Zambezi River Class 5- Whitewater Rafting- Half Day With Lunch

Julius, Windas, and Alfred took us out on the water for a fantastic day of rafting! We were three friends who joined three other rafters, making six of us in the raft, plus Julius, our instructor. Julius manoeuvred the raft like a pro and made sure we didn’t flip through any of the rapids. Great energy and atmosphere among the team throughout the day! Windas was there in the safety kayak, while Alfred snapped some great photos of us along the way. There were also plenty of opportunities to jump into the river for a swim or simply drift along with the current to cool down between the rapids, which was a great bonus! After the rafting, the rest of the River Runners Adventures team made sure we had cold drinks and a nice meal to refuel before heading back to Livingstone. Pick-up and drop-off at our accommodation were also included, making the whole experience easy and hassle-free. Highly recommend going rafting with the River Runners team! Professional, fun, and genuinely lovely people. The rafting is an amazing experience, and the gorge is absolutely stunning!

Had a great time rafting. Only company running trips at that level. 1 raft and two safety kayakers. I knew exactly what to expect. Raft guide was knowledgeable and put us exactly where we needed to be in the river. At that level... swimming would not be safe. As a paddler... I was very impressed with the entire experience and professionalism. Hike in and out was amazing. Hiking out I was a bit afraid of heights... and the guys stayed with me encouraging me to keep going. There was beer and tacos at the end... and a really cool viewing spot. I highly suggest for both rafting and kayaking.

A great ride with fantastic guides! The guys are very experienced and the camping is fun and in a beautiful place. The food is lovely and they hire people from the villages.

I had the best trip with Jonathan and River Runner Adventures. I signed up last minute the evening before and was surprised with how lovely the trip was. We were picked up and had lunch by the river. While at lunch, I asked if the cooler had any diet sodas and unfortunately there weren’t any. However, when I was picked up from the river, I had two beers and a diet soda ready for me. They were attentive and gave me the best experience, I highly recommend this company and the experience.

A fantastic experience on the Zambezi river, wouldn't have done it with anyone else. Watching another group flip twice, while we stayed afloat the whole way through. Rough waters but with an excellent guide it seemed smooth sailing. Thanks Jonathan and the team for an amazing experience I will not forget too soon.

Crew is so nice and supportive and suuuuper profesional. Food, snucks aaand of course crazy rapids on the might Zambezi river make it something I will remember for whole life. It can’t be explained how integrating for me and my friends this experience was. One of the best adventures I ever had. Do I need to mention that sights from the bottom of river are breath taking?

I’d just advise that it’s a bit of a hike down to the river and then back up again, but if you’re reasonably fit it’s no problem

What an amazing and memorable trip. The setting was the best we have come across (and we have rafted a fair bit) and the team, led by Jonathan, was just excellent - safe, fun, knowledgeable, courteous. They even served us amazing Halal beef wraps! Can’t recommend enough and all best wishes to the team.

Jonathon runs a great company. I came to Livingstone solo and was looking to go kayaking. I spent 10 days with the crew paddling everything from #1 down, it was an amazing experience! Very well run, fun guides made running the river easy. Best whitewater company on the Zambezi hands down.

Great views of the Zambezi river. Fantastic guide (Domenic) helped us to identify various bird and wild animal varieties. His guidance throughout the day was invaluable, steering us clear of any animal and river hazards along the way. Johnathan (business owner), Domenic and the rest of the team involved were extremely welcoming and fun to be with. Do not miss the opportunity to see this very special part of Africa from a very unique perspective. I would highly recommend getting in contact with these guys and booking your very own front seat view of a very special part of the world.

My friends and I did a half day rafting trip with River Runner Adventures and we had the best time! Our guide was helpful and made sure that we all were safe, but also had a fun time. Would highly recommend a rafting trip with them if you are able!

This was an amazing rafting trip down the Zambezi! Our guides were experienced and friendly, kept everyone's safety and enjoyment in mind. We had opportunity to swim some of the rapids and the lunch provided was fresh and delicious. 10/10 recommend!

We had a fantastic time on our rafting adventure. Johnathan was super accommodating for our needs and created a special rafting trip just for us. The food was amazing. Especially the carrot muffins! Our guide James was great fun and marvelous at his job. Kenny did an amazing job at kayaking and making sure we were safe. We would have loved to do more but the river levels didn't allow. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an adventure!

I had an amazing experience rafting on the Zambezi river with River Runner Adventures. The guides really took care of me. I felt extremely safe the whole time. The guild told us all about each rapid as we were coming up to it, and how we needed to attack it. Encouraging us to jump in and swim in the river to enjoy the full experience. They were on time for pick up and drop off. To and from my accommodation. The lunch we had after the trip was delicious. This day will be a great memory to have! Many thanks to all involved. Excellent company, providing zambezi activities. I did the kayaking and pool swimming under the waterfall and it was spectacular, I cannot recommend it more!!

My girlfriend and I did the rafting and sunset cruise with River Runners. We had an amazing day on the water. We loved it so much we decided to extend our stay in Livingstone for another 6 days to learn kayaking. Thanks to Jonathan and his experienced team we had an incredible ride down the Zambezi. After climbing down to the river we could swim right under the Falls. Going down the rapids was great fun. Our captain had the boat under control and his instructions made me feel safe. After the ride we enjoyed a tasty lunch with drinks.

Excellent service from Jonathan and his team. Our captain Nyando was informative and gave instructions on time for me to feel comfortable during my first raft. Our kayak guard Kennedy gave lovely rides to me when i got carried by the stream. The chef cooked us a very healthy lunch and we cracked some beers open upon arrival. All in all top day ❤️

It was simply amazing! Pure fun. Being able to swim under the falls and see them that close was insane. If you are in decent physical condition I would recommend it 100% (some passages are quite tricky but no need to have an athletic condition to do this activity)

It is simply one of the greatest and most beautiful experiences of my life. Our guide, Alex, is a true river god — a modern Poseidon. It inspires total confidence: it protects, it guides, it anticipates. He knows the river as if it were in his blood. His energy, his stories, his way of managing each rapid, each team, each emotion... it is pure art. You feel that he loves what he does deeply, and that changes everything. The rapids of Zambezi are among the Top 3 in the world, and we understand why! Strong sensations, magnificent landscapes, adrenaline, laughter and suspended moments: everything is there. But beyond the descent, it is a human adventure that marks forever. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Alex, for his kindness, generosity, and all his team — Jeremy, Jonathan, and everyone else. Superb rafting descent with a very pro captain and very nice .. kayak team with us in case .. it is very eventful but very secure I highly recommend but rather to the good swimmer

Fantastic experience from start to finish! Get picked up at the hotel and driven to the river! Good security demo, gentle and friendly people and proper equipment! Amazing fun rafting experience! Experienced guides. Fantastic lunch after the rafting. Will eventually be driven back to the hotel. All in all a 10/10 day. Can highly recommend River Runner Adventure!!

Incredibly good experience, with great instructors and staff. A day I'll never forget. Get picked up where we're driving to where we're going. And drove home again. We brought the Sunset Cruise package. Something to recommend. 10/10 layout
