Lake Bled is beautiful and the clean air is worth the trip alone. The castle is a nice stop off and the Bled cream cake was delicious. Barbara has a good knowledge of the country's history and is very amenable.
Lake Bled is beautiful. It was raining when I went but it just added to its charm. The Bled cake from the Castle was delicious. Definitely one of the best desserts, I’ve tried. Our guide Tilen was funny, he had the group laughing. He was very informative and learned a lot about Ljubljana.
It was a lovely day, the guide was informative, they gave us plenty of time to explore or sit and have a bite. The boat ride to the lake was fun, the island is super small. Later, we went to the castle and ate bled cake. Overall, a very nice day.
Great morning tour with a very knowledgeable and engaging guide! Plenty of time to see the sights and have a nice walk by the lake.
Had a great tour at Lake Bled. Luke was a great guide, very informative. Lake Bled was beautiful. Would definitely recommend the tour
Our guide ("George") was excellent. He was very personable, pleasant and had an excellent knowledge of the area of the tour and Slovenia itself and its history. We thoroughly enjoyed the castle (and traditional cake served in the café). The scenery was stunning especially as the day was so sunny. Being rowed to the island in a traditional boat also made our trip memorable.
The trip to Lake Bled from Ljubljana went very smoothly. David, our guide, was excellent. Very knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. It is an advantage to go on a trip there as early as possible, as Bled quite rightly is a very popular destination. The lake is beautiful, and rates in my book my up there with Lake Louise in Canada
Nejc was great. Prompt pick up and a really informative drive to and from Lake Bled, with a history lesson there and back.
Very enjoyable . David our guide was very knowledgeable. Enjoyed the whole experience. Lake Bled is a beautiful place.
This half day trip was well worth it. Lake Bled is a fairy tale setting. The boat ride is fun, although it felt a bit quick. The scenery both coming, going, and around the lake is stunning. We had a nice group of 7 in our van. The guide was very informative about Slovenia and the history of the area. Everyone take the tour at least once!
What a beautiful town Bled is. The tour guide Veronica was terrific. The views were stunning.
This tour was very informative and the scenery was beautiful. Our tour guide, Vassko (not sure of the spelling) was perfect and just what we needed as new comers to this amazingl country
The guide Alexander was very good and I learnt a lot from him. Lake Bled was beautiful and I enjoyed visiting the castle and the island. I was not expecting so many tourists and that reduced enjoyment of the experience a bit but clearly out with the control of the tour organisers.
Very good very nice! Awesome guide, a lot of great and historic information during the trip, smooth ride and above all we had a good laugh. Thanks Kleenex 😉🫶🏼
The guide, Neža was fantastic. Knowledgeable, flexible, directive, and made the experience great. There was someone in training (sorry I forgot his name!) who was also fantastic, taking us out to the island on Lake Bled. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. The pick up was a bit hectic with many other groups meeting at the pick up spot, but other than that it was fantastic.
Pick-up at pick-up locatuon was smooth and timely. The ride to Lake Bled was enjoyable. I did not take the castle tour, it was arranged that I could be dropped off at the main bus station in Bled to walk around on my own, until the castle tour ended. Highlight of the trip the pletna ride on the lake. The weather was slightly overcast and offered a slight breeze, making the crossing outstanding. If you decide to walk around the perimeter of the island, please note some parts of the trail do not have guard rails. One slip of a missplaced foot and you find yourself in the water. Also note, Lake Bled is a major atteaction for both foreign visitors and Slovenians alike. In the summertie, the traffic in and out is bumper to bumper
It was very convenient that the meeting point was right across from my hotel. The tour started on time; there were seven of us in an eight-seater vehicle. We arrived in Bled in an air-conditioned vehicle while our guide, Klemen, provided commentary. Admission to the castle and the "cream cake" were included in the package. During the free time allotted to us, we explored the castle, enjoyed the view, and ate our cake. Afterward, we set off for the island. Tito's former summer residence is now a restaurant; we visited it, headed down, and crossed to the island in boats known as *pletna*. We happened to run into a wedding there—a lovely experience, though waiting for the proceedings cut into our available time. Consequently, there wasn't enough time to buy the additional ticket required to visit the church and other sites. Upon returning to the mainland, there were only 45 minutes left, so I simply waited for the return trip while having a quick bite. It was a nice tour, though they could have extended the duration by another hour or two.
