From Ljubljana To Lake Bled - Slovenia Tourist Taxi

Andre (our driver) was fantastic! We visited Lake Bled including the castle, pletna boat to island, summer toboggan ride, great viewpoints, swimming in the lake, and saw Belleview (spelling?…Tito’s old villa). We also wanted to see some of the Julien Alps. Andre recommended Vintgar Gorge, which was stunning. We could have gone to see Mt Triglav too, but we were tired after all the awesome things we did and saw. Andre knew exactly where to go, the best spots, and he also told us lots of interesting stories and info about the history of Slovenia. Best day on my whole 2 week trip to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Montenegro! The next day Andre took us to Postojna Caves, Predjama Castle, and Trieste! We appreciated the flexible customization on both days. Slovenia Tourist Taxi is fantastic and made these 2 wonderful days possible for me and my 2 adult kids! Highly recommend!

The tourist taxi was great. Andrej, our driver was very friendly, knowledgeable about the sites, and communicated well with us. He was flexible and tried to accommodate all our wishes. The only complaint is the van we had was not comfortable for 6 adults. Otherwise, I highly recommend Tourist Taxi to take you to your destination.

This was a great trip. My husband and I were picked up at our hotel and driven to Lake Bled. It was a beautiful drive and our tour guide provided lots of interesting information about Slovenia and the area as we went along. He also was super helpful about how to best organize our time to maximize what we were able to see and do. In fact, we were a little early on our return and he suggested a short stop at a beautiful some village on the way back to Ljubljana which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was a beautiful trip altogether which we really enjoyed and recommend. Thank you very much!

We contacted Andrej based on the reviews we read online....we made arrangements with him before leaving the US and he was very accommodating and helpful. We had an idea of what we wanted to do and worked with us and made some suggestions for our itinerary....which really made our Christmas visit very memorable. He reminded us that he was not a tour guide, but I have to say that he is very knowledgeable and informative and he made the trip there very enjoyable. He picked us up at our hotel in Ljubljana and we drove to Bled first and stopped at some other lovely small towns to visit their Christmas markets on the way home. It was onne of our favorite days in Slovenia. His vehicle was extremely comfortable and clean for the 3 of us and Andrej was an excellent driver. In addition to our trip to Lake Bled, we hired him to drive us to Trieste for a short afternoon visit before we boarded the train from there to Venice to finish our vacation. Again, he was very accommodating and waited for us at the train station until we made sure we were in the right place. We felt lucky to have found Andrej...and have such great memories of our wonderful trip.

Andrej and his Slovenia Tourist Taxi service took great care of us. We needed to get from the cruise ship doc to Motovun, a wonderful historic about 50km away, high in the mountains. Andrej was one time, highly communicative, and speaks perfect English - his knowledge of the surrounding areas was helpful and enjoyable. His immaculate, comfortable vehicle carried four of us with ease, and he proved a competent, safe driver. Should I ever need to do this again, I would come back to Andrej in a heartbeat - highly recommended.

We did 2 tours and 2 airport pickups with Andrej. First tour was to Lake Bled and the other one to Postojna and Predjama with a drive to and drop-off in Venice, Italy. He drives safe and is very helpful. Appreciated his explanations about Slovene culture and life. Highly recommended!

We booked a full day with Andrej for my family's first trip to Slovenia. We had some unique requests as my whole family are avid birdwatchers and we wanted to experience this while not walking too much due to health issues. Andrej planned an excellent trip for us and we had a lovely time visiting Bled, Bohinj, Zbilje and Kranj. We also had very interesting conversations and he had nifty bits of trivia all along the road that we also enjoyed.

A good overview of the Bled Castle and Lake Bled area. Visit to the lake island is essential. Recommend more time for a comprehensive visit.

This was a great day trip - Andrej suggested an itinerary but was really responsive to any changes we requested or stops we wanted to make. We saw amazing mountains and lakes, with plenty of opportunities to stroll, stop for breaks and take lots of photos. Strongly recommend.

We hired Andrej for the day to take us to Trieste, Piran and the Skocjan caves. We were fairly vague with our request so Andrej made some suggestions and off we went. Lots of traffic so Andrej did wonders to make sure we didn’t miss our slot at the caves. The caves were incredible, like something from Lord of the Rings. Andrej was informative, prompt and on time all the time. He left it down to us to WhatsApp him and come get us at 10 mins notice once we’d eaten or finished shopping. We ran over our 10 Hour slot but he was happy to extend at a price. Nothing was too much. Recommend for a private tour with kids as you can work at your pace and not walk too far! Thanks Andrej

A great way for a small group to have a private taxi to Lake Bled benefiting from the knowledge of the driver but then having the opportunity to choose timings & stops. Lake Bled is a beautiful place to spend a few hours.

I contacted Slovenia Tourist Taxi via email and told them what my requirements were due to my limited time in Ljubljana. They arranged everything as requested and even suggested added stops if we had extra time. Andrej was our driver/guide and he made the tour informative and interesting. He stopped at sights along the way to show us more of his country and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

My wife and I had an awesome day with Darja. We first stopped at Lake Bled. Then we went on to Triglav National Park. We hiked to the waterfall and then took the gondola to the top of the mountain. Such beautiful scenery! We stopped for lunch at a restaurant with typical Slovenian food, which was delicious and filling. Then we returned to Lake Bled and went up to the castle. We shared a piece of Bled Cream Cake while looking out at the lake. Finally, we took a walk with Darja along the lakefront. Darja could not have been a better guide. Her English is excellent and she is a great conversationalist, as well as a very seasoned traveller. She was a safe driver and her car was comfortable. She let us decide how long we wanted to spend at each stop and was very flexible. We would highly recommend this private day trip!

