While the location of this hotel is undeniably great—putting you within an easy walk of Ljubljana’s old town—the room itself has been a massive disappointment. This is my very first time visiting Slovenia, and unfortunately, the issues here have deeply affected my overall experience in the country. So far, I cannot recommend this hotel. Before booking, the online description explicitly stated the room would have a fridge, but there is absolutely no fridge in the room. On top of that, the room is incredibly hot. The air conditioning is running, but the air coming out is simply not cold enough to cool the space down, making it very uncomfortable to relax or sleep.Another major drawback is the parking fee. The daily rate for parking is way too high, and the hotel really should offer a discount on parking for its paying guests. Between the false advertising regarding the fridge and the stifling room temperature, it has been a highly frustrating stay.

Check in ok. Room very dark, bedside power points, main room lights and shower light not working. Urine stains down toilet wall and room walls filthy. Toilet door and shower door didn't shut properly. Bathroom sink tap sprayed our water onto the bench and floor. Room was very noisy we were on the 1st floor above the casino entrance and no sound proofing. On a plus breakfast was good and location to town square 10 minute walk. We were part of a bus tour so couldn't cancel and find other accommodation.
Had a great few nights at this hotel. Comfortable beds, great hospitality (shoutout to Vaishnav who was really helpful during our stay), amazing location, and really good breakfast buffet. First time in Slovenia and definitely not the last. The stay was perfect so recommend this hotel to everyone visiting
It really felt like home during our stay in Ljubljana. We were warmly welcomed at the front desk. The rooms are sparkling clean and everything is brand new. Breakfast is aweome! The view of the castle from the room is just amazing. Thank you for being such great hosts!
The hotel was built in 1960s and seems to carry tradition from those times. — The air conditioner, while installed, doesn’t do the job, not even close. The temperature in the room stays at about 26-28C, and the air is stuffy. At first I assumed the AC just wasn’t working, so I called the front desk. Someone came up immediately, was polite, and assured me the maintenance will take care of it. I spent the night sweating, tossing and turning and the next morning raised the same issue with another front desk person. They assured us by the evening that the issue was resolved, but it was not. Instead we learned from other guests that all of them have been experiencing the same problem. This is very uncomfortable considering the heat wave outside. No comfort whatsoever! — The water temperature in the shower fluctuates randomly, there’s nothing one can do. — 3 elevators are clearly insufficient. The wait time is unacceptable. Besides, twice I saw how the doors closed BEFORE everyone was able to get out! So we had to exit for a much longer time again to get on the elevator, and several people inside traveled up against their will! Yikes. To make matters worse, one of the elevators was out of service over the weekend. — The little round table in the room is NOT a desk and cannot substitute one if you came here for business. — The towels seem to be original circa 1964. They look old, cheap, grayish and thin, not what you’d expect at a 4-star hotel. — During flushing, water from the toilet sprays all around the bathroom, reaching the floor, your tooth brush, and your face. — Cleaning is done AROUND the objects in the room. You notice all the familiar little puddles on the floor and undisturbed shoes in the same position you saw them before. Other than that, it’s a nice hotel. But definitely not luxurious or elegant.
