Bolgheri: Classic Wine Tasting With Winery Tour

Beautiful place, friendly people and gorgeous wine. Had a lovely time...even our under 18 enjoyed it.

Tour guide was very informative and wine was excellent. The cost was minimal; we purchased a few bottles and were there for approximately 2 hours.

This was an excellent stop in Bolgheri Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy wines in the super tuscan styles, but also offers other varietals.. Beautiful place and wines ❤️. We will be back!

Very thorough and tons of education!

Super tour - our guide was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent host. The atmospheric tasting room was had a crackling fire in the background which was most welcome on a cold mid-winter’s day. The sampling was a very nice choice of white and standard reds through to high end examples of their production. Highly recommended and superb value for money.

When we go for a wine tasting, we often skip the winery tour option, but we’re glad we didn’t this time. Serena knew every detail of the history and the wine making process and her presentation was fun, clear, and interesting! Add to that the fact that she delivered it in both English and Italian, and it’s even more impressive. She also made the experience a conversation, by asking us questions to connect with our knowledge. The wines are excellent, approachable, but complex as well. It is an expensive tasting, but it is absolutely worth it.

Staff, story and wine - super experience in beautiful surroundings. We felt very welcomed and were lucky enough to get a private tour.

An excellent experience, a wonderful tour of the history of wine and the Fuselli family's winemaking tradition. A very interesting blend of tradition and modernity. We were guided by a very knowledgeable guide, and we were able to learn about the entire winemaking process. The wines were very interesting, especially the Papeo, a slightly more extractive Vermentino than at other wineries in the Bolgheri area. The excellent Aldone Merlot, and my favorite, the Marchesale, a deep-set red with an interesting bouquet. Definitely a recommended trip.

Good english speaking host. Small vinyard, but good and very clean. Tastefull wines with bread /olive oil.

Beautiful grounds, informative and great wine. Gin and tonic served upon arrival was a nice added bonus and tasted amazing.

My three friends and I had a great time at the wine tasting! The tour was engaging and gave us a clear picture of the whole wine-making process, thanks to a friendly and knowledgeable (English speaking) guide. The surroundings are stunning — perfect for taking a few photos if you’re into that. We went for the classic tasting, which included three outstanding wines, each with its own unique tasteful character and story, served in a bright garden house with glass walls all around. Afterward, we could browse the shop and pick up a few bottles to take home, which we certainly did! ;) Highly recommend this place! P.S. They also have a premium wine package with five wines and aroma samples — I think I’ll try that one next time!

The location is stunning – the perfect setting to enjoy exceptional wines. Every glass we tried was outstanding, and you could really taste the passion and craftsmanship behind each one. The staff were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Seeing the excellent reviews from other visitors makes me wonder if we visited on an off day - regardless, this was the worst vineyard experience I’ve ever had. My sister and I were booked in by our hotel, so we were unaware of how expensive the tour was - €76 for both of us for an hour. We didn’t get to go into the vineyards or look at the vines (something I’ve never experienced on a vineyard tour before) and instead had some very basic information thrown at us inside one of the rooms by the tour guide before we were then hurried into the tasting room. My sister has a nut allergy which hadn’t been an issue anywhere else on our trip to Tuscany, but here she was told she was not allowed the panettone or bread as they both ‘had nuts in’ - which they definitely didn’t. Obviously she wouldn’t risk it, but the impression was definitely that the tour guide just couldn’t be bothered actually checking the ingredients or finding an alternative. She didn’t even offer a cursory apology. I came away knowing very little about the vineyard, the wines made here or the business and for €76 euro, it just wasn’t worth it.

We did the Classic Winery tour with tasting and had a fantastic time. Our host was knowledgeable and great company. The wines were just amazing. This is an experience worth doing if you have time when in Tuscany.

An amazing experience! I learned so much about how they produce their wines and the wine is amazing. The olive oil too was second to none. The staff are so helpful! We needed a taxi back to the hotel and we struggled to get one and Serena was so kind calling around everywhere to find us one and giving us wine while we waited. I can’t recommend this winery enough. Molto Grazie per tutti!

The tour was really interesting and we learned a lot! Our guide Serena was so friendly and she speaks english perfectly. She explained everything in detail and has a great sense of humour, too. We tasted three wines afterwards, they were all really good, so we also bought a bottle. The atmosphere is very nice and we had a nice chat with Serena and the other guests while drinking. I can definitely recommand this tour.

The Bolgheri Classic Wine Tasting with Winery Tour with SERENA was INCREDIBLE. She was so kind to me, my girlfriend, and our friends, she answered all of our questions, and she taught us so much about the process utilized at and history of the facility (the Terre del Marchesato). Our guide Irena was knowledgeable, friendly and communicated well in English. We enjoyed the wines and the olive oil. It was just the 4 of us with Irena so we were able to ask questions and felt like she was very comfortable explaining and answering questions. She also helped us by providing other information about other regions of Italy we will be visiting. Highly recommend the wine tasting and we enjoyed it so much we purchased wine before leaving.

