A lovely location on the harbourside, but generally shabby. Breakfast was awful and not worth the money. Mouldy bathroom.
Very unfriendly personal!!! we went to the reception and the lady was on her phone and didnt even lookup to speak to us. Definitely ho somewhere else!
The hotel's location is its main advantage. It's centrally located and only about a 15-minute walk from the ferry terminal, making it convenient for travelers arriving by or departing on the ferry. Unfortunately, the property itself feels quite run down and in need of renovation. The bathroom shower showed signs of mold, and the overall condition of the room did not match what I would expect from a hotel of this category. The biggest issue was the shower. While the water pressure initially seemed fine, turning on the hot water caused the pressure to drop dramatically. As a result, guests are forced to choose between a hot shower with very weak water flow or a strong stream of water that is uncomfortably cold. I booked as a solo traveler and was assigned a room with a single bed. While that in itself is not a problem, it would have been helpful if the hotel had made this clear in advance. A single room is not equivalent to a standard double room, and I believe the pricing should reflect that difference. Another major issue was the noise. The windows closed properly, but they provided very little sound insulation. Throughout the night I could clearly hear motorcycles and traffic from the street below. As a result, I slept very poorly and did not have a restful stay. Overall, despite the convenient location, I did not enjoy my stay. The combination of the outdated facilities, poor shower experience, lack of soundproofing, and disappointing room quality outweighed the hotel's advantages. If I return to Livorno in the future, I would choose to stay elsewhere.
Lovely and clean. A few decor issues like broken floor tiles and could do with a lick of paint- but beautifully, classic Italian style with a comfortable bed and great air con/ heater in the room. I enjoyed hanging out the window to people watch from my room on Halloween 🎃. I have to say- my evening meal at the hotel restaurant was incredible. Huge bowl of perfectly cooked pasta, fresh light flavourful fried cod to die for with fresh lemon, and the best tiramasu I have ever had. Im not particularly a foody, but every mouthful was stunning.