This was a last minute booking tour, but my guide recieved right away. Im sure my guide' name was Lukka. I was only one of the few who was a solo traveler, and felt insecure around all the couples and families. Luka did a good job of making sure everyone felt significant. I enjoyed the the country view of Slovenia. It is no longer a best kept secret a once quiet nation has to put up with the United Nation.
Very pleasant trip. You can do as much or as little as you want! Host and driver were faultless and we had a fantastic time
All the arrangements worked well, the driver / guide was professional whilst been friendly and jolly
We had a very enjoyable day, marius was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Recommended. ..
The tour was very good Our driver was v chatty but very knowledgeable and interesting At lake bled we went to the island - 45 minutes on it when really needed 20 Then drive round lake- which was awesome Then went to Bled castle - very impressive views but again didn’t really need 50 minutes there Well worth the visit but note the fees for the island (19euro) and castle (20 euro) not included in tour price- which was stated. Also need cash to pay for these tickets
Ok tour, however price is a bit high given the fact that nothing is included so you're paying only for a shuttle. Its nearly 60 EUR to do all the interesting aspects of the tour, fee to get into castle, fee for boat to island, fee to get into church on the island, non of which are included in tour price. Would only recommend if there is no cheaper option to visit Lake Bled and Castle Bled.
Informative, friendly and enjoyable time. I would recommend bringing some cash with you for the entry into the different locations 18€ and 20€ will cover a individual for the castle & island.
A wonderful experience led by such a knowledgable tour leader. He was not only knowledgable on all things we needed to know, but also a down to earth and fun guy. The trip was great, the pics dont lie, it really is that stunning. Oh, and try the cake at the end, yum.
Our tour guide Gor was very knowledgeable and shares a great amount of information on our location. We had a pleasant and safe trip to lake Bled. We opted to skip the castle. But took the boat ride to Bled island. It was a beautiful day to be on the water. The instructions were clear on pick up and drop off.
It was well organised with a great driver and a very talented, charming and knowledgeable tourguide called Daya
It was a short trip and maybe a little pricey for what’s included but it was what we were looking for. Guide was great.
This trip was well done if you’re on a short timeframe - it helped us make efficient use of a half-day’s time. Klemen was a very good, informative and knowledgeable guide. The only downside with the trip itself is for someone sitting in the back of the van with the typical rattles and squeaks of the back of a vehicle, it’s hard to hear everything he says. Apart from the tour itself I had to take several hours of my vacation time the day before to accommodate the company’s last minute request to switch our trip from morning to afternoon - and then switch back when they changed their minds. This is so counterproductive when the reason you’re using a tour company is for the most efficient use of your limited vacation time.
It's weather dependent and we were blessed with great weather. Great for walking, so be prepared with good shoes and a hat.
Our group had the most incredible experience in this stunning part of the world, even if at times it was pouring with rain. Luka, our guide was in a word … perfect. In one 40 minute van ride (which was cramped) he had a group of strangers laughing together like old friends. His knowledge was impressive but not overwhelming. Luka’s guide was the perfect blend of humour, sarcasm and knowledge. Thank you.
The tour was very enjoyable, Luca was lots of fun and very passionate about his country and obviously loves his job. Would recommend the tour to everyone.
I was going to be the only one on this tour, so I got a call from the organisers the day before to offer me a free upgrade to include Triglav National Park (and Lake Bohinj) in the morning followed by Lake Bled. The day was amazing. Irina (our tour guide) was incredibly knowledgeable, warm and funny. The day was really well organised and well paced, offering us clearly signposted options. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope this review gets passed on to Irina who made the day so wonderful. Thank you for a great tour.
