Experience An Authentic Slovenian Dinner & Folk Show

The dancers were so engaging. The food was fantastic. What a special way to see different aspects of a country.

Would definitely recommend good food, wine, and dancing. Interactive which made it much more fun! Loved the dancing and games!

The host was super positive, friendly and entertaining. Dances were fun to watch. Had interactive activities which many enjoyed. The food was disappointing though. A salad of plain iceberg lettuce and unseasoned pork. The potatoes, carrots and chicken were fine. Cooked pear for dessert was good. Appetizer was good. Plenty of food. One shot and a glass of wine was included. The entertainment was interesting and fun to watch. Even though the food fell flat it was fun.

Food was good, the entertainment was just that, entertaining. A good evening where you could participate if you wanted to.

What a wonderful evening! The music, dancing and food were fantastic! We were greeted by accordion music and our hostess, Dragana, was gracious and welcoming. The dancers performed traditional Slovenian dances and came from different regions. The audience were encouraged to join in a couple of dances and it was a lot of fun! Great time - I'm glad were had the opportunity to experience it!

I enjoyed the Slovenian Evening at a local restaurant. The food and entertainment wee good. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by an accordionist. They offered a welcome drink and I posed with the performers. My main course was two kinds of chicken. One piece was served fried in breadcrumbs, like a schnitzel. The other was grilled. There was a group of 34 Canadian teenagers plus 10 individuals at the Slovenian evening. We not only watched the dancers, we joined them. It was fun to do the Hat dance. You form a circle, place your left hand on your neighbor's back, and your right hand on your other neighbor's hat. You have to move the hat onto your head in time to the music. We also danced a Slovenian Conga! It was an enjoyable evening and a lot of fun!

Food was great but if you are a big eater you might leave hungry. But that is the only negative. Show was great, owner explained traditional dress of the dancer and venue was clean.

Catered well to vegetarian meal requirements. Fun and interactive. Shout out to Martin our brilliant host!

Throughly entertaining evening. Much better than just grabbing another reservation at a random restaurant. And most surprisingly, the meal was one of the best we ate on this entire trip. You assume you’re kind of there for a show and the food is an afterthought…far from it. Delicious pork in multiple forms. Be prepared to dance.

This was a nice evening show - kind of on the cutesy touristy side, but the dancers were enthusiastic and having a good time. Sometimes you need to throw in these types of attractions just to remember to have some silly fun in your trips, too. We had a fun night!

If you are visiting Ljubljana this is the perfect opportunity to have a good meal and fun with the family. We enjoy it so much !!

Meal was underwhelming. The show was entertaining but not fabulous. Similar to high school play. People serving not friendly. Main host very friendly. Overpriced for sure

This was really a very delightful evening. The food, though not excellent, was definitely very good. But the highlight was the music and dancing. I think every guest there had a great time. I would definitely recommend!

The best cultural culinary experience in Slovenia! If you have an evening in Ljubljana go for it. Great food and excellent evening with great guide and entertainment.

We were a group of 4 people, two in their 30’s and two in our 60s, and we had all had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and authentic, and the entertainment was lively and interactive. Highly recommend!

Definitely a tourist experience but we had a fun evening. For us it was the last night of a 2 weeks in trip in the Balkans - we had no expectations of fine dining and just enjoyed the evening entertainment.

It’s ok. The place is basically a nice pizzeria. However, the food was decent. The show was also ok. Basically young people in costumes dancing. The games were cute and fun. My issue isn’t so much the experience….it was a nice time with no WOW factor. My main concern was the address information provided by Viator. Down right wrong and confusing. The meeting place is stated at a certain restaurant with an address. There’s an option to connect to your phone’s map app directly from the Viator app. That provides a completely different address, which I followed without noticing it was different. There’s absolutely nothing at the location and address that the map app takes you. After walking in circles for 20 minutes in the rain. Another restaurant suggested a possible location for the place. It turned out to be the correct location. Completely different restaurant….at a yet third address. That actual address and different restaurant does appear in the reservation. However, only if follow the steps in seeking support through the app. It was very well hidden. The reservation stated I would be contacted if there were changes to the location. Was never notified. We managed to make it to the show about a minute or two late and didn’t miss anything. However, was soaken wet from walking in the rain and stressed out big time trying to make the show on time. Set the tone for the rest of the experience. Might have enjoyed it more if directions were correct and clear.

