About Activity
From the port of Livorno this is a private shore excursion to Pisa and Florence. In Pisa you will be dropped by the main square where you will have time on your own to discover this Ancient Maritime Republic; the Cathedral, the Baptistery and of the course the Leaning Tower - for that all-important photo opportunity!
A scenic, hour-long drive through the wonderful Tuscan countryside brings you to Florence city centre where you can decide to visit it on your own or to upgrade to a private guided tour to get the most out of this great Renaissance gem. With the guided option you'll also visit the Accademia gallery to see Michelangelo's David.
You will be driven back to your cruise ship in time for the next part of your journey with fond memories of Italy.

Stop At: Piazzale Michelangelo Florence is an hour’s drive away along a scenic route through the beautiful hills of Tuscany. Your first stop is Piazzale Michelangelo, where you’ll enjoy your first, panoramic view of the splendid Renaissance city of Florence.

Tickets are not included Then you’ll head to the centre of Florence to explore its numerous architectural gems, walking. Upgrade to the guided option to have a professional art historian guide showing you the best of Florence highlights.
First, you’ll see the Church of Santa Croce where many famous Italians are buried, including Michelangelo and Galileo.
Stop At: Ponte Vecchio A stroll along the River Arno will lead you to the Ponte Vecchio.

After your tour, you will be driven back to Livorno to meet your cruise ship just in time for your next adventure.

Our driver was the most informative, humorous person. Busted a lot of Amrican made Italian myths. Kept a great conversation the whole time. The Florence tour guide was very well prepared. The highlight is the viewing of David. She gave us many interesting details that I will never forget. Pisa tower actually comes with it's own museum, cathedral and baptism dome. I will have to come back and spend more time at both locations. The tour was a lot for 1 day. No t8me for sot down lunch. We had some very delicious sandwiches on the go.
