Wonderful tour of cinqueterre. Our driver, Leonardo was very knowledgeable and supplied us with a lot of information On the drive to and from Cinqueterre. He suggested a small itinerary change and it was a great experience (taking the boat along the coast). Our guide, Ilauria , is a local of one of the Cinqueterre villages, and as such, was the perfect guide. Thank you to both of them for a fantastic experience.

Reviews
Great day trip of three villages in the Cinque Terre area of Italy. Emilia was a great guide as was our driver Arnando. Highly recommend this trip
Leonardo and Lisa were terrific guides — very knowledgeable and very flexible to accommodate our requests. Leonardo spent an extra long day with us so we could see everything we wanted to see. We also felt completely safe with him driving on the narrow hairpin turns in Cinque Terre. A trip to Cinque Terre is a lovely way to spend a day and we would highly recommend Leonardo and Lisa and Discover Tuscany tours as guides to this beautiful area.
We had a great drive from the Port of Livorno to Cinque Terre with Leonardo despite rain on the way. We drove to the 2nd to last village, took the train into Monterosso al Mare and then hiked back to Vernazza once the sun came out. The hike back, although challenging and muddy, was amazing! All in all we were gone from our cruise ship for close to 10 hours so it is a long day, but well worth it.
Our guide, Marta, is exceptional! We visited Manarola, Vernazza and Monterosso and all three locations were excellent. Marta made every one feel at ease, she was very easy to talk with and her instructions and descriptions of the areas were spot on perfect! Maximo, our bus driver, deserves credit for navigating the narrow roads with the full size bus. Marta made the 12 hour day easy. We would have her as our guide on any tour in the future. Thank you Marta!!
our private tour with our tour guide was wonderful I believe his name was Genero. we went to a lot of wonderful places
Our tour guide mumbled and was hard to understand. He had no personality and had very few recommendations on what to see and do. We’ve taken tons of tours and have never had such a dud guide. He did arrive on time and took us everywhere the tour committed.
I booked this months in advance and didn’t realize they left a vm to cancel the night before. We were waiting outside our cruise ship and I called and luckily they sent someone. It felt like maybe they got a better offer or overbooked. I don’t know what we would have done! As others said, this is not a tour. It’s a driver. He would stop somewhere and we had to ask where we were. Thank goodness for the internet so we could learn about where we were and want to see or eat!
Steve tried his best to make the most of the sightseeing in one day.We met in Levorno port, and the driving time he let us know many things interesting about Italy.we went three villages by car and on the way back he drove us to Pisa as an extra. He is a gentleman,we had a great day with him.
Well done. Great job! Very nice lunch restaurant reservation! Squeezed in a wine tasting at the co-op which was nice. The van was nice, kept up and clean! Driver is outstanding! We did this with another couple.
We visited four attraction spots in this tour. The driver was very friendly. We have a pleasant memory of the trip.
Diego is fantastic tour guide. He is very flexible. We changed from Cinque Terre to Luca and Florence on the fly, and he was fine with it. He was ver informative, funny, charming and helpful. Highly recommend Diego.
Very good! Polite, on time, convenient and flexible. Was able to add Pisa on the way home which was amazing. Only thing that would have made it 5-stars would have been more information about Cinque Terre, we were on our own basically dropped to explore on our own some background or history of the area would have been nice.
Leonardo was very friendly and informative. He was also flexible with options and our itinerary. My wife likes to take pictures and he made sure he pointed the best places for pictures along the road and was nice enough to take multiple family shots of us. We had a great time.
Ricardo was an excellent driver for this trip. It was very hot during this time of year and he had water for us after each stop. He answered all of our questions and gave us good information on places to eat, etc. It was a wonderful trip that was seemless for our cruise port this day.
Tour guides great. They were waiting at.the.pier.for us. Very informative We had young kids and they were very accomadating
The driver was great, easy to communicate and he tired his best to meet our needs. We had a great time. The tour is highly recommended.
Beautiful! As or more impressive as Amalfi coast. We experienced the train. Was just a day visit for us. Beware of pick pockets.
Leonardo was excellent! He was a great guide and took us places that we would have never known to visit. He was super flexible and gave us plenty free time to explore.
Stefano helped to make our day and visit to Cinque Terre most memorable. He is a delightful person, careful driver and quite knowledgeable about the area.
Leonardo was a pleasure to spend the day with! He picked us up at our ship, and after an almost hurricane-like rain squall we began our adventure to the 5 Villages. The day cleared up for us, and we were able to experience the beauty of this Unesco site. Leonardo is very knowledgable in the entire area, and is a very good driver. This is extremely important because the roads are all twists and turns and quite dangerous. Be aware that it takes a long time by car from the port to arrive at Cinque Terre, and alot of curvy driving is involved. The payoff at the end are some of the most spectacular towns on the Italian Coast. There is alot of walking and hills involved, so you need to be physically able to move around and not get tired. Leonardo dropped us off at a delicious restaurant and waited for us to get on the Ferry. He then met us at our next destination. There are many options to get around but the ferry avoids all of the driving on the hills and is fun and scenic. Leonardo made sure we were always within his reach, and attended to us the whole day taking us through the villages and explaining the local attractions and specialities. He was tireless and attentive--a good tour operator and a very nice person that spoke English well. This is a much better option than a giant tour bus with herds of people! I highly recommend him!
Marta Bettini was our guide (my husband and me) we booked a private tour. She was right on time. And she and driver were very kind and knowledgeable. We cannot hope for something better. This was one of our favorite shore excursions thanks to Marta.
We had a very enjoyable day exploring three of the five villages. Leonardo took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. I would give this tour a thumbs up!!!

