A fantastic and very well-run walking tour from start to finish. Sabrina (our guide) was brilliant and so knowledgeable. She ran the tour at the right pace and gave time to take photos and ask questions. We learnt so much about Ljubljana - thank you

Discover Congress Square, one of Ljubljana's most important squares, imbued with historical significance and framed by notable buildings including the University of Ljubljana. This vibrant space not only hosts public events and gatherings but also serves as a gateway to the city's rich past, with landmarks dating back to the Roman era.
Admire the National University Library from the outside, a stunning architectural landmark in Ljubljana designed by the famous Jože Plečnik. This iconic building combines modern and classical design elements, making it a standout feature of Slovenian cultural heritage.
Stroll across Shoemaker's Bridge, a charming pedestrian bridge in Ljubljana that offers picturesque views of the Ljubljanica River and the cityscape. Once a hub for local cobblers, this bridge and its surroundings now serve as a serene spot for visitors to enjoy the lively atmosphere and scenic beauty of the riverbanks.
Admire Ljubljana's Town Hall, an exquisite example of Baroque architecture, located in the bustling Town Square. This historic building, adorned with a beautiful facade and richly decorated interiors, serves as the seat of the city's municipality and is a key landmark reflecting Ljubljana's cultural and political heritage.
Marvel at the exterior (outside) of Ljubljana Cathedral, known for its grand green dome and twin towers. Exclusively viewed from the outside, this baroque architectural gem epitomizes the city's religious heritage and artistic prowess, making it a standout landmark in the heart of Ljubljana.
Explore Ljubljana's vibrant Market Place, a bustling hub of activity nestled along the Ljubljanica River. This lively outdoor market features a colorful array of local produce, crafts, and culinary delights, offering a taste of Slovenian culture and a chance to mingle with locals in a picturesque setting.
Visit Dragon Bridge, an iconic symbol of Ljubljana, renowned for its striking dragon statues that guard its entrances. This architectural marvel, built in the early 20th century, spans the Ljubljanica River and is celebrated for its innovative use of reinforced concrete and the Art Nouveau style that captivates both locals and tourists alike.
Discover Butcher's Bridge in Ljubljana, a modern addition to the city's array of bridges, famous for its love locks and striking sculptures by artist Jakov Brdar. This footbridge offers a unique blend of contemporary art and romantic tradition, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy scenic views of the Ljubljanica River.

- There are many types of Free Walking Tours in different weekdays /weekends and in different times due year time, its meeting point in famous “Presernov” Square front the triple bridge and the tours duration about 2hrs. - In the beginning of October, I used 2 tours for: Old Town & The Castle both of them by the same man guide started 15:00 for a 2 hrs. approx., Of course as usual, they collect the Donations by hands I always prefer from the guide to carry the bag to collect instead.
Alan was rude about my hearing impairment. Made a joke. Deafness is not a joke. Some of his history was incorrect.
Good introduction of Ljubljana . DUSAN our guide was very knowledgeable of the history of his country and was ready to answer all of our questions in fact he encouraged us to Ask. He also recommend some local restaurants to Try
Wonderful time walking around the old town. Irina was great at sharing her knowledge about the history of the city. She has given so much insight about ljubljana and slovenia. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful tour. Sabina was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. It was a great overview of the city.
Enjoyable and informative tour around the old city, visiting numerous sights including the Dragon Bridge, outdoor market, St Nicholas cathedral, Preseren Square and the triple bridges with our local guide. We had a small group which was ideal as we were able to ask lots of questions and had time to stop and take photos. Our guide was very knowledgeable and clearly loves where she lives.
Lea, the guide was very good. But this tour takes people from Ljubljana, as well as tourists who come for the day from Zagreb. If the latter is late (by45 mins in this case) it holds up the entire tour. Lea is not to blame, she tried her best!
Had a great tour with our guide Sabina. Learnt lots of interesting facts.
