Devil's Pool Livingstone Island Tour

Simply amazing! An exhilarating experience at Angel’s Pool. The water was running fast and deep, making Devil’s Pool inaccessible, but that only added to the sense of adventure. The facilities and boat transfers were excellent, and the guides were outstanding throughout — calm, professional, and absolutely clear with their instructions. Despite the obvious risks, we felt completely safe in their hands, even though it was undeniably a very scary experience at times - looking over the edge in fast running water. Afterwards, high tea on the island was a real treat, enjoyed with spectacular views over the Falls. Even the WC had its own “loo with a view,” which perfectly summed up the setting!

WOW!! Such a breathtaking experience. Went with our 10-year old daughter and she loved it. The staff is super friendly and they make you feel very safe. You absolutely must do this!

One of the best things I have ever done. Despite a lot of water flowing over the falls we felt completely safe and very well looked after. We were fortunate enough to be the only two in our group so had plenty of time to sit and experience the angels pool, it was a really special experience and the breakfast after was sensational! An absolute must if you are visiting Victoria Falls and I would highly recommend this company.

Owen’s team took care of us, to include last minute changes to reservations, last-minute airport service, and assistance getting across the border to Zimbabwe for activities. We recommend them to all of our friends.

Our group of 4 had an incredible time on this tour. From the pick up to the lunch and the actual experience in the falls, we had a great time. The food was amazing and the staff for all portions of the tour were very friendly, professional and accommodating. They made safety a top priority and gave a rundown of what to do/expect. Being in the falls was more than we could have expected and I'd love the chance to do this tour again.

This was absolutely incredible. We never felt unsafe at all and the guys really know what they are doing. They used our own cameras and took amazing pictures. Even people that couldn’t swim participated and felt safe. This was the highlight of our trip and I recommend it for everyone. For Avani and Royal Livingstone guests they even drop you off at the dock so you can walk back. This was a thrill that is appropriate for everyone. Get over your fears and try it. You won’t regret it.

Wow!! We were in awe with the magnitude of the falls and seeing them from the top! It’s breathtaking and actually mindblowing!! They have the most brilliant tour and seeing the falls from the top and sitting in them is just amazing!!! This is a must! It can be abit scary and we went early morning and the mist caused quite abit of rain so it was chilly, but they have rain coats. It’s amazing that they can serve you with such a delicious meal and warm you up with some coffee! Chef, guides and staff all so brilliant, helpful and friendly!!!!! They even made me a “hot water bottle” in a little bottle to warm my hands up as my circulation was bad!

Do not book through Owens Taxis for devils pool. Just wait until you get to either Zambia or Zimbabwe and book it through wherever you're staying and then find transportation. The flat rate is 125 USD per person and Owens Taxi charges 190 dollars (+60 if you're in Zimbabwe) to be the essentially sign you up and drive you there. If you just wait until you touch down to book it you will save a significant amount of money. Despite over paying for devils pool I had a once in a lifetime experience and would highly recommend doing devils pool!

What a great experience when visiting Vic Falls it is worth taking the time to jump in a cab and go over to Zambia side and experience this. Do something that few have tried.

This was the best experience! Was very unique and well organized. I even asked to be picked up/dropped off in Kasane/Botswana and it was handled effortlessly. The drivers were great, so were the guides during the devils pool experience. Not many people and I felt very safe throughout! An added bonus, also the breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious! Can highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a unique experience!

I said I’d never visit the Devil’s Pool but I’m so glad I did. It was a brilliant and beautiful experience. Not as scary as it looks due to the great guides and other guests who made it an unforgettable event. It was truly spectacular and one of the highlights of what has been an amazing holiday.

Where do we begin! On reception , the team was extremely friendly and helpful...they answered all our curious questions and really got us excited before the incredible experience. The ablution facilities are very neat. They have thoughtful added little details that make all the difference during the entire experience. Upon reaching Livingstone Island...you realize that its just getting better and better! The service , the views, the experience in Devils Pool (they make you feel safe and watch/help along the way) and then the delicious food. We ended with the perfect cherry on top when we got to see some hippos on our boat ride back! We thought it would be a once of experience but after this .... We will definitely be back again with our loved ones to share this experience with! Thank you to everyone for this incredible experience.