Don't get me wrong... A tour at Cinque Terre sells itself. How can you not be impressed by the scenery and unique villages. My review for this tour is just to let folks know that this is really NOT a guided tour. It was more like a private transfer from Livorno to one of the starting town at Cinque Terre. Our guide Carlo picked us up on time at the cruise port when we arrive. Although the car was a Mercendes, it was pretty beat up, which is fine, He recommended us to go to one of the big city to take a ferry along the coast of Cinque Terre which was a great idea. Carlo was not going on the ferry with us, We had hope that he would at least help us purchase the ferry tickets, but we sorted of had to figure that out by ourselves... He then told us how we can travel via ferry to the last village, get off to get a bite to each on the waterfront, then take the train back visiting each villages from a different vintage point. When we were ready to go back to Livorno, we can call him and he will bring the car to which ever village we were at and pick us up. So that is the jest of the tour. I can understand how it is very difficult for a guide to escort you all the way, but I just thought that someone should indicate that in the description and review.

Driver arrived on time at Port and was very friendly, introduced himself individually to us all. Spoke very good English. We told him that we would prefer the beach in the return rather than Pisa as we'd all seen Pisa before....the descriptive said we had this option yet the driver said there wouldn't be time, only time for a quick visit to Pisa...so our first disappointment. We got in the vehicle, very clean and air conditioned, no water, yet the day before when we were in Rome, also booked through Viator, the driver had water for us. Anyway moving on he drove to our first of five villages, what we didn't know was that our first leg of the trip would take nearly 2 hours !!! When we got to the first village the views were breathtaking and we had a guided walk around and up to the church, take good walking shoes with you as it's all uneven, slight incline but nothing major, I've a weak right knee and I was ok. A point to make, have some coins with you for the toilets, it's a strange system, you put money in machine and that opens the appropriate numbered door...anyway moving onto the second village, again lovely scenery and breathtaking views, next village we asked could we stop for a bit of lunch, driver took us to a pizza takeaway, we wanted a sit down, anyway eventually found one suitable. All boarded the vehicle for the next round of the trip and we asked about the boat trip, driver said wasn't really in the schedule !!!! We questioned this and showed him the description, anyway he took us to pick the ferry up......over another hour in the vehicle !!!!! By this time we were fed up of being in the van and glad to get out for some alternative transportation.....boarded the ferry and went along the coastline, he did say slight incline after the steps and he would meet us at the top....road pedestrianised. Well after getting off the boat, we climbed and climbed and climbed, only then to hit the Main Street leading up to the van.....it was an absolute nightmare, I was ready for collapsing one hundred metres from where our driver was. Even people in our part who are extremely fit found the incline very difficult, especially in those extreme temperatures....and had to go and get the driver to reverse to enable me to get into the van, after that we were taken back to the ship. A lot of money, was it worth it, no it wasn't and the descriptive needs to expand more on how much time your actually in a vehicle and those affected by motion sickness as it's all windy bendy roads, there's no escape. Yes we did see beautiful scenery and got lovely views over the sea and in the villages but was it worth the long long drive, in my opinion no it wasn't, but that's a matter of opinion. None of our party realised how long the travelling was and we had two children with us too a better option would have been to take us to the first village and let us take the boat from there, calling at each village at our leisure with the option of either Pisa or The Beach, we all had our beach stuff with us and the children were looking forward to that, which never happened. Not the drivers fault as he's only following instructions from the company he works for but really the description needs re wording so people are fully aware of what they are going to get.

