The walking safari has been nice with Mr misheck.i enjoyed every bit of it.mr misheck was so educative to me and he's really good at his job.
The experience was amazing. We got to see 5 of the white rhinos u close and personal. We then continued in the jeep to see many zebras, giraffes, and numerous other animals. Our guide was Skinny and he was fabulous and very knowledgeable which greatly enhanced the safari. Would take tour again.
From pick up from our Livingstone hotel, And rhino park safari walk was an excellent experience. We got to see 7 of the rhinos in the park. Very happy with the tour guides.
We had an amazing experience, the guide was very helpful.
We had an absolutely amazing experience on the Rhino Walk safari in Zambia! Our guide, Misheck, was fantastic, very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the wildlife, and our driver, Alex, did an excellent job throughout the tour. We got to see so many animals, including zebras, giraffes, elephants, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, impalas, monkeys, and many more. The whole experience was unforgettable, and Misheck and Alex made it even more special with their professionalism and enthusiasm. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Zambia!
It was really a wonderful trip, very educative with amazing refreshment... the tour guid was on point in explaining everything
The experience is extraordinary the picnic area is serene
This Rhino walking safari was our first activity of our holiday which was in the morning and what a first good experience this was. There was 3 of us in our party. We had with us an armed guard and a knowledgeable guide .We learnt so much and saw so much. There is only 9 rhinos in Zambia and poachers try to get them for their horns but the armed guards are there to protect the rhinos 24 7. We saw a mum and calf and then saw both parents and a calf. There was oxpecker birds on them. We where so close but a respectful distance. Before we came across the rhinos we saw lots of lovely birds and looking at the beautiful scenery. We stopped to talk about things and to take plenty of photos. In 2 years time we are returning to Africa and we will be booking the rhino walking safari again. I cant wait to go back. I have been telling people back home that they need to go.
Steve from African Safari Experience was excellent! He booked us (a family of 4) in multiple activities whilst spending a day in Livingston, Zambia. The Rhino walking tour with two highly experienced guides was amazing! We went on a game drive, saw elephants, variety of birds, impala then went on a walk in search of the rhinos. We saw a herd of Zebras then a group of 7 rhinos resting under a tree. This experience with the family was incredible! Steve also went to buy Gluten Free snacks for our son who is Coeliac in between activities. So very thoughtful and very appreciative! Thank you Steve! Highly recommend Steve and African Safari Experiences.
What a wonderful experience we enjoy. The tour started with a game drive seeing the usual animals on an African safari. The guide was knowledgeable and happy to stop for photos along the way. We collected a guard half way and then continued on foot. This was so incredible to be walking through the park and finding the Rhino. Zambia has 11 rhino, and the park had 9. It was a privilege to see 7 of them. All resting. All beautiful. Such incredible animals from close us. And on foot made it incredibly special. What a wonderful tour!!!
We did a walking safari for about 2 hrs culminating in seeing the white rhino! It was awesome! The guide, driver, and wildlife ranger were all excellent as was the owner Steve who picked us up! It was our first walking safari and we learned so much about the plants, local uses of plants in cooking and medicine, saw some animals! Highly highly recommend! When doing research online this was the only company we found that offered a walking safari (but could just be me!). Happy to have chosen this company and loved our outing!
The Stanley Livingstone Preserve is a 15,000 acre private reserve. Keep that in mind, because there is no guarantee you'll see any particular species. It's the bush, the animals are free to roam and they have a lot of space to do it. Our experience was storybook. Sikhulu (sp?) was an amazing guide. The shared knowledge about the animals was terrific. The coordination between the four tours taking place meant we knew exactly where to go if there was a sighting. For our safari, we scored big. 5 of the 11 rhinos on the preserve, zebras, giraffes, roan, kudu, baboons, mongoose, and to top it off we watched a pack of painted dogs hunt a roan. It was amazing. Keep in mind that there are no guarantees in the bush, but these people are top notch and it could well be the highlight of an amazing visit.
