Part of Albert Docks but moving to larger premises in the middle of the city over the next couple of years. The experience as it is at the moment is really enjoyable. Headphones play information at certain times as you make your way around the many exhibits, describing The Beatles rise to global domination. Took about 1 hour to go round gift shop and cafe at the end. Even if not a die hard Beatles fan it still is a fascinating insight to their lives.
Excellent display of Beatles memorabilia and story. Would recommend if you are a Beatles Fan. We spent just short of two hours walking throughout the exhibit. They also have a cafe and a gift shop.
It was so thorough and it was a great experience. Definitely worth going if you're a Beatles fan or want to learn more.
An interesting visit on a very wet morning. Easy to find venue on the Albert dock.short stroll from our hotel. £20 each was reasonable.we stayed about 3 hours. The audio tour was well constructed. The artifacts were ok. Oddly, not much music for an exhibition about a musical group we anticipated more music. The replica Caven club was very good and came to life with some interesting recollections. The cafe was quite dark so we chose to not use. The discovery zone was not open. The gift shop was no doubt a highlight for mega fans. We enjoyed the visit, learnt a few interesting facts. Not sure we would feel the need to return again.
We finally made a visit here after 3 years of living up here. I took my mum and some family and had a great time! The price is more than reasonable, and concessions include student and disability discounts. We spent just over 2 hours here to really take in all there was to see. There was loads of informative stuff from The Beatles’ history and the history of Liverpool in general. The atmosphere was great as there were some great walkthrough sections to really immerse yourself into the life of the city during the height of the fab 4! It can be quite busy here (to no surprise) but as you walk around the attractions there is some congestion amongst groups. This didn’t spoil the visit but may be overwhelming for some visitors. The staff were great, very friendly, and knowledgeable.
Was really looking forward to the experience, but I was expecting more interaction and more music. The guide through the headphones was informative but the experience seemed a bit dated and lacked atmosphere. Needs a revamp. For the price I was disappointed sadly.
Very warm and welcoming staff who were accommodating of my early arrival due to the wet weather! A very popular exhibition with lots of artefacts and information on The Fab Four and was a great and insightful place to go. The audio guide was really helpful to provide more context. Great value for money and would visit again.
You listen to recordings whilst walking around looking at mock ups. Would have been more informative watching a YouTube video and saved £40 for the both of us! Very disappointed.
It's nice to be able to go at your own pace. The audio devices work well. But sometimes the segments are too long. But the clips were mostly very informative with some great sound bites. The story seems accurate with lots of interesting artifacts. But, there is a serious lack of music. Overall it's a good tour to learn the history of the band.
Boring!! They should call it the Beatles memorabilia museum. I was done in 10 minutes. They give you headphones — no personal guide. I am not interested in looking at album covers and photos. And almost no music playing. I wonder if the museum doesn’t have any licensing rights. Spend your money to tour the Liver Building nearby instead. You get to go to the top with a real tour guide who answers questions.
Visited on a weekend visit to Liverpool. Brilliant museum with great exhibits especially if you’re a Beatles fan and excellent value for money.
Amazing and informative. Great experience
So much fun remembering what life was like back then. The recreations of The Cavern and record shop, all the memorabilia and, most of all, the music playing the whole time.
We came down on day trip to Liverpool from Durham on coach my 2nd visit here but my sister's first preferred without headphones so just left them off most of the way brilliant visit though to learn things you don't know and seeing diff instruments and story's definitely worth paying for staff are friendly and helpful
We absolutely loved our experience at the Beatles Story Museum. I had been wanting to visit Liverpool for quite sometime since I grew up in a Beatles house. My mom is such a big fan, and we even all got to see Paul McCartney on his Get Back Tour in the States in 2022 as a family. The whole band is very special to us. I loved being to able to visit the town where they all grew up and share the experience with my husband. We learned so much about the Beatles and Liverpool and really cannot express how beneficial it is to visit this museum and get the full scope of their impact. Hope to be able to visit again in the future and bring my mom.
