This is a great value for your money. My guides Mike and Nana were kind and knowledgeable, and created a memorable experience. We saw several large animals in just 3 hours! It is very convenient for people visiting Livingstone with a tight time constraint.
Our sunrise game drive and rhino trek with Mike and Lucky was phenomenal. Lucky was the perfect driver, and Mike was full of facts about animals, birds, plants, and Zambian culture. Not only were the guides excellent, but we really appreciated the way this company confirmed pick-up 24 hours in advance and arrived right on time. They exceeded our expectations in every way, and we highly recommend them to other travelers.
Awesome experience to get up close to see the rhinos. The guide had a very sharp eye locating animals. The company was vey flexible as you my pick up and drop off
This safari was amazing! Our guides, Mike and Lucky, were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. They took extra time to ensure that we experienced all of the African wildlife. I highly recommend taking a trip with this team!
Fantastic experience being so close to the Rhinos on foot, friendly guide / driver and very knowledgable (thanks Mike and Lucky), Highly recommend.
We had such an enjoyable time on the safari game drive. After leaving our hotel, we quickly made our way into the national park and immediately began seeing animals. We saw impala, warthogs, giraffe (including the cutest baby giraffe), hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, all kinds of birds. And the best part of the trip was trekking into the bush to see the rhinos! The morning of our safari the other guides were having issues tracking down the rhinos, but our guides were very kind and said that we weren't leaving until we were able to find them. Eventually they did find them and our guides quickly took us to them. We were able to see 6 female rhinos, one of which was a baby! Highly recommend!
We had the most amazing time, an unforgettable experience. Our guide Cacious was extremely knowledgeable and very comical. We would also like to express our immense to Chrismar Hotel for the 5-star hospitality!
Great to see untamed rhinos in their natural habitat. The guides were knowledgeable and we felt safe seeing all the animals on the same game drive. Impala, zebra, elephants, rhinos, giraffe etc. Highly recommended Dewclaw Eco Tours.
Had a great time and saw lots of animals. Cacious was very knowledgeable about everything in the park. He even modified the excursion to fit my airport agenda that day.
Excellent knowledge on the animals in the game park. Would definitely recommend them to everyone..
Great professional service from our two guides and the park ranger. We saw zebra giraffe Cape buffalo hippo baboon
Mike and Casious were wonderful tour guides! We saw so many different animals and they were able to educate us on the animals and environment which made it so much more interesting! We got to see a group of 5 white rhinos!
Had an amazing private safari and rhino walk tour with them. Lacken was very nice and very flexible to accommodate all my requests. Would recommend it to anyone out there
Cacious, the guide was passionate about conservation and made the experience a memory I will always keep. Was most enjoyable excursion on this trip and topped off the game drive with the Rhino Walk. Again, totally memorable experience and my appreciation to the Rangers as well.
Mike & Cacious were amazing tour guides, their knowledge of the park and their kindness and professionalism was outstanding!! I was a solo traveler and felt so safe with them, we had a lot of fun and Cacious stopped many times for photo opportunities!!! We had a lovely picnic by the Zambezi and the park was quiet with not many tourists!!! It was a spectacular experience and we saw so many different animals!!! I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Victoria falls! It’s a MUST DO!!! Thanks guys and keep in touch!!! Please tip generously!!!
This was my 3rd time and I loved it each time. Even in the dry season expect to see a variety of animals. The mid morning breakfast was delicious.
We were guided by Brian and Cacious who were friendly and knowledgeable. We saw many animals in a short period of time before heading for the Rhinos. We felt safe and well informed, the kids loved the experience and none of us will ever forget it.
The drive and rhino walk were fantastic - we saw many different animals, and the guides (Brian and Caciuos) were experienced and knowledgable but also good fun with some jokes and laughs as well. For the rhino walk we felt incredibly privileged to get so close, with safe escort, to a group of white rhinos.