From booking and pick up to the tour itself and friendly driver/guide, we’d recommend this trip and company. We’d never used them before but would 100% book again.
Firstly, the Driver was super informative. The ride to Bled was smooth as well. Bled town is so beautiful and so picturesque. The views were great as well. We went up to Bled Castle, we also took a boat tour to Bled Island and it was amazing.
Lovely, friendly guide. Picked up on time in small air-conditioned minibus. Took less than an hour to get to the castle, beautiful views and had bled cake (castle entry was extra). We opted not to do the pletna boats to the island and did the walk around Lake Bled which took around 2 hours at a steady pace. (There are cafes and toilets enough route if needed).
It was a wonderful time visiting Bled. From the castle to the lake and the church on the island in the middle. Dana was a lovely guide who explained the history and the landscape all throughout the trip. Would definitely recommend the toboggan if you have some time by the lake!
Very nice experience! The views are stunning (as everywhere in Slovenia), our guide Rokko was doing his job in the best way possible, the only minus is that the tickets to main attraction are a bit overpriced from my point of view. But generally - great impression!
The English speaking guide was friendly and answered our questions. She also gave tips on restaurants and gave an overview of Slovenian history along the trip.
The tour was well organized, convenient transportation, very friendly and well-spoken guide. I recommend To Do In Slovenia
Lake Bled is very picturesque. Amazing views from the castle. Included with the castle visit are: an old printing press, a Chapel, a museum and a free Slovenian cream cake.
A very beautiful lake with gorgeous scenery. We paid extra to do the castle which was pretty and had good views and also the boats which are hand rowed across the lake to the island. Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable excursion and the tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
Great operator, fantastic guide who was very informative and entertaining and beautiful scenery. A must.
Great service provided by the company and with a very entertaining and well informed guide. It is extremely picturesque and a fantastic half day tour
A beautiful place to visit. Well organised excursion and as long as it should. The very polite lady driver provided a lot of interesting info about Slovenia's past and useful tips for travelers.
Lake Bled is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The tour itself left on time and brought us to the little village where you can pay to board a little boat to go to the island (you have to pay extra to go inside of the church on the island, 12euro). The boat fee was 20euro cash only not included in the tour fee. We decided to take a walk around the lake instead and really enjoyed the views of the church and castle while others on our tour went to the island. We then went to the castle, 18euro per person not included in the tour, and had a little over an hour to walk around. The views are wonderful and when you buy the castle ticket from the tour guide you get a slice of cream cake included - the dessert is very delicious. I wish the castle was included in the tour ticket price because if you don't pay to go to the island or pay to go into the castle, you are paying a lot of money just to go out to Lake Bled. You could easily get a public bus for less than 10euro roundtrip to Lake Bled and walk around at your own pace. This tour is probably better in summer months when the area is more crowded and you want to have transportation scheduled.
An amazing trip to the spectacular Lake Bled. Matt was the perfect host - on time, friendly, informative, funny and always very helpful. We highly recommend this delightful excursion.
Great trip. Lake Bled was absolutely beautiful. Our guide Micha (hope I’ve spelt that right) was very knowledgable and friendly, and extremely helpful at the parts of the tour where an extra charge was needed. He stepped right in to handle it for us and nab us a freebie of a delicious cream cake at the castle. Very happy and we would recommend this trip to anyone thinking of visiting the lake. It’s well worth your time to see.
Even though it was a rainy foggy day, we were able to make this a memorable experience, and our guides were able to accommodate due to the weather and help us enjoy the experience as much as possible, showing us the lake from many different points along the road, and providing lots of useful and fun information about the area and Slovenia in general. Tibor Baijee was our guide, he and his partner were very eager to share as much as possible about the culture and history of Slovenia, in a fun (not boring) way. They also provided us with great information on food and restaurants that we could use after the tour was over.