Our Guide was very informative and knew the area well. He took us to 3 of the 5 villages and then drove us for an unexpected stop to view the Ferrari race that was going on. He then stopped at the store so we could pick up a few items that we had forgotten and overheard one of our friends say that she had not seen the Leaning tower of Pisa so on his way back to our cruise ship a small surprise stop to see the leaning tower. Great tour and well worth the money spent!!!

The villages of Cinque Terre are worthy of their UNESCO heritage designation. They should be on everyoe's bucket list. The villages cling to the mountain side. Our guide, Leonardo Soricelli, spoke excellent English, and he was very knowledgeable. We had an all day private tour with him. And he provided us with the added treat of visiting PIsa, and seeing the leaning tower and other sites in the immediate area. I would highly recommend this tour and Leonardo as your guide.

Excellent driver guide Leonardo, I believe - we went to 5 Terre by car since boat service was not frequent and in our party 2 had difficulty walking - went to Porto Venere absolutely beautiful on the way there - spectacular scenery - great shore excursion.

I highly recommend this tour. We had Leonardo as our tour guide and he was amazing. Our boat ended up having to do our itinerary backwards because of weather and this excursion ended up landing on Christmas Day. We called and Leonardo still came out on Christmas day to tour us around. We could not have been more grateful for this. This tour was personalized to what we wanted to do. Leonardo walked with us everywhere we went and gave us the history behind everything we saw. I would highly recommend booking with Leonardo and if I am ever back in the area he will be my first choice!

We all were excited about visiting Cinque Terre and our guide, Leonardo, exceeded all our expectations. He even arranged a private boat to take us along the five villages. It was all the same things that made this tour amazing - finding us a lunch spot etc. Such a lovely and informative guy.

High praise for Viator! They got us on the Discovery Tuscany with Leonardo Soricelli the night before the tour! The staff at Viator were very professional and helpful. Thanks to them and to our tour guide Leonardo, we had such an incredible and memorable day!
Leonardo arrived at the Livorno port promptly in the morning. He accompanied us on the boat to Cinque Terre and guided us on the tour to three villages. Ample time to swim at the beach and to shop. Do not miss this tour! Our tour guide Leonardo was very patient and accommodating. His nine passenger Mercedes van was a plus too!

This tour was excellent for the sight seeing and boat trip. We experienced it all - walking, boat trip and train trip. Leonardo was a really good guide - always there to answer questions without being intrusive. Free time in Pisa on the way back to the ship broke the return trip nicely. The hill climb back to the car was hard but we made it and it was an experience!

Cique Terra is a wonderful place to visit. Small villas by the seaside. The van picked us up on time and guided us with a lot of professionalism. Definitely a Recommended Service
From all cruises you can take a free bus to the Cruise Terminal... There you grab a Taxi, it’s 15 euros to the Train Station, or you walk for about 25 minutes. Once at the station you take the special ticket to Monterosso, it is 18 euros round trip, with all the stops. The truth is that no one will ask for your ticket... As it will surely be full at that time, you can take the tickets on the Trains of Italy website... beware... go to the.option of Promotions because it is a special ticket.. From there you can do as you want.. only in Corniglia the climb to the village is durissima..at the exit of the station there is a free bus with the train ticket that gets you upstairs.. the truth is a stop dispensable to my understanding... We returned from Spezia Station to the Cruise Terminal on foot and crossed the entire shopping area.