Can't recommend Mike and Cacious of Dewclaw Eco tours enough! They made the experience wonderful, and delivered on showing 4 of the "ugly five" plus elephants, warthogs, baboons, WHITE rhinos, impala, zebras, giraffes, several birds/fishes and HIPPOS!! And they were a lot of fun too 😀 We were able book completely online the night before, they confirmed with a WhatsApp text right away. On time picking us up, and provided everything that was listed in the description. 10/10, highly recommend!
I took a 3 hour safari with Cacious. He worked hard to meet my priorities and there were so many bonuses along the way. He was well connected with other guides and I saw impala, zebra hippo, elephant, warthog, baboons, bush bark, white back vultures, wildebeest, marup storks gifarre, rhinoceros and more. A great morning out in the local park.
We had an awesome family rhino safari! We did a roughly three-hour drive in the Mosi-oa-tunya Park. Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable, including about the many animals inside the park (elephant, zebra, giraffe, buffalo, birds). We specifically came to see the rhinos after having spent the prior week touring the South Luangwa (where there are no rhinos). Mike and our driver, Mr. K, taught us a few things we hadn’t learned about the animals in South Luangwa. YOU WILL SEE RHINOS! There are about a dozen in the park. We also saw a baby, and it was gratifying to see this sub-species making a small comeback, and the care taken by those at the park. We were very pleased by our experience and glad to support an operator who evidently cares about conservation and guest experience. Booking was a breeze and the cost was reasonable. If you want to explore the Mosi-oa-tunya Park, we highly recommend Dewclaw Eco Tours!
We had a perfect day out and did the Rhino game drive in the PM after the Devils Pool Tour in the AM ( booked through Dewclaw although they do not run the tour). Arrangements and inquiries about the tours and bookings were handled promptly by Inonge via whatsapp. We were staying in Vic Falls in Zimbabwe but they picked us up right from the Zimbabwe/Zambia border post after clearing immigration and sent us back as part of the tours. They can also help to arrange transfers within Zimbabwe to get to the border post and back to Vic Falls if that is required at additional costs. Pick up was on time, and everything went smoothly, they also sent us to a nice restaurant in between the 2 tours. Mosi-a Tunya National Park is relatively small compared to other national parks/reserves in Zambia and has no predators so it is more for those who have not done any multi day- safaris in Zambia/Zimbabwe /Botswana. However as part of the Rhino game drive , we got to see other coagulates , antelopes , vervet monkeys, warthogs, birds etc in the national parks. Our guides (apologies , forgot their names) were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about wildlife and their behaviors and could answer all our questions. The Rhino walk was pretty cool as we got up close to see a family of 9 rhinos include 2 juveniles and 1 that was suckling. What was also special was that in the evening sunset, we saw a herd of elephants crossing the Zambezi river from Zimbabwe to Zambia in around 20 minutes. I really liked that the tour was supposed to be for only 3 hours, but they were in absolutely no rush and gave us the opportunity to view and video this amazing spectacle. In all it was a wonderful experience and a perfect day out.
Went to the park in the morning. Saw the rhinos and took many pictures with phone and camera. After the rhinos went to see other animals as zebras, antillopes and giraphes. The only regret is that wasn't lucky enough to catch a hippo although we heard on quite near.
This was a fantastic experience. Brian and his driver were great guides providing insight in to the animals we encountered as well as the history of the park and surroundings. The highlight was when we were able to get out of the vehicle and walk 100 yards with the game rangers to see the White Rhino from about 20 yards away.
Very enjoyable and exciting to find animals in the wild. The highlight is to be able to be escorted to go very near to rhinos. Professional rangers and safety for us was well kept. We did not encroach into the wild animals space.
It was a fantastic game view. We managed to view the white rhino and learn about the history of the game reserve, the local community, and the missionaries who arrived in Livingstone.
It’s was wonderful experience We all love that, especially kids were impressed. Looking forward coming back here. And glad having Dewclaw Eco Tours contacts here
The safari was truly amazing. We were lucky that it was just the two of us that booked the tour for the morning, so we ended up having a private tour. Driving through the National Park was so beautiful and so peaceful. And we saw sooo many of the animals. It was very special to be able to watch all these animals in their natural surroundings. The guides that drove with us were extremely friendly and knew a lot about the animals and the history of the park. We strongly recommend doing a tour with them, it for sure was worth the money!!