Absolutely amazing experience getting to see rhinos so up close. Our guide Friday was amazing and made sure we got every angle and learned more about the bush.
This should be the top rated activity in Zambia! We had the absolute best time. We got to see 8 rhinos up close- even a baby. Our guide Friday was also wonderful. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Sensational trip that encompassed so much. The Falls. The river. The Rhinos. The Parks. Absolutely amazing. Thanks. The Rhinos are so amazing and cute- you could wait there all day but ofcourse you can't. The Rangers look over the whole ting very well, I must say.
We had a wonderful 5 days with Steve and his employees.Steve is vibrant and is constantly working! He makes you feel very welcome and just makes you feel like a long lost friend! Steve and Misheck picked us up from airport. Showed us around Livingstone and later Steve took us to a place to eat that was wonderful and along the river. Our days included: a hike around Victoria Falls on the Zambia side and the experience of a boat ride to Livingstone Island with Devil’s Pool, a must! Later we visited an African cultural village. Next day we explored Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwe side. Another hike along the rim and the most beautiful! Then lunch at the famous Victoria Falls Hotel, built in 1904. Later in the evening we boarded a boat for a ride on the Zambezi River and saw more wild life, like hippos! One morning we went to a wild lion reserve and lucked out to see them all around a pool of water! We also were blessed to go into Mosi-oa-Tanya NP on a walking Safari to see the amazing White Rhinos and a baby one too! Another evening my husband went to an orphaned elephant preserve. He said it was amazing and he was able to feed them! Our days with Steve and his team (Misheck, Vinnie, Sandie, Friday & Nick) were wonderful. These are the highlights I mention but it was so much more! Steve works with you once you are there…you already have an itinerary but he gives you even more options to experience a once in a lifetime trip! Thank you Steve and team for giving us the best of Zambia/Zimbabwe and so many awesome memories! And Steve, thank you for the coins! 😘
Had a fantastic time and unlike other safari companies in Livingstone, you get a guide and a driver so have two knowledgeable pairs of eyes on the lookout for wildlife. The walking safari is a unique chance to study animal tracks and learn about other aspects of the bush and culminates in being able to experience the rhinos up close and personal.
It was our first walking safari, and at the beginning we had a few safety concerns. Steve (the owner) immediately reassured us with a detailed explanation of the itinerary and answered all our questions quickly over the phone. • Excellent communication & organization • Knowledgeable and friendly guide (Mr. Friday) & driver • Clean, comfortable transport • Tasty snacks • Felt very safe: no predators like lions, always kept a 40m distance from the rhinos, and were accompanied by both an armed ranger and our guide We started at the Zambian border and were conveniently dropped off at our hotel in Livingstone. Highly recommended — we’d definitely book with Steve again!
Well planned visit to Mosi oa Tunya NP in Zambia. Nice park. Worth to visit. Gifts was our guide, polite, helpful and knowledgeable.
Walking in the national park. Identify plants and trees used for medicinal purposes. Identify foot prints, tracking signs. The guide was very informative. All questions were answered in detail. A beautiful easy walk.
The Bush medicine walk combined with the rhino walk was well worth it. To experience the majestic rhino close up was brilliant. We not only talked about trees and plants but even little things in the bush. Thank you to Vincent our guide who was very interesting to talk to.
Amazing experience with very knowledgeable guides who looked after us impeccably. Food and drinks were provided after the bush walk.
What a fantastic experience walking through the African bush and seeing so many animals along the way like Elephabts, giraffes and zebras as we learned all about animal tracks . We tracked the stunning white rhinos and saw 7 of them close up whilst safely in the company of our African Safari Experience guide . Thank you Connie and Vinnie ! Highly recommended to everyone !
We booked all our safaris through African Safari Experience. We did a walking safari seeing the rhinos in Livingstone and also a 3 day/2night camping safari in Botswana (Chobe). Everything was seamless booking through these guys, with pick ups and drop offs back to our accommodation. The main part of our holiday was wanting to do safaris and it made for the best holiday I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t hesitate to book through these guys again and would recommend them to anyone travelling to Livingstone who wants to get everything organised stress free. Thank you for an incredible experience.