The exhibits were great and really worthwhile and fun to see. Just no real enthusiasm or willingness to engage in a proactive conversation from any team member at any point.
This was a really informative experience, well laid out and interesting. We really enjoyed it!
Brilliant. Finally I could learn more about them. They made like similar stages of beatles's most famous moments, so for me was so nice. I really recommend take a good time to visit it.
It was a good tour. There was a lot to listen to in the prerecorded devices as you wandered around the museum.
I'm not the biggest Beatles fan but I enjoyed the visit. I used Tesco vouchers to pay for the ticket. Well laid out , lots of information. If you're in the Albert dock area it's a must visit.
Excellent multilingual app based commentary with headphones of the Beatles story from start to end. Walk though some 35 focussed sections. The recreated Cavern Club was particularly good. Informative, fun and great value
This was fabulous! We enjoyed all of the information and the displays and videos. We weren't rushed even though it was busy. The area around this venue was great, too. We walked from our cruise ship and it was a great way to spend a couple of hours.
My son is a Beatles super fan. We had really high expectations for this experience. We even arranged for our driver to stay longer because we thought we would be there quite a while. Although there were some nice items at the experience, it was overall a disappointment. Many of the items were replicas, not originals. The information was adequate but nothing exceptional. I think we expected that this would have a lot of memorabilia but it really didn't. It was extremely hot and the gift shop was closed unexpectedly. There was another gift shop that was part of the experience by the dock where the Beatles statues were, but it was poor quality items. Had we not had a wonderful tour of the Beatles sites in Liverpool and London, we would have been very upset. Our family literally arranged this trip to England for my son's senior year specifically because he loves the Beatles. If you are in Liverpool and have the time to visit the experience, do so. However, if you are crunched for time, see the sites in the town (like Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields etc.) instead.
Great tour, we did not use the guide bit was available as a beatles fan, enjoyed seeing the memorabilia... there is also a cafe and a shop as well
Terrible experience, so tacky, mock ups of the cavern, rooftop, recording studios, all very amateur, generally a pathetic story of the greatest group ever, Disney could have done better, come on Liverpool your greatest asset and thats all you can do?
Fantastic experience. The audio guide is very well set up. Spent just over 2 hours here. Learnt a lot
Well designed exhibits and a narrative provided by John Lennon's sister were outstanding.
Very informative and interesting for true Beatles fans. The only downside was it was pretty crowded and it was also hot inside. So much so that we left before we had seen everything.
Wow, if you want an informative & interactive Beatles experience then this is it!! Superb displays with self guided audio so u can go at your own pace . Loved it!
Very nice tour with lots of information …………… Poignant areas of great interest…..perfect tour for everyone
Its fair to say that we didnt really know what to expect as the tickets were a gift. Its clearly a major tourist attraction based on the number of people milling around outside, but it became clear once inside that the timed entrances meant that the place didnt get too busy. Make sure you pick up the free audio guides as even though each display has plenty of reading materials, the audio guide gives supplementary info and also some film clips. It follows the band from the beginning to their breakup and touches on the solo careers. If you're going to take it all in, you'll need 1.5 to 2 hours.
A great experience and very informative and enjoyable. Booked the night before online. No crowding. Great value for money. With the exhibition, café and gift shop, I was there 4 hours!! The staff were friendly. The atmosphere was great. There was a talking guide (headphones) and visuals. Lots of memorabilia to look at and the café was great and atmospheric. Brilliant gift shop as well.
Very in depth. Learned so much about Beatles that I never knew before. The props in the museum were excellent. Highly recommend
Great museum. Presented a terrific history of the rise and fall of the Beatles Era.
Exhibit area was way too warm and the timed entry did not seem to space out people so that there were not many bottlenecks along the exhibit. Information was good and there was memorabilia. My only comment would be there was not enough memorabiliaspecific to the actual Beatles themselves.