Best Game drive I have been on! The Drivers and Guides were great and the park is absolutely beautiful! Such an enjoyable experience! Would recommend it anyone who admires nature.
Absolutely fantastic afternoon trip. Guide really informative and saw every animal they have in the park! Highlights included seeing several groups of giraffes & walking with rangers to see the white rhino. Can’t recommend enough!
An unforgettable experience! We went on a rhino game drive with my family, and it exceeded all our expectations. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating insights about the rhinos and their habitat. We were lucky to see these magnificent animals up close, which was truly breathtaking. The scenery was stunning, and the entire experience was well-organized and family-friendly. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique and educational adventure!
This was so much more than Rhinos - seeing the rare rhinos was awesome - but this tour was SO much more. We saw giraffes, zebras, elephants (of course), baboons, monkeys, and more. Lucky is an awesome guide. I highly recommend this tour.
We were in Zambia as a family (2 adults & 1 child) for almost 2 weeks in August/September. We spent the first 5 days there with the Dewclaw team! And what can we say: everything was great! From the Victoria Falls to the Rhino drive and the days we spent together in the Lower Zambezi National Park, we have nothing but wonderful memories! Lacken and Bright simply did a great job. They are both extremely knowledgeable and had answers to all our questions (and there really were many). It was so much fun to spend these days with them! And in addition to the fantastic country of Zambia, the two guides from Dewclaw are another reason why we will definitely be back to discover the many other corners of Zambia! Thank you again for the wonderful and unforgettable days in Zambia!!!!
Wonderful experience, rhinos were a highlight, but we saw many different animals. Lucky was our tour guide he is awesome, highest possible recommendation.
After spending an entire week in the Okavango Delta on game drives and river cruises, we decided we couldn’t complete our trip without viewing the fifth animal of the Big Five. And we don’t regret it! Bright, our guide for the morning, picked us up from our hotel and drove us straight to the national park to the magnificent white rhinoceros. Once we had got close enough with our safari vehicle we were even allowed to step out of the car and walk up to them in single file to get a closer look. What an impressive scenery to see a baby rhino suckling milk from its mum and then (seemingly) smiling and drooling at us when it was done feeding! Armed rangers live in the park and stand guard for 24 hours to keep the precious rhinos safe from poachers. At this point in time, nine healthy white rhinos are living in the park thanks to the protection of these rangers. Bright is very knowledgeable about wildlife and gave us a lot of background information about animals’ behaviours, eating habits, and living habits. He is highly enthusiastic and even reached out to us afterward our tour to provide in-depth answers to some of our questions. A truly amazing encounter with rhinos!
Absolutely worth every dollar. I would recommend this tour company (Dewclaw) for their integrity, their follow through and their commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction. Due to the fact that we booked a few hours before it was scheduled, they did not arrive at 8 am. Instead, after calling, they sent another vehicle just for us at 9 am. The guide, Chilubi, was knowledgable and was excellent! We saw the rhinos and learned about the historic nature of the park (Livingstone city was once inside the park). We had the whole vehicle to ourselves. Dewclaw followed up after our trip to see how it went. Who does that? I told them that TripAdvisor double billed us and that I had initiated a refund. Dewclaw kept in touch to make sure we received the refund. I would not hesitate using Dewclaw for this and other tours. Thank you for making our journey a memorable one. And Chilubi, I hope one day you can make it to America and see a grizzly bear!
Amazing game drive! Our guide Bright made sure he went the extra mile to make everybody happy and we spotted everything we were hoping for. It’s also fantastic to see how Zambia’s efforts with the White Rhinos are bearing fruits and the population is growing!
