Doing Pisa first was the perfect option, you get there before the crowds. The first town in Cinque Terra has a significant hill that is unavoidable and will be difficult for those with mobility issues. Mourizio gave us a great recommendation for lunch! He has a great knowledge of Italy and was very personable.

Our driver Guiliano was prompt, informative, funny and kind. He did everything we asked and we had an amazing day in Cinque Terre. We stayed in Monterosso.
Our family had a great day at Pisa and Cinque Terre! Marta was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. Definitely recommended as a stress free way to visit both places in a day!
Wonderful driver (Marta). Very personable and easy going. Would recommend to anyone. Our family had a great visit
We used this as a way to have a private experience during our day trip off our cruise ship. It was a great way to see Piza and Cinque Terre
Mauricio is very professional and knowledgeable and so much fun! He gave us exactly what we asked for and it was a fun excursion from our cruise ship!
Everything was excellent and our private driver was extremely helpful and pleasant. We would highly recommend this tour again to friends and family
Cinqueterre is breathtaking! GO! Our driver was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. He made visiting the villages easy. We also squeezed in Pisa and made it back to the boat on time. Beware that the optimal route is to take a train between the villages which is an additional expense. Loved the trip.
Luca was a great guide and driver. We saw so much. So beautiful!!! Cinque de Terre is breathtaking. We had a surprising amount of time in the villages. Pisa was fun. Well worth it.
Driver was excellent, spoke very good English. Day was flexible, visited two villages in Cinque Terre and then went to Pisa before returning to our ship on time.
We really enjoyed this excursion. Perfect if you are in port at Livorno. The driver, Leonardo picked us up at the port, easy to find. Car war was clean, cool and comfortable. Best part for the kids there was WiFi. Sites were amazing and we had a great day. Very happy we chose this private tour while in port
Great experience from start to finish. The date that I wanted was initially booked. I received an email stating that the date had opened up. Easy communication with the company. Laura, our fabulous guide, was knowledgeable, extraordinarily friendly, and fun. She made the whole day run smoothly. We teasingly adopted her as our new daughter. I had sprained my ankle a few days earlier. Laura tailored our tour to make everything as easy and accessible as possible. Leonardo, the driver, was great. He made us feel safe and comfortable. I highly recommend this day trip. We had a tremendously different experience than the people who booked a large group tour through the cruise line. It was worth every penny in my opinion.
Nicola was so keen to provide a personalised experience, he asked us what we wanted and we said, 'Tuscanys greatest hits' and he definitely delivered, We had a fantastic day away from the crowds of tourists, handpicked locations with fantastic ideas, food and scenery. Thank you so much for making the trip to Pisa and Tuscany unforgettable.
Our group of 8 decided to do a private tour so that we would have time to see Pisa and Cinque Terre from our cruise ship stop in Livorno. We were so lucky to book with Maurizio Mancini. His Mercedes sprinter was so comfortable and he used a microphone to tell us about the sites and life in Tuscany in excellent English. He had a special permit where he could drive us directly to the villages in Cinque Terre. We had time for three villages and a lovely lunch in Corniglia and lots of photo opportunities in Pisa. We were back to the ship in plenty of time for our sailing.