It’s fantastic! My second time and never disappointed. . Beware of the gift ship if you are a shopper-it’s wonderful!!
Superb!!!!! It ticks all the boxes for Beatles enthusiasts...
We did not book ahead, I think this would be advisable in busy times, but managed to get tickets, at pensioner rates - only £14 each, at the venue. I am not sure if this option is available online. What a brilliant display and commentary. The timed entry meant we were not crowded and could take our time reliving teenage memories of a great band! I was very impressed with the young man who helped me with the tickets. He suggested a different entry time as there were several large groups booked in that day. There was so much to take in, I really liked the personal recollections from people who knew them well and also from the boys themselves. Highly recommended!!
I had high expectations for this trip, and I was not disappointed! Their self-guided audio tour is really informative. They also had several historical recreations of key parts of the Beatles’ lives - the music store where they bought their instruments, the Cavern Club where they played over 290 times, etc. It was a really fun experience and I would recommend it highly.
Thought this was an excellent tour. So much detail and interesting story of the Beatles. Highly recommend a trip here.
My Daughter and myself have a shared love of the Beatles. We decided that this summer we would do a Beatles Tour of Liverpool. We did a bit of homework on which experiences we would get most from, and after a bit of debate, we opted for the Beatles Story Museum. It did not disappoint. A very well set up establishment, with audio guides provided. While these were excellent, the tight confines of the museum worked against the audio presentation. If a group stopped to listen to the full presentation as you moved along, it caused a backlog of people coming behind. And that is really my only criticism, albeit one which I could totally live with and not get annoyed about. This museum is great for kidd. Well lit, colourful and interactive. I'm very glad we chose this option. We will be back again to visit this museum and the next time, among the other exhibits in Liverpool. Great experience, well worth the admission and time.
A very good history of the Beatles. Great and friendly staff, good cafe and extensive shop. Would recommend this to all, even if the Beatles are not your favourite band.
This place tells the story of the Beatles, it is a experience, not a museum so don't expect a lot of original stuff from them. 4th of August 2026 , 23⁰ and the place is under the street level and close, it doesn't have any fans or air conditioner, I was drowning, couldn't enjoy properly, they put more people in there than it can fit. And what's the point to book a certain time if they let people at any time, the just asked us to meake a queue!! If you are a Beatles fan, you already know all of this !! Better go strawberry fields or take the magical Mystery tour bus.
Amazing, full of interesting information and visually excellent
After our open top bus ride of Liverpool, we decided to start our day in the Beatles Story. What an amazing museum, starting from the beginning of the Beatles story with mock ups of where they did their first gigs in Germany, a reconstruction of the Cavern Club and so much information and history on them. At the end their separate stories since the group had split up. The self guided audio tour was also brilliant. We spent about two hours going through the story. At the end there is a small café and shop.
This was my favorite Beatles thing I did in Liverpool. The museum was set up by John's sister and the audio guide includes commentary from Paul and others that truly knew the band and were a part of their history. It was so informative and the displays were excellent. Highly recommend!!
What a fabulous museum. We spent almost 3 hours going around using the audio guide (provided in entrance ticket price) as well as reading all the descriptions for all the exhibits as well as watching the various videos. Fortunately it was not too busy and so didn't feel crowded at any time. There are various areas to sit as you go around the various exhibits. The way the museum has been done, it very atmospheric. A not to be missed museum for anyone who loves the Beatles or who wants to know more about them. Not suitable for children under say 12 as they would soon get bored.
An excellent exhibition covering the history of the Beatles from schooldays to solo careers and beyond. As it is interactive and you have a device with different chapters of the story available you can really take your time and enjoy the tour at your own pace. Would recommend to everybody.
This is fabulous. It is a “ must see” when visiting Liverpool. We thoroughly enjoyed walking through, listening to and viewing how the Beatles started and how their talent and magic expanded throughout the years.
