with the bus. She was disorganized and the tour company mixed two groups together so people were confused about which cave tour we were at since there were two cave groups. Also, instead of being dropped off in Piran, our asked our group if we could walk to Piran together. What we didn’t realize was that this meant we would drive a mile away from old town so she could park the bus. If I had known that we would waste time parking, I would have chosen to be dropped off in town while the guide parked the bus (this is not something customers should spend valuable and money time doing). There was also no time carved into the schedule for lunch and we were starving. We ended up skipping the walking tour of Piran so we could find something to eat. It was a long day but we enjoyed Piran and the caves and castle despite the day and the guide.
Barbara was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic - it was clear that she is passionate about her job. She took time to get to know the group members and answer all of our questions. This was a wonderful experience
So glad I went on this tour --I've been to caves and castles in other countries and wasn't sure if It this would add to my experience and knowledge.-- and "yes" it did. Our tour guide, George, was great-- flexible, knowledgeable and pivoted when needed. A full, fun day, well spent!
Although the tour was 11 hours it didn't feel like a long day. Organisation was good, our pick up time was delayed as vehicle broke down and a replacement had to be sourced. I was kept informed throughout with messages and texts and it had no impact on the day. Our tour guide Mario was personable, informative and helpful. The caves were other worldly, fantastic tour as was the cave castle, very unique experience. Be warned there are a lot of steps inside the castle, some very steep if you want to go up high, they don't always mention this in the description of tour. Doing a tour like this means you have skip the line tickets and although we queued to get on the train in the caves it wasn't very long. A pretty minibus drive of 1.25 hours brought us to Piran. A charming seaside town where we swam, had a short guided tour and plenty of free time to eat and explore. Well worth seeing. Just be warned there are no public toilets here until next year (2027) we were told. All in all a grand day out with a great guide
The entire experience was amazing, but the true highlight was Lucas, our guide—top-notch humor, engaging stories, and unforgettable energy!
Great trip! Reccomend people should take some snacks and water/drink because there wasn’t much time to grab a bite between the Castle and the Caves.
Wonderful experience with tourguide Barbara. Well organized, very good English, open to all and any kind of questions. Very informative tour with a great mixture of nature (caves), history (castle) and relaxing free time at the sea. Loved everything about it!
The tour was amazing. It was far better than I had expected. I liked the size of the group with only 4 participants, which made everything easy and enjoyable. We arrived at the castle and the cave relatively early, so the place was not so busy and crowded. The time we spent on each place was just fine. The castle was extraordinary and mind blowing, the cave was marvelous and full of surprises, and the city Piran was culturally rich and heavenly beautiful! Here I would like to express my full heartedly appreciation and gratitude to our fantastic guide Gala. He is an amazingly knowledgeable person in history and culture, and he did a wonderful job in introducing us to the Slovenian history and culture. He is also very attentive and helpful. The entire trip turned out to be inspiring, enriching and utmost pleasant because of him. A truly unforgettable experience!
We expected a large bus but were pleasantly surprised to see an eight-seater van. Our guide Kolia, a young native, kind, polite, very knowledgeable taught us a lot about Slovenian history and nature all mixed w humor, making it memorable and fun! The Postojna Cave experience is fantastic and a sight to behold, the Predjama Castle, a unique medieval castle like none other. We then went to Piran, a very pretty beach town with gourmet food. Kolia gave us a walking guided tour with plenty of free time to experience Piean on our own. An amazing experience which my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!
5/5 experience! Kolja was our tour guide and he was so sweet and so so knowledgeable! Even for things not part of the tour! If you get him you'll have an Amazing time! The total group was 8 people and it was a great group too. And since we weren't renting a car we got to see these sights! The castle, the caves, and Piran was amazing. We had enough time for everything. For the caves I recommend bringing a sweater it is quite cold! And for Piran bring swimming stuff to enjoy the warm Adriatic sea! Which I unfortunately did not being

Great trip but a little rushed in Piran. The guide is very informative and it’s well worth the price
Mario the guide was great. But in general, very bad experience!! Cannot recommend. The AC from the car did not work (although the details specified an AC car would be provided), which on a summer at 34 degrees is simply not acceptable. The logistics in general were bad. The Agency combined people with different itineraries, so the waiting times were terrible. They picked us up at 8am and some of the tourists actually begun their attractions at 11am. Very bad experience in general.
These to me were some of the must places one should visit when in Slovenia and they were great, but I must say, the best of this tour was the guide. Vasco (his Portuguese name 😊) was amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable, great music selection, always willing to share more interesting facts about Slovenia (I will not forget the bees, the tractors, the bears, the churches 😁) and he definitely made this a memorable tour. You will be extremely lucky if he is your guide!!
Really good experience in all locations of the tour with ease of getting to each place and instructions to make things nice and simple, made especially better by our lovely guide Barbara! We received lots of great stories and conversation from Barbara which made it feel casual in the best way possible. Piran was a fun addition to the tour, but make sure to take your swimming costume otherwise you'll be jealous of seeing everyone in the town jumping in the beautiful water! Only thing that could potentially be improved is more time at the castle so it didn't feel as rushed to finish
We had a fantastic day visiting 3 sites in South western Slovenia. I won’t go in to too much detail about the sites but the day itself was really well planned and a really long day didn’t feel like one at all. Our guide Boščan (hope spelling is right!) was fantastic, he had a real passion for his country and gave us lots of great info along the way. Would highly recommend.
FYI the castle is all steep stairs and the caves are very cold - so plan accordingly! Bostjian was our guide and was wonderful! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny.
We had a fantastic day out, David our tour guide and driver was vibrant and full of energy. As we were early David made an unscheduled stop at the ruins of Haasberg Castle, just amazing. Predjama Castle was beautiful and the Postodja caves were incredible.Once we arrived in Piran we had some free time and later David took us on a guided tour of the old port providing all the information required. A great day and fully recommend
Beatif caves, long way to Piran, well meaning guide.
This tour was combined with another tour, and that caused ALOT of problems. There was barely enough time to do the cave tour and go to the bathroom. I didn't have enough time to listen to the audio tour at the Castle, and neither did other people, and no time to go to the bathroom. Then, once we got to Piran, still no bathroom break until after a 10 minute walk. The tour guide was having to guess times and drive back and forth between the 2 tours. People had to be dropped off and picked up in different locations. We had no idea this was going to happen until after we had boarded the bus that morning. Because the tour guide was on such a time crunch, he was a bit snippy often. The sites I saw were nice, but the organization by the tour company was really bad.
The whole experience was great. Piran is such a beautiful place. The tour guide was very interactive and knowledgeable. He really likes his job and that’s great for us tourists. For the caves, I would recommend packing sweatpants and some kind of sweater because it is chilly down there. We got some free time in Piran, so if you like to swim, you could bring your bathing suit. There’s a small beach over there to take a dip. The inside of the castle was super interesting. Very satisfied with the scheduling of tour because we were never in a big crowd during our activities.
We just had an amazing tour to Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, and Piran with our guide, Kolja, from To Do In Slovenia. It was truly a memorable experience exploring this beautiful region of Slovenia, from its spectacular caves and historic castle to the charm of the Slovenian coast. What made the trip even more special was Kolja himself. He was sharing fascinating insights into Slovenia’s history, geography, anthropology, sociology, and culture throughout the journey. His additional tips, recommendations, and advice were greatly appreciated and added tremendous value to our visit. Kolja is knowledgeable, engaging, fun, and an excellent guide and driver. We only wish we had more time to explore other parts of Slovenia with both him and To Do In Slovenia. Thank you for a wonderful experience that made our visit even more meaningful and enjoyable.