We had an excellent day with Vito! We were on a cruise and he was right there waiting for us when we walked off the ship in Livorno. He asked us what we expected from our day and we let him know that we're getting older and can't do a lot of climbing, so he made some suggestions tailored to our preferences. He let us know that the ferry wasn't running that day due to rough seas, so he made another plan that still allowed us to see some of the villages. Our first stop was Pisa to see the square with the Leaning Tower, Piazza and Cathedral. It was raining a little but we had no worries because Vito had umbrellas available for us. He took some obligatory tourist pics of us holding up the tower and then went to move the car. As it was before 9 am when we arrived, the square was relatively empty. We noticed the crowds coming in when we were leaving the square. We then met him in the Po'stò Cafè, where he suggested we order the Caffè Corretto - a shot of espresso with sambuca - which was exactly what we needed to take off the chill of the wet morning. We then took the scenic route through the mountains to Vernazza. The skies cleared and it was a beautiful drive! Vito provided lots of information about the areas we were passing through on the way and taught us some Italian. At our request, we stopped at another cafe halfway to Vernazza for some refreshments. After our stop, we proceeded on the narrow, winding mountain roads that provided magnificent views. He patiently pulled over a few times to let us take pictures of the beautiful coast. I don't think I've said "wow" so many times before. When we arrived in Vernazza, Vito dropped us off right at the top of the village and told us to take our time walking down to the beach. He had suggested this village because it is a relatively mild slope to get to the beach and back. We strolled through the village, taking in the beauty and history of the area and checking out the vendors. We also took a lot of photos. Vito asked us to send him a text when we got back to our meeting point, and he arrived quickly after we sent it. We then proceeded to our next planned stop, Riomaggiore. Vito suggested this village because, although it's a fairly steep walk down to the water, there are 2 elevators that make the return trip to the car a relatively easy walk. We took a different coastal route to Riomaggiore that provided more breathtaking views of the coastline and the Sea. We got hungry on the way, so Vito suggested we stop at a mountainside restaurant, Bar Il Sole a 180 Gradi, which provided an amazing birdseye view of Vernazza from the cliffside terrace, along with a panoramic view of the coastline and the Cinque Terre. The staff was very friendly and the pasta was delicious, at a very reasonable price. Once we arrived in Riomaggiore, Vito parked the van and accompanied us into the Village. We strolled down the steep slope to the water, where Vito recommended the best viewpoint to take photos of the village. He waited patiently while I went up to the observation point and took some great pics! He then led us through the tunnel to the elevator to begin our ascent back up to the van. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of service, so we had to walk up to the 2nd elevator. Vito was very patient as I had to take several breaks due to the slope and stairs. We continued up to the 2nd elevator, which we were relieved to find working. Once off the elevator, Vito had to hurry to move the van before it got towed. We continued at a slower pace and found him waiting at the end of the road. We returned to the cruise port via La Spezia. Unfortunately, we had an early boarding time, so we couldn't make any stops in this beautiful city. Instead, we enjoyed the views and the information that Vito provided about the city as we passed by. We were back at the port in time for boarding and sadly said goodbye to Vito. We had such a good time and learned so much about the area! We plan to return and have Vito show us more of the area the next time we visit. I completely and unreservedly recommend this tour to anyone who is in the area! Grazie mille, Vito!!! Ci manchi già <3
We booked this tour based on previous Tripadviser reviews and are so happy we did. Maurizio was waiting on the pier when we arrived and whisked us away to start our fabulous day. He is professional, fun, friendly and very helpful. He made recommendations on how to structure our day and it was perfect. His driving was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our day in Pisa and Cinqueterre. We cannot recommend him highly enough! Thanks Maurizio. We hope to see you in New Zealand some time!
Our family loved Pisa and the Cinque Terre with Maurizio. He showed us the beautiful views of Cinque Terre and where to eat. It was my family’s favorite place to eat on our trip! We highly recommend this tour and when we go back to Italy, I will certainly use Maurizio again for another tour. Thanks again for our wonderful memory of the Cinque Terre.
Mr Mancini was very nice, proper, professional and well mannered. His vehicle was very clean and comfortable— He was very insightful . He took us to great places to eat . He was very punctual. He is a very safe driver and got us to Pisa , Corniglia and Vernazza with plenty of time to explore . We highly recommend!
Maurizio was fantastic! Great coordination, took us to Posa then Portovenere where we transited to Ferry along the coast. Afterward, he picked us up in Vernazza and drove us up to Corniglia—not accessible by water. Gave us excellent insight into the area and history…a great day!
Driver told me I don’t recommend it with the van at all. It’s a very long journey with a van and a very narrow road. Another option is a ferry or a train but you still have to pay the ticket for that … so let’s go Florence I told him okay. On the way to Florence there is a bit of traffic so he said let’s go to Luca if you want it’s the same of Florence I said okay. But when I went I found it a tiny place and nothing to do much really
We booked this as a private tour. We are on the Viking Sky Ionic Mediterranean cruise. We had gone on other excursions with Viking, however , having a private tour made all the difference. Maurizio was very accommodating from the very beginning and the car was clean and comfortable. He even introduced us to Porto Venere which was a lovely quaint city. The lunch restaurant he made reservations at (Miky in Monterossa) was beautiful and the food was excellent. We enjoyed swimming at the beach and walking in the small towns. I would definitely use Maurizio again.