Walking in the bush in Livingstone to find rhinos isn’t just a safari, it’s a masterclass in awe. No noisy engines, no glass windows—just the crunch of your boots, whispers of the wild, and the thrill of knowing you’re on their turf. Then, there they are: the white rhinos. Massive, majestic, and entirely unbothered by our presence (though I can’t say my heartbeat agreed). Watching these gentle giants roam freely is humbling—like witnessing a prehistoric miracle wrapped in armour and serenity. The guides? Sharp-eyed, knowledgeable, and probably part-rhino themselves, judging by how seamlessly they navigate the bush. It’s the kind of experience that leaves you wondering: ‘Did I just see that, or was it a dream?’ If you’re in Livingstone and skip this, you’re missing more than rhinos—you’re missing magic.”
I loved this walking safari so much being one with nature as our Guide and ranger explained all about animal tracks and bush medicine remedies whilst we saw lots of birds and animals such as wildebeest, buffalo, Impala and giraffes. The best part of the trip was extended time seeing 9 white rhinos from a close but safe distance !
The bush walking safari in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park with ASE, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. What stood out the most was how knowledgeable our guide Friday was – their expertise about the trees, plants, and the park’s ecosystem was truly impressive. The park’s beauty, combined with Friday’s passion and deep understanding, made this experience so enriching. I learned so much. I can’t wait to do it again. If you’re looking for an immersive, educational, and unique safari experience, a bush walk in Mosi-oa-Tunya is an absolute must!
This was such an awesome experience. Not only is it cool to see rhinos up close (I didn’t get to see any when I did a safari in Tanzania) but walking to see them was even more exciting. They arranged everything including pickup and drop off which was seamless and very helpful when we had limited WiFi and communication services. The rhinos seemed so calm and unbothered which showed me how well they were cared for and unthreatened by a human presence. The babies were the cutest ❤️ would definitely do again!
My daughter and I had a fantastic half day jeep safari and White Rhino walk with our guide Friday and driver Givn. They gave us as much time as we wanted to study the animals and take photos and we’re very knowledgable. It was also good to see how much they cared about the animals always giving them space and respect. Amazing that it is so close to Livingstone too. It was definitely a highlight of our trip to Zambia. Thank you Friday and Givn.
Very good! I recommend. Perfect experience with my five kids! Excellent staff and amazing animals.
It was amazing to see all the different animals. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras and a lot of different kind of antelopes. And of course the incredible rhinos in the fantastic nature!
The walking safari is a completely different experience . I have been on the Jeep but this is different . You need to do it to experience it … try it you will love it
A really amazing experience. I was a bit anxioys about walkung in such dangeroys areas but the guides were superb and took us through step by stepin delivering an exhillarating time. I recommend it highly.
A great experience being on foot in a national park. You learn so much and have that excitement of what you will come across. Superb guide and wildlife officer make the experience completely safe. Never thought poop and tracks could be so fascinating.
Seeing the Rhinos in the wild was one of the most humbling experiences I have ever had. African Safari Experience were fantastic and very informative. A must do when visiting Livingstone.
I highly recommend this once in a lifetime opportunity to get close to animals and fully appreciate their environment. The highlight was seeing white rhino. The guides were amazing and ensured we felt safe and much better informed throughout the experience.
Because it was really hot this day our guide brought a lot of water and drinks for us. We took it slow and drove some parts and walked others. We never felt unsafe in the park. Walking to see the rhino's was definitely the highlight of the day. The park rangers are always watching the rhino's and know their behavior well. Because they know how to approach the animals you can get really really close. Mommy rhino wasn't even worried about her little one and let us take some amazing pictures. Our guide was really nice and knew a lot about the park and the animals. We learned a lot that day and enjoyed ourselves!