A fun and well hosted evening. The whole evening was a lot of fun and the meal was excellent quality. Would highly recommend.

Entertaining. Dancers were very good. Food was ok. No background was provided on food or the mediocre wine. Was fun to be engaged in the dances and the “hat” game.

A very pleasant evening with a simple meal and single glass of wine. A company of dancers provided both the entertainment and a cultural talk about the regions of Slovenia.

I had the best time doing this activity! Met so many lovely people to say I was travelling alone. The Slovenian dancers were knowledgeable and told us the history of the costumes. They made sure everyone got up dancing and we playing traditional Slovenian games too. The food was delicious and it was a great atmosphere. I would definitely do this again if i were to come back to Ljubljana!!

We had a great night with a good meal, drinks and great entertainers including dancing & music. The traditional dress looked great and was explained for 3 regions. I got drawn into the games & dancing & had fun. Thanks to all involved.

I have only rated this as 3 because it did not suit me as a solo traveller. The food was very nice and the entertainment good fun. For a couple or group I think this would be a really great night and good value for money.

Wonderful evening. A little strange at start being a solo traveler and everyone else part of a tour group, but felt included and had a great time. The dance troupe was wonderful and the host outstanding. Everyone very friendly and entertaining. The food was great! Highly recommend.

The dinner was delicious and full of fun! My dad really enjoyed the night, making it one of his favorite parts of our entire trip! The host is extremely friendly and very informative about the Slovenian culture. I would 100% recommend everyone to do this dinner and show before leaving Slovenia! It’s a must!!

Great dinner and show! We had a really great time enjoying the dinner that was several courses. After each course was served, there was some dancing! The dancers were very good. It was wonderful to see their clothing too. Get there early to pick your seat! First come first serve!

A must when you visit Ljubljana traditional food, folk dancing and engaging. We all got up to try the Slovenian folk dancing. And a bit of history. The host was excellent! Highly recommend it!

I highly recommend this dinner show! The staff is very friendly, prompltly responded to wattsapp messages, and was very accomodating to even last minute reservation changes. I greatly appreciated the different diet options, enjoyed all the food, and the entertainment was very informative, enjoyable, and fun. My goal was to introduce my grown children to the Slovenian culture and this show did all that with the friendly staff, beautiful costumes, music, and Slovenian ambience. Even Slovenian family that joined us were surprised this show was available and all 16 of us had a great & fun time!! The location was in the heart of Ljubljana and everything was perfect!!!

Great experience in Slovenia! We enjoyed the dinner and the dances, traditional games and regional costumes. The hosts are very nice and warmhearted. We highly recommend this experience if you visit Ljubljana!

The host was great! Very knowledgeable and funny. We were in Slovenia for my wedding and the group was very kind to us. They were communicative in the booking process and even set a table for us with flowers. We did the hat dance and had a great time! My only feedback would be that I wish there was a larger restaurant space so we could all learn some Slovenian dance moves too! We would definitely be back!

I was very excited for this experience and it did not disappoint. From the welcome to the goodbye, the energy was so fun! The dance crew did such a wonderful job. My kids loved being part of the dancing as well. Had a great night!

The show was well orghanised, the host was charming. The performance was more than expected. After the show we stayed for a while and had a very nice chat with the staff.

This is our 2nd time attending the Traditional Slovenian Dinner and Show. After seeing it in 2019, we made it a must-do for our group of eleven’s family reunion in Slovenia. From the warm and friendly greeting with music, dried fruit, and tasty liqueur shot to the dancing, history, games and delicious dinner—everyone absolutely loved it all. Highly recommend for an informative and delightful introduction to Slovenia.

This was an amazing experience! From start to finish. They do a wonderful job of telling you about the history of Slovenia, the dress from different regions, dance styles, and different class of citizens. They serve traditional cuisine, they have an immersive experience where they bring the audience up and teach the different types of dances and fun hat dance (reminiscent of musical chairs)!

I was able to add this experience of dinner and dancing last minute and so glad I looked again. Dinner was traditional Slovenian and the dancing topped off the evening. The attire of the dancers was full of history and told the story of the different regions in Slovenia. We danced and played games which made for a memorable experience!