Maurizio offered us a great tour and transportation to and from the cruise port. Quick to respond to emails and texts and also offered some great tips and suggestions (restaurants). His pricing is very fair and we thoroughly enjoyed our private tour. Thank you for your services!
This was 5 star service in every way possible. Maurizio is the best of the best as far as I am concerned. It felt like we were riding in a van with a friend. I am going recommend this service to all my friends visiting Italy and will definitely book again my next trip here.
Maurizio literally made our trip! I was traveling with my son, who is 4 years old. Maurizio was kind, flexible, and totally rearranged our day trip for me once I got into the car and we discussed what might be a better fit for the day than I had originally planned. I’m so glad I listened to him. I truly can’t say enough - we saw so many different places, he made the best recommendations. I don’t know why there are any negative reviews on here, because our trip to Italy would not have been the same without him. Thank you for making our day trip with you so special, Maurizio! Still daydreaming of Florence, Tuscany, and last but not least, Pisa. If I could give him 100 stars I would. You won’t regret!!
Fantastic way to spend a day. All of us have been to Florence and loved it. We wanted a new experience. This hit all the boxes. First stop was Pisa where we could wander to our hearts content. Then off to Cinque Terre. Spectacular views. Charming perched villages. Incomparable scenery. Fabulous food. Trattoria Locanda dau Tinola was a welcome find. We highly recommend their appetizer sampler. It’s enough to feed 6 hungry people! Our guide was a delightful young man. Very informative and patient.
Mauricio is a fantastic driver. Very patient and kind. Lots of information. We drove right to the center of the places and had plenty of time to wander and explore.
We were thinking to go Florence initially but were glad that we booked this excursion. The tour operator sent an informative driver who was a local with good grasp of english to explain each area and give suggestions all through out the day. Cinque terre is absolutely jaw dropping and well worth the drive and trek through the villages. Pisa was also really good but we didnt go up the tower as we were short on time.
Maurizio is the greatest guide and chauffeur EVER! We booked a tour through Tuscany Taste Tour and the one and only Maurizio Mancini was our driver. Our party of 7 consisted of 3 couples and a friend of ours whose husband wasn't able to do the tour. From the moment we started Maurizio gave us information and helpful information on the sites along the way to Pisa and Cinque de Terre. He was very good at keeping us on schedule while keeping it fun. This guy is a rock star and I would recommend anyone who is in the area to do this tour. You don't need more than this excursion to see both places. Actually, as much as I loved them and as beautiful as they were- you don't need more time. I will caution anyone who gets car sick, like me, that the trip to Cinque de Terre is extremely winding and twisting... So, even though I got a little queasy, IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!! Thanks again Maurizio! We're going on another one of your tours when we visit again!
Our driver spoke poor English and didn’t offer much in the way of narration on our way to our destination. He dropped us off at the first village, again without much direction. We were able to figure out the ferries between the villages and had no problem with that. When we arrived in the last village, he was no where to be found! He had showed us a picture of the hotel he would be waiting with the car. We couldn’t find it!! Hot, tired and a little frustrated, I called him. We finally connected. Silent ride back to port...defiantly no tip!

What a great and memorable day. We had three 8 passenger vans for our excursion to Cinque Terre. All three drivers were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They drove us straight to riomaggiore where they dropped us off to explore on our own and take the ferry over to Monterosso. This enabled us to go at our own pace and get to the pick up point a few hours later. The Ferry ride over had the best views you can imagine. Definitely the best way to see Cinque Terre. Our drivers then picked us up and drove us to Corniglia, another village that you can not get to by boat. A beautiful village on the top of a cliff with great views. We had about an hour there to tour and grab a quick glass of wine. On the way back to the boat we were able to stop in Pizza for about 30 minutes to take a few pictures before heading back to the boat.
I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone.

AWSOME experience!!!!The guide was very friendly and professional, he allowed us to spend free time in the places we liked the most, which made the day very nice and relaxing without the typical excursion rush. A MUST do! We did Pisa first thing in the morning before it got full of other tourist and it was perfect to then spend most of the time in Cinque Terre, which was breathtaking.

Wow what a beautiful day trip! Our driver Daniel was wonderful! He was nice and even joined up for lunch. We had ample time at the two villages we visited. Our boys swam in the Med at Cornighlia. Great lunch recommended by our guide