One of the most exhilarating experiences, not just at the falls, involves the heart-pounding journey to Livingstone Island. Here, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Devil's Pool, which nature has crafted as an ultimate infinity pool, perched right on the edge of Victoria Falls. You can take a daring leap into the pool and then lean over its edge to witness the astounding 100-meter drop. Here, you'll also encounter the plaque commemorating the spot where David Livingstone first laid eyes on the falls. It's advisable to wear water shoes, if possible, as the path to the pool can be quite rocky and slippery.

Easy to deal with. Very professional and delivered on our experience. We had 7 people in our party and Owen and team were accommodating and helpful every step from transportation and crossing the boarder to pictures for our Devi’s Falls experience would highly recommend Owens Taxi and Tours.

We had an amazing time in Livingstone thanks to Owen and his colleagues. Owen arranged a transfer for us to the border of Botswana, and upon return he took us back to Zambia. He also arranged a tour and a transfer to the Angel’s pool which was an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend! He was really kind and even kept our phone for 17 days after we left it in his taxi. Thank you so much again Owen!

We were very impressed with this experience! The speed boat transportation to the island, the safety, the guidance and the food and alcohol. Not to mention all the photos. These guys are like professional photographers and your camera phones will be safe with them as you get in Angels Pool. We feel safe and well fed the whole time

You are literally on the edge of the falls and hanging over with 2 guys holding your legs. It’s beautiful but can be nerve wracking.

Exceed your expectations. A life affirming experience. Adrenalin addicts aspire to new heights. The guides assure safety while encouraging you to push the boundaries of your comfort level. Be aware that the pool you will experience is water level dependent and highly seasonal. Plan accordingly. December/January and May/June are optimal months. We went early February and it was perfect for Angel pool.

We had a GREAT experience with Owen tour!!! Both airport transfer were fantastic. We had the most friendly experience. We also did Devils pools!!! One of the most thrilling and safe adventures of a life time. One of our fellow travelers couldn’t swim, they made it a safe and fun experience. Thank you! OWEN tour all the way. I must say it was the friendliest and best Time!!

First of all let me start by saying that because Owen and his team were extremely responsive we were even able to do this activity in the first place. We knew we wanted to do a tour of the devils pool because where else in the world can you hang off a waterfall?!? However, we never booked in advance when we booked our trip and of course because limited companies do it - all tho bookings were sold out. I emailed the company at about 9pm the night before when our flight landed and they were able to squeeze us in the next morning! Our guide was Alfa Omega and he was fabulous. The tour starts with a little boat ride over to Livingstone island - which in itself was pretty fun if you ask me! We even saw a hippo! Then once reaching the island there is a little station where you can change into swimsuits and little places above falls for some photo ops. After this it’s a short swim to the falls. (If you can’t swim I think they have like a walking line where everyone holds hands- I saw another tour doing that later) Once at top of falls you go right into the pool where the guides help coax you to edge for photos. They take probably 100 photos or more so make sure you have enough storage on your phone and aren’t frantically deleting apps while in the pool like us!! Lol They even try to pose you for the best photos and hold your legs so you can kind of hang off a bit. There are little fish that nibble your legs that feels a bit weird. Free exfoliation! Pro tip; if you put on insect repellant they didn’t seem to bother those areas. Then after about 30 minutes in pool (for 2 ppl) we went back up into island for a homemade island cooked breakfast that was AWESOME!!! By far best breakfast we had while staying. 10/10 would recommend. Everyone else in our group that didn’t do this activity wishes they would have!

I did Angels Pool with my boyfriend. It rained the first half of the trip but we still were thoroughly impressed and our expectations were exceeded. All the guides were great. They took the best pictures of us and enabled us to capture some amazing pics.

Was awesome. A little scary but water not so high. Crazy great pics and those little fish! Really enjoyed the tour operator. He stood on the lip of the falls to take lots of pics of my son and I hanging over the falls. So beautiful. Thanks!

Livingstone island in Zambia is a place where fear and fun met in harmony. A trip to this location when in the Victoria Falls is a must-do. From the time you embark on the boat trip from the jetty to the island, the views just wow you as hippos and birds on your way to the island. The guides share their experiences and give you that welcome home feeling.

Staying on the edge of the falls triggers PURE ADRENALINE - I hadn't been this excited since I looked into the lava lake of Nyiragongo in 2017. I was already in Angels Pool at 10 a.m., but couldn't get to sleep until 3 a.m. because of the adrenaline. Good guides, very helpful.

Incredible experience, both the guide and everything in general, taxi, food and more spectacular. They are willing to help without asking and the entire experience is spectacular, from the views, the bathroom, the landscape... I would repeat 100% without thinking about it.😃