The winery was beautiful and the server was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. However I didn’t give the tour a 5 because the name of the winery was not included in the reservation and we got lost trying to find it. We were 1.5 hours late. Thanks to the winery they were very understanding and allowed us to have it tasting. The serving were very small but the wine was excellent.

We booked this wine tour spontaneously; great value for money, nice winery, more detailed explanations of the production process and the aromas of the wines while tasting would have been appreciated.

We spontaneously booked the „CLASSIC“ wine tour for 1.5 hours at Terre del Marchesato. The winery itself was nice, friendly and well-spoken tour guide. A bit more information to the actual production process of the wines would have been nice. Also a more detailed explanation of the different aromas of the three wines would have been appreciated. Nevertheless it was a very good value for money!

Very friendly guide, short but lovely, nice tour. Perfect for guests with limited timebudget but interest in nice local wine other than the popular Tuscans. Charming venue, close to the coast, so very easy to reach in case one has had enough of salty seawater and could use a relaxing break.

Very lovely lady and a very interesting experience. Learnt a lot about Bolgheri wine and came away with some bottles to take home as the price is also very reasonable. Would definitely recommend

Very friendly and spoke English. Paula answered questions and very helpful to understand the wine process. We learned we could buy the wines in our areas of the USA. We tasted and enjoyed the calm and relaxing atmosphere around the winery. They emphasize the quality of the wine and not so much the quantity. I learned that the grapes are grow through natural farming methods instead in insecticides.

Had an absolutely fantastic winery tour, full of informative, interesting, and personalised discussions about how the wine is made. the experience felt like a giant family, and this could be seen with the staff, winery, environment and wine. We came as part of our honeymoon, and this was congratulated as soon as we were greated, which was a very kind touch. Price wise, the tour was incredibly reasonable. The wine was absolutley delicious, and we even bought a bottle of Aldone to lay down for our 5th anniversary! (If we can wait this long!)

We had a private tour of this quaint winery which was lovely. The people were warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about the wine making process. Also, the views of the mountain, fresh breeze, and greenery added to the beauty of being there. I enjoyed the experience and would recommend this place.

Amazing value for a wonderful tour and tasting experience. We were the only people booked for our time slot so it was a private tour and our host expanded on the history of winemaking in the region for us. Very cute and playful vineyard cat Viola kept us company while we sipped wine in the lush garden grounds. Delicious wines, we particularly enjoyed the whites and purchased a few bottles to take home. Very close to the coast & beach so be sure to stop by for a swim while you are in the area.

Had a wonderful time! A very thorough and knowledgeable tour with plenty of things to learn, a beautiful vineyard to tour through, a fairly priced gift shop, excellent homemade bread and (also homemade) olive oil. But of course, the main attraction, some of the tastiest wines I've had in all of Italy. The "Papeo" is to die for. All at a very fair price and in either English or Italian, be sure to stop for a tasting at Terre Del Marchesato! Ask for Paola!

We made our visit with Serena, who was rich of information and details (held in Italian and English for Spanish hosts). We asked to improve our experience with other 2 wines 100% cabernet (Tarabuso) and 100% merlot (Aldone). I really recommend the last one. We also tried their olive oil, fantastic. Enjoy your visit!

Beautiful place, tastfull wine and interesting story about the place. Our guide Marina was well-spoken english, very kind and flexible with time-booking. The best guide we have had tasting wine in Italy! We are newbies in wine but Marina explained the wine-making-process and story wery well and answered all of our questions. We did not drive to Italy, but if we had been able to bring wine back to Denmark we would have bought bottles of their white wine.

This tour could not have been better. I’m so genuinely impressed by our tour guide who had a plethora of knowledge around the topic of wine in general, the producer and their vineyard. We were guided through the vineyard, and then sat in a beautifully lit room that added to a great atmosphere for the tastings. During the tastings we were given three great samples of wine that were wonderful explained. The tour guide enthusiastically answered all of mine and my friends questions (and whilst also creating a comfortable conversational atmosphere. Our guide truly was so lovely and so knowledgeable about wine. My friend and I would recommend anyone, with experience of wine tastings or no prior knowledge of wine, to enjoy this artisanal adventure.

Enjoyed our tour, the guide was very enthousiastic and passionated about the process and history of the grove. Beautiful entourage coupled with the price-quality ratio made this trip a abbreviation for Everyone who visits this side of Italy!

We are a 35 yo Italian couple used to these tours, we really appreciate this kind of experience, and we enjoyed visiting Terre del Marchesato the most. It was not only for the professionalism of the guide and the different smells you can feel throughout, but obviously for the superior wine: we had the tour in one of the hottest summer days, tasting these amazing products they offer, and we never felt so good. Back in London we will sip our "Marchesale" in the attempt of a revival of this experience, willing to come back asap.
