Overall average experience. The hotel itself is modern, well-maintained, and very clean. My room was comfortable. The highlight of the stay was definitely the breakfast buffet—there was an excellent variety of hot and cold options to choose from. However, there were a few downsides that pulled this down to a 3-star review. The room lacked basic amenities like an in-room kettle or coffee-making facilities.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent stay and wonderful service We stayed at M Hotel Ljubljana and had a very pleasant experience. Our room was spacious, clean and fresh, which was perfect for our family. The breakfast was excellent, with so many choices that we didn’t even know what to choose! Everything looked delicious, and we were very satisfied. I also accidentally left my passport at the hotel. I contacted the hotel, and fortunately, they had found it and kept it safe. They kindly arranged to send it to me, and I received my passport safely. A special thank you to Aljaž Velkavrh for his help and kindness throughout the process. I really appreciate how helpful and professional he was. We were very happy with our stay, and the next time we visit Slovenia, M Hotel will definitely be where we stay again. ❤️ Thank you to everyone at M Hotel for the excellent service!
Good bus connectivity with the city centre, although not so good with the central train and bus station. Buses(Arriva buses to Bled) from the airport virtually stop 100meters from the hotel. No need to hire a taxi to go to the airport. The check-in and check-out process was not too tedious, although a bit of a smile on the face of the reception staff and a warm welcome would go a long way in bringing back the customers. The rooms are a bit crammed. They were sold to us as ideal for three people. But they were unfit for even two people. Single chair, not even ONE bottle of water, No coffee/tea making facility. Aircon was poor. The shower corner was awfully small, but the shower water pressure was very good at any time of the day. Breakfast was also exceptionally good.
We had a wonderful experience! The hotel is beautiful, very clean and well maintained, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I especially have to mention the breakfast – I honestly haven’t had croissants this good anywhere else, and I’ve traveled a lot and stayed in many higher-category hotels. 🥐 The hotel also has excellent public transport connections to the city center, which makes getting around very easy. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!
This is my second stay at this hotel, and I want to make it clear that this review is not written out of spite. I simply hope it helps the management improve the guest experience. Unfortunately, this time my stay was much less satisfying than my previous visit. There was no complimentary bottled water in the room. The refrigerator was not working at all. Although the room was prepared for four guests, there were only two glasses. When I reported this to the reception, I was told that I could go to the dining area and collect more glasses myself, as nobody would bring them to the room. I found this disappointing. Another issue was the air conditioning. It was the middle of summer, but the lowest temperature that could be set was 22°C, which made the room uncomfortably warm. Finally, the wardrobe design is not very practical. The hangers are fixed in place and hidden around the corner inside the wardrobe, so hanging up a T-shirt requires unnecessary effort and feels quite awkward. During my first stay, I would have happily rated this hotel 8/10. Unfortunately, after this experience, I can only give it 5/10. I hope these issues will be addressed because the hotel has the potential to provide a much better experience.