Andrej was a great driver/guide. We started at Ljubljana and went first to Lake Bled. Then we rode up the mountains making several stops including for lunch. After seeing the Russian Chapel near Kranjska Gora Andrej took us to the beautiful Lake di Fusine in Italy. Such amazing views and stopped for an afternoon beverage. Slovenia Tourist Taxi was great in communicating with us before our trip and the day or two before also. We would definitely recommend them and are so glad we spent the day with them!

Andrej was our Guide and Driver for the day and he was superb! A very safe driver, he is ever so ready to share with us the history of Slovenia and his recommendation on the places to visit were simply fantastic. Lake Bohinj was a gem, the Savica Water Fall was a really nice hike up to get closer to nature and we had fun at Lake Bled along with the delicious Bled cream cake. The breathtaking view from atop Bled Castle must never be missed. And because we signed up with Andrej, we able to enjoy all these in our own time. We would definitely recommend this!

Time was an incredible guide for our trip around Slovenja. She was patient, a courteous and safe driver and helped us explore the countryside which we’ll all remember for years to come. Tina was a great tour guide with plenty to offer on the history of Slovenia. Pick up time was perfect and communication was excellent to arrange meeting point etc. Would definitely recommend Tina for any tours around Slovenia. Extremely flexible and accommodating to our needs.

After reading reviews I reached out to schedule a day’s drive, and confirmed on AUGUST 7 with Tina via email a booking for September 28. I requested some sort of specific confirmation but Tina said they don’t do that but “we will reach out to you the week before to set all details.” I received no “reach out”, arrived in Ljubljana on September 26 as I stated in August only to be told they couldn’t meet their commitment. They kept asking “how long will you be in Ljubljana -we could possibly do something first week in October?” Again I referred yo previous communication with them that we are only here a few days. Totally unacceptable as now we have to research options on our free day in Ljubljana. Extremely disappointed.

Travelling with Andrej was like going on a day trip with a friend. He’s very keen for his clients to see and experience the best Slovenia has to offer. We had put a programme together but he’d be happy to propose something if you don’t want to do the legwork. Andrej was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp and was flexible around what we wanted to do during the day. It’s worth mentioning if you have a lot of luggage with you as he’ll bring a larger car.

Lake Bled is a lovely area, and the pletna boat ride to the island is a must. This was a great day trip to explore more of Slovenia outside of Ljubljana. Highly recommended!

This is a great way to see Slovenia. Andrej is friendly and knowledgeable and took all the hassle out of visiting the sights. Visited not only Lake Bled, which is well worth the trip alone, but lesser known and equally beautiful locations - Lake Bohin and Savisa Waterfall. I can thoroughly recommend this as an excellent day out.

We booked a day trip from Ljubljana to Lake Bled in December. We had an excellent time, and I highly recommend both this trip, and Tina and her team. I wish we had a few more days in Slovenia to get to some of the wineries around the country, and Tina and team can drive there as well. We even used them to get to the airport super early in the morning, and they accommodated, were right on time to pick us up, and got us to the airport for less than the price we paid for a taxi from the airport.

My party of 4 have recently spent 6 nights in Ljubljana and decided to book this firm for a day trip. I contacted them vla email and Tina's reply was quick and informative. We decided to book a 10 hour tour on the Monday to include Lake Bohinj and a trip up the funicular at Vogel. Tina also suggested a few other stops which were great. The whole trip was fantastic and Tina was very accomodating and an excellent guide. We enjoyed the day so much that we booked another 10 hour tour on the Wednesday to include the Posyoyna caves and the Slovenian coast. This time our guide was Andrej who was also excellent and just as accomodating. Once again we had a wonderful day and Andrej went out off his way to ensure that we saw all the sights that we wanted to. This tour operator is relatively new but offer a wonderful bespoke service and I would most certainly recommend them for any tour from Ljubljana. .

We (2 couples) decided to hire Andrej for our day trip to Vintgar Gorge and Lake Bled. We had a spectacular day and were delighted with Andej’s careful driving. Conversation flowed freely and he suggested lovely stops for coffee and traditional cake. Their service was so good and the flexibility offered was much appreciated. We decided to take another day trip with Andrej to the Postojna Caves and nearby Predjama castle then on to Trieste. Again the local knowledge and suggested side trips and delightful coffee stops made our day a delight. We would use Slovenia Tourist Taxis again without hesitation. There were six of us travelling as couples in Slovenia and we booked a driver for the first time – a decision that was more than worth it! Our driver accompanied us safely and comfortably to Bled, Koper and Piran, was extremely friendly, attentive and always on hand when we wanted to continue. We especially appreciated his insider tip for a fantastic restaurant at Trbovlje Jezero – a real highlight to end the trip. The personal support was top: No parking search, no waiting times and we were always dropped off as close to the sights as possible. A huge time gain and just super relaxed. We can highly recommend this service and will definitely use it again on the next group trip.