Excellent introduction to the history, architecture and culture of Ljubljana and Slovenia. Our guide Sabrina has contagious positivity and clearly loves her country!
Nice overall experience. Good information sharing. Experienced your guide. Yes, I would recommend to fellow travelers.
David was very knowledgeable, humorous, perfect English, good loud voice! And we covered a lot! Highly recommend.
David treated us to an informative, knowledgable and interesting walking guided tour of Ljubljana. Loved his tell it as it is approach, which meant it was very engaging. Fabulous tour and guide. Thank you
Our guide was excellent, shared so much background history as we went on our walk. We stopped fairly often to listen to the history, insights into the culture, famous Slovenians, influences on the development of the country. If you like these kinds of information, then this tour is for you. If you're looking for a tour that's mostly walking around, you may feel that you're not moving as much as you anticipated. It's really what you're looking for. My group enjoyed all the information and when we explored the city ourselves after the tour, we could remember what we learned. It gave us a deeper appreciation of the city.
Nice tour of the city with a friendly guide. Probably a bit too dry for me to start with (prefer a bit of humour to get the group going) but overall it was decent enough
Absolutely loved our tour with Maja! She was so wonderful and knowledgeable and very nice. Especially on a day where it was quite warm. She really loves her city, and her love of her city and Slovenia in general is infectious and made me appreciate the city and the country even more. Full of insightful tips and stories while keeping the tour moving and interesting.
It was an interesting tour . The guide was knowledgeable and well informed . The pace was very comfortable . Enjoyed the tour . Over all very satisfying .
Interesting tour. Odd that visit to castle not included
Our tour guide, David, did a wonderful job. He gave us an insight into the city and the country in a very amusing and entertaining way. I could have happily listened to him for another two hours.
We had a lovely tour of Ljubljana. Experienced a taste of the local history and some good reference material that helped the history come alive. We had a large group and our guide did a great job of keeping us together and on time. Very highly recommended!
Very informative and fun tour. Interesting to hear about the guide’s personal experience growing up in the area before and after Slovenia’s independence. Tour was well paced, and just the right amount of time. Highly recommend.
Learned a lot about the Ljubljana and Slovenian history. Tour guide was very classy and articulate. Loved that Slovenia had so many influences from other nations.
We booked our trip with Viator who charges us £57 pounds for four of us. However, when we arrived for our tour we were told the the tour was free. The tour was great but I am really annoyed with Viator who charged us for a free tour of the city. I would recommenr that no one should book this tour with Viator when you can get it for free. I will never use Viator again.
Our guide was excellent! She gave us lots of information, not only about the places we were going to visit, but also about Ljubljana and Slovenia. She was very friendly and approachable. I would highly recommend taking a tour with her!
Knowledgeable guide, didn't skimp timewise
I learned so much about Ljubljana from Simona who clearly knew a great deal this wonderful city. From architecture, religion, and politics to geography and European influences. It was all covered.
Nice way to see the old town highlights. Michael was a wonderful guide.
Very easy walk around the city, good mix of facts and sights. Guide was considerate of large group making sure was heard.
Very well informed and very good introduction to the city. Good pace and just the right amount of detail.
Its a nice way to see the city and a majority of its landmarks and attractions. And learn some of its history Being a public holiday most of the city is quiet and shut. Our guide was nice and friendly and kept a good pace and she was professional, but we found her explanations a little confusing and hard to follow.
Great walking tour that gives you lots of information about Ljubljana and its history. We got to see lots of cool monuments and were surpised with free samples of local goods more than once on the tour! Our guide, Simona was super nice and really friendly! We all had a laugh and enjoyed her recommendations, fun facts and trivia! Would 100% recommend!
Excellent tour. Very know and charming guide.
Luka was highly knowledgeable and very friendly. We really appreciated getting a great historical perspective bringing us right up to date with the context that Slovenia is in.
