Bled Lake Day Tour From Ljubljana

Communication was great and Tarun was very responsive to my queries. I am a full time wheelchair user and getting around Slovenia had limited options so we decided to book a day tour to Lake Bled and the Vogel Cable car to see views of Lake Bohinj. We ended the trip with a slice of the famous cream cake at the oldest cafe. Tarun was knowledgeable and had good suggestions so we had a lovely day out and made the most of our time there

Varun is a conscientious and enthusiastic guide who introduced us to the beauty and history of Lake Bled by driving us to the best locations for admiring the lake; giving us crucial local tips about where to enjoy a quick swim; and rounding the trip off at an authentic local cafe where we had a scrumptious cream cake! He also gave us ample privacy during the day so we could enjoy our time together as a family. So pleased we found him! Highly recommended. Urooj

We had a great time with Varun on two day trips, first to Škocjan caves and then a private tour to lake Bled. Varun was lovely and friendly, and showed us plenty of insider tips and good ways to see the area, as well as always being super responsive on WhatsApp and flexible to work around our schedules. Varun was lovely! We had him for 2 days and he took us to Lake Bled and the Skocjan Caves. He was very knowledgeable and kind, always happy to give recommendations and never rushed us. Would definitely book again :)

Like another reviewer wrote, this is not a "tour" but a private taxi/Uber ride. $150pp = 2 hours of transit from Ljubljana + 2 hrs at Lake Bled (4 hr limit) . Each additional hour is €25. Airport drop-off is another €25. Our first choice private tour cancelled 2 days prior so we were concerned when this company didn't confirm the tour the night prior and failed to reply to our Viator message. We did get ahold of someone at 630am on day of tour via Whatsapp to confirm our trip. They were good about extending the timeframe after we paid another €85 in fees. We got charged an extra €25 for airport dropoff even though the driver admitted there were no airport fees. Total greedy money grub. Driver arrived early and was very accommodating. Unfortunately, her car smelled like an ashtray. 3 stars because the driver was accommodating and held our luggage while we toured Lake Bled. She knew enough English to tell us how and where to buy tickets for the castle and boat ride. We enjoyed ourselves in the end. Minus 2 stars for the outrageous cost, no "tour", poor communication and second hand smoke.

This was a brilliant tour with Tarun from Adventure Holiday Tours. We were collected from our hotel and taken to Lake Bled. On the journey Tarun gave a detailed commentary which was informative. His delivery was very good, we learnt a lot on the trip. Tarun walked us to the lake. We walked around part of the lake to the point where the boats to the island leave. Ticket cost was 15 euros per person. The boat has a gondolier type rower who takes 15 minutes rowing you to the island. It is a wonderful journey with lovely views. On reaching the island you climb 99 steps to the church and museum. There is an admission charge to these. This admission tickets gives you access to the toilets. There is a lovely cafe serving drinks and snacks.On arriving the gondolier will give you a departure time. When you arrive back at the shore Tarun is there to pick you up. There are toilets in a cafe opposite that you can use. There was a charge of 1 euro. On the way back Tarun took us to a wonderful local cafe in Bled wheee we had a tasty local cake called a cremeschnitte. I highly recommend this trip with the excellent Tarun..

Tarun provided my group of Alaskan women with several very special tours to unique places in Slovenia. Varun was an amazing guide! He was so kind, thoughtful, and accommodating to our preferences. He even agreed to pick us up 30 minutes earlier than scheduled so we could beat the crowd to Lake Bled and it was absolutely worth it. The whole experience felt smooth, well-paced, and customized just for us. He’s knowledgeable and shares just the right amount of information, never too much, never too little. This tour is worth every penny no wonder why it’s rated 5 stars! Truly the kind of guide you’d want to have for every trip.

We had a great half day tour from Ljubljana. Varun was an awesome guide! He gave us the history of Bled and took us to all the main sites. We got great pictures on the trip as well. I would highly recommend this trip!

We were only in Slovenia for a few days and wanted to make the most of our time there. After exploring Ljubljana we booked a trip to Lake Bled for the following day. The appeal of just the 2 of us on the tour so we weren’t waiting for large parties or coach fills of people was great. Our driver & guide Tarun made the whole experience simple & stress free contacting us before the trip to finalise details and couldn’t have done more for us to make the day go smoothly. We had plenty of time at Lake Bled and were able to go to some fantastic viewpoints to take great photos. All in all a great day that couldn’t have been better

Varun took us on a tailored a one-day trip for our family. We wanted to combine Lake Bled with Postojna Cave and a short stop at Predjama Castle, all in one day. Varun made sure the day ran smoothly from collection to drop off and we had a brilliant day. He dropped us close to every venue, telling us what we needed to do / where we needed to go. Tarun is a fantastic guide. He was early waiting outside our hotel for us. Lovely comfortable transport. We had the best day driving out to Lake Bled first. We arrived and had the lake to ourselves- luxury. Tarun then took us to a great local bakery for much needed coffee and cake. Next stop was the caves and high is a great activity followed by a leisurely drive back to our hotel. Such a wonder day and made all the better by Tarun’s excellent knowledge of the area and Slovenia itself. We will be booking another tour with him in the future. A magical day thank you Tarun!

Had a day with Tarun whilst in Solvenia. Advised us on an early start to head over to Lake Bled, to give us longer in the area. We loved it so much, we wanted a little extra time in the afternoon and Tarun was more than accommodating. His local knowledge was second to none, and even took us to to a lovely bakery on the journey back to Ljubljana. Can't recommend him enough!