Another wonderful game drive with Dew Claw. Bright our guide was fantastic at finding the animals. We saw a mommy and baby hippo out of the water, 2 different young elephants with their moms, other elephants trumpeting and breaking trees just down the road, a young giraffe after being startled by us then ducking behind a tree and peeking out to see if we were still there. We also saw the water buffalo up close! We used to do self drives but in one morning we see more with Dew Claw than all day by our selves. The icing on the cake is getting out of the vehicle to see the rino!!!!! Highly recommend Dew Claw - friendly knowledgeable staff, on time professional service.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging with the group. The tour operator went above and beyond with accommodating our needs. I appreciate that they were reliable, friendly, and detail oriented.
Great guides full of information. Amazing experience walking so close to the rhinos, as well as seeing elephants, zebras, giraffe, wart hogs and many more animals
A group of us traveling to Zambia from the USA in May had the pleasure of an early morning safari with Dewclaw. The guides were excellent in spotting animals and were very knowledgeable about them. We appreciated their willingness to stop whenever an animal or bird was spotted, never rushing us to drive on. We saw every animal we wished to see. Getting fairly close pictures of us with the two rhinos was a big hit! The baboons and head-butting giraffes were great fun to watch. I would highly recommend Dewclaw for your Zambian safari!
Great rhino game drive- very professional guides and excellent service. I would hire the same company again.
Wow! Amazing experience This was not my first visit to the park but this visit was made special and unique by Deeclaw Eco Tours & Safaris. Guides were spot on with finding animals, excellent customer care, guides were very pleasant , guides had massive animal and eco knowledge. Guides had attention to detail. They brought the vibe. We saw elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, warthogs, lechwe, red billed horn bills , fish eagle, vultures, matebele ants, dung beetles in a pile of elephant poop (yes how exciting right 😆) and the highlight was spending time and mere few metres away, with mother rhino Jessie and her daughter cute Mukupa. This amazing experience was courtesy to the duo guide team by the names of Bright and Obert. Next time I am in Livingstone, I am trying out the walking safari with this team. See you next time 😀
We had a great game drive with Dewclaw -- they coordinate with the Rhino monitoring team to make sure you can see some of the 11 rhinos in the park. It was a beautiful day and we also saw zebras, giraffe and a group of elephants. And of course so many beautiful birds. Our guide was informative and responsive -- and even was able to navigate getting stuck in the mud once. We enjoyed the trip and would recommend if you have the time while in Vic Falls / Livingstone area.
We did a Rhino Game Drive with Dewclaw and it was such a great experience. As we were staying in Zimbabwe and had quite a tight schedule (flight departing at 13:00), we asked Dewclaw to organize a tour with pick up from our lodge in Zimbabwe and take us directly to the VFA airport after the tour. Communication was effective and Dewclaw organized everything according to our wishes. A driver picked us up at 6:30 in the morning as agreed and took us to the Zambian border post, where we were greeted by our guide from Dewclaw, Bright. We had a great private game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya NP with Bright and saw e.g. hippos, zebras & giraffes. After the game drive, we went to see rhinos by foot (accompanied by a park ranger) and it was an amazing experience to see rhinos from such a short distance. After the tour, we were brought to the Zambian border post and greeted by another driver who took us to the airport on the Zimbabwean side. All in all, highly recommended tour operator and tour, even if you stayed in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Everything went as planned and we got to the airport on time. Bright is a highly knowledgeable and friendly guide, thumbs up for him and Dewclaw Eco Tours!
Very good experience, friendly and punctual stuff.. Tour guide was very friendly and punctual, very knowledgeable about the animals and historical sites, would highly recommend 👍
It was beautiful And the tour guy very knowledgeable Managed to get good photos and manage to see lots of animals
Excellent small local company. Bright, our guide, is very passionate and knowledgeable. He is able to give information on animal behaviour and the ecology of the region and is a great advocate for nature. It was a pleasure to have him take us around the beautiful park. Thank you for answering all our questions.
Very good service - they tried to make my stay as comfortable as they could. Particularly safari was great- private and calm - great guide