Tibor was entusiastic, very well educated about Ljubljana and Slovenia, much of funfacts as well. Smiling and funny. THe was all you want a tourguide to be.
Wonderful tour! David was very professional with an immense local insider knowledge and some good dark humour.😉😉 we learned a lot, and we could ask all questions. Highly recommended.
What a wonderful tour wandering the fantastic streets of Ljubljana, it’s amazing how much information was packed into 2.5 hours. We were part of a small group of 8 which was great. Miha our guide was brilliant, we learned all about the history of this fabulous city as well as how his grandmother came to have 5 passports over the course of her lifetime. We had already been in Ljubljana for 3 days and only wish we had taken the walking tour sooner, we thought we had thoroughly explored, how wrong we were, Miha took us down some fabulous streets and pointed out some really interesting buildings and sculptures. The oldest part of the city with its tiny streets are beautiful. The time flew by and Miha was a delightful host, sharing his knowledge with us so effortlessly. An absolute must when in Ljubljana
Tibor was a fantastic guide. He taught us lots of Slovenian history and showed us all the sights of this beautiful city, doing it all with a great sense of humour which made the tour a great experience. Highly recommended.
Amazing! Highly recommend. The tour was so informative and our guide Tibor was wonderful. He told great stories and was not just entertaining but knowledgeable. Could have listened to him all day. Good pace and not strenuous walking. Plus Ljubljana is magnificent.
An excellent tour of key areas in downtown and old town Ljubljana. Tibor was a charming host, who knows his Slovenian food, history and culture and shares that passion with authenticity and good humour. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Miha, was fantastic. He knew lots of history and was patient with all of our questions. It was a great way to get to know more about Ljubljana and Slovenia. I definitely recommend this tour.
Tibor led the most amazing city tour that I have experienced. I have travelled to 77 countries. Hundreds of 1-3 hour city tours. Tibor was the best. We learned about squirrels, orange wine, Napoleon was a good guy 1809-1813, the emotion skulls artwork, singing prisoners in the castle, blueberry schnapps, the pain of Roman history constraining development, and more. Most importantly, it appears that Slovenia and Slovakia count as two different countries. So I can now go to Slovakia as my 78th country. I’m enjoying the moment when Tibors boss reads this. Buy Tibor a beer. Two beers. He is a national treasure like the famous bee man. WhatsApp me 202-297-2393 for more superlatives. I am Terran. So is Tibor.
David, our tour guide gave us a fantastic and informative tour. He was very knowledgeable & passionate about Ljubljana with a perfect combination of entertaining and being informative. I’d highly recommend this!
Great walking tour. The guide Irena was informative and entertaining about the history, architecture, food and culture of Slovenia and Ljubljana. Small group size and the tour ran the full 2.5 hours. Would definitely recommend.
Tibor was an excellent host. Great pace, lively commentary, superb knowledge and insights. Most enjoyable for all the family - including the teenagers!! A highlight. Recommended.
This was a fantastic and informative tour. Helena, our tour guide, was great at sharing her knowledge about the history and architecture of Ljubljana. Thanks
We had a great time in the tour, TIBOR was very funny and told us a lot of interesting information about Slovenia and the city! We enjoyed very much!
This one of the better walking Tours that I have attended the guide was informative and entertaining. We covered a lot of ground during the tour and if you look at the photo of the bronze city map, we covered almost all of that with the exception of the castle. What I like most about the tour was the balance of stopping and talking versus covering ground and seeing the city. Somany times these walking tours turn to be more talking Tours that was not the case here.
Great tour! Very interesting and informative. The local guide Luka was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about Ljubljana and the perfect combination of entertaining and informative. I’d highly recommend this!
Our guide was excellent - there were 9 of us on the tour. It was well paced and despite the heat we were able to stop in shady spots to hear about the sites. It was a perfect way to get to know the city.
Great to learn more about the history of Slovenia and see a beautiful city. Nice leisurely place and found plenty of shady spots on a hot day.