The views were beautiful. I would suggest walking up to the viewing point at the castle before getting a boat to the island.

Tarun was very pleasant and effective, and avoided the bad traffic on the way back. He told us exactly what we needed to do to get the best experience, which was exactly what we wanted. When we found out he was a member of the Slovenian national cricket team we spent most of the travel time discussing cricket! Highly recommended.

We have used Viator successfully to book tours for years, including 6 tours on this summer’s trip alone. Unfortunately this particular tour did not meet expectations - specifically, it wasn’t really a tour. It was essentially a long taxi ride, with my family of 4 squeezed into an actual taxi, driven to Lake Bled, and dropped off at a small pier where we paid €72 to be taken on a boat to the small island where we could walk around for 40 minutes. To be totally fair, Lake Bled is beautiful, the taxi was clean, and the driver friendly. Just not the kind of private tour we’ve enjoyed in other places.

Tarun ,who did our tour was great.He had a lot of interesting information about the area and we enjoyed his company.We were in Slovenia for a short time and it was an easy enjoyable way to visit Lake Bled.

We, a group of four, recently took a tour to famous Lake Bled near Ljubljana with Tarun, who is a very experienced driver and has led tours in India and Europe. He drove us safely and calmly and was knowledgeable about the area, giving us interesting facts about the culture of the region. He was patient and friendly and made us feel comfortable throughout the trip. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend him to others looking for an experienced and knowledgeable driver and guide.

The short trip to Bled Lake was a treat. Tarun, our driver was a pleasure to be with- knowledgeable, flexible about what we wanted to see, safe and professional driver.

Lake Bled Our tour guide Tarun took us to Belvedere Caverna for some breath taking views of Lake Bled Island . He not only introduced us to delicious Bled Cream Cake but also some great tips on eating places . Tarun proved himself to be of a friend much after the trip had ended . He responded to our SOS when I met with an injury after a fall in Ljubljana. He drove us to the Ljubliana University Medical Center and stayed whole night at the ER speaking to the doctors and nurses in Slovenski. He drove us back to the hotel safely in the wee hours of morning and we were immensely grateful to find a friend in a foreign land . I recommend him for his knowledge of the lay of the land, his fluent Slovenski but most importantly for being the helpful and kind person. Our trip to Slovenia will always be memorable for our association with Tarun Sharma 🙏

The castle was great to walk around. The picture opportunities were great also! A nice little town to visit.

Tarun is amazing. He goes above and beyond to make his customers feel comfortable. He took me to the lake Bled , Bohinj , Trieste , Ljubljana airport for a very reasonable price. I enjoyed his company and conversations. Tarun is very adventurous and knowledgeable in many different subjects and can definitely learn a lot from him. Once I go back to Ljubljana , I will definitely reach out to him again since he is very reliable and punctual.

I booked a private day tour from Ljubljana to Lake Bled and the surrounding areas and had a great time. Tarun is a fabulous guide - experienced, knowledgeable, easygoing and fun. Due to road closures and such, we weren’t able to visit some of the attractions and Tarun took me to other interesting places to compensate. He was very flexible with time and itinerary. He even brought me a croissant for breakfast and offered local beverages. When I’m ready to travel to India, I will definitely keep him in mind. I highly recommended this company.

Tarun is an amazing guy and and an excellent guide and although this is a very delayed review I definitely thought it's worth it sharing my experience! It was very easy to make plans even though it was really the very last moment and it was Christmas holidays, so I wasn't even expecting that I would be able to book a tour to Bled. But Tarun was very flexible and we were able to organise a day tour, even though I was a solo traveller. He was waiting for me on time outside my hotel and he even brought some delicacies from his local bakery so extra credits for that! Tarun is very nice and friendly, and we chatted about different things. He really loves Slovenia and he knows a lot about this beautiful country. The trip to Bled was really pleasant and we stopped at different places to take pictures, on a lovely chill December morning, and try the traditional Bled cake of course. Since it wasn't busy that day we had extra time to do an additional tour to Lake Bohinj, which is literally a hidden gem with amazing scenery. On top of that and if you enjoy Indian food, Tarun can take you to one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. Overall great experience and highly recommended!!

My husband and I spent 4 days in May 2019 with Adventure Tours exploring Slovenia with driver / guide Tarun Sharma.Tarun with his wife Anita made our time in Slovenia very much one to remember. We travelled to all the amazing sights of great natural beauty, plus many “ back roads” and hidden spots that, the local Anita ,and Tarun enjoy on their own leisure time.I couldn’t count the amount of times viewing the countryside “WOW” came out of our mouths .Tarun was very flexible and accommodated a special request for a trip to an area of interest of ours in the north east of Slovenia, which is not on the usual tourist rounds.His stamina ,enthusiasm and joyfulness on the long days is amazing.We loved the relaxed feel, as for example ,could just pick up some bread and cheese from a market ,find a nice view, sit on the grass and enjoy, or on another day had a delicious a la carte meal at a restaurant, with a view no words can describe.You never feel like a customer or number with Tarun....always travelling companions. While Slovenia certainly speaks for itself in it’s beauty,Tarun and Anita speak for Slovenia’s hospitality.They are a terrific team.We wish them every success with their tours and highly recommend their services.
