Really good tour and guide. All the staff were lovely. Building is gorgeous wasn’t rushed. Amazing facts and notes. Great exhibition. Beautiful buliding
We had a wonderful tour here and our guide was Ellen who was so passionate about the history of the building and helped us all enjoy every minute . She was so full of knowledge about everything .
A brilliant experience at the iconic Royal Liver building. I learnt lots such as the building was Europe’s first skyscraper, the electronically driven clock faces are larger than Big Ben's clocks and The Liver Birds are called Bella and Bertie! The tour starts in a small gallery with info on design, construction and use of the building. Particularly interesting was the video films based around the video clock face. Our tour guide was Russell - who was excellent - full of facts & a good communicator with a great sense of humour. The highlights were the excellent 9 minute projection show behind the clock faces & of course the amazing views at the top with a chance for close ups of the clock faces and The Liverbirds. It is fairly expensive but IMO worth the money and I’d thoroughly recommend.
Despite the 80 mile an hour winds & horizontal rain it was a fabulous tour & was thrilled to be able to dazzle George Clooney with my rapier wit & sparkling repartee…I’m sure George would agree. A day full of surprises.
Excellent tour, guide was very engaging and knowledgeable
Didn't really know anything about the Liver Building until I went and thoroughly loved it! There are lockers to store small bags and a few slightly bigger ones should you need, but avoid taking your luggage! Our guide Ellen was fantastic and knowledgable, both about the building and local area that surrounded the building. There are lots of steps and some are spiral staircases, (read the Health & Safety details in your email carefully!) they can be done at your own pace and you are given a few breaks to get your breath back! There is a lift to the first part of the tour which helps. The views from the top overlooking the Mersey are well worth it - even on a cloudy and very wet day such as when I went (just before Storm Austen hit the UK). We were in a small group of people and given plenty of opportunities to take photographs and take in the different parts of the tour. Definitely worth a visit on your trip to Liverpool.
A fascinating and really enjoyable tour. Our tour guide (Shan) was knowledgeable, professional and really personable. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Liverpool.
Great experience to see Liverpool from a different view and learn all about the Liver Building. We had Ellen as our guide who was very informative and a pleasure to listen too. Our visit last just over an hour and was worth the experience. Don't be put off by the amount of stairs you will need to climb. It's done in manageable stages and you are can take them at your own pace. This was our first visit despite visiting Liverpool on many occasions. Admission fee was worth the money for a one of experience. You are in groups of about 15 so you have plenty of room to move about and take lots of photos and videos.
I arrived earlier than expected and was pleased to find the booking could be moved forward as there was space with the earlier group. Tour guide was excellent, a local with plenty of background knowledge about the area and it's traditions. Very informative and put across with a good dose of humour. The immersive multimedia show inside the clock tower was tremendous.
If you don’t mind 134 steps, do this tour. With a real guide from Liverpool, you go to the top of this magnificent tower and learn all about the history of Liverpool. I asked our guide so many questions and he had encyclopedic knowledge. His name was Russell and he lives in Liverpool. Takes 70 minutes. Our group had only 4 people including us 2. Immeasurably better than Beatles Story which is same price. And close by.
This experience offers breathtaking views of the city of Liverpool and the Wirral peninsula from the historic Liver Building. Our guide, Russell, was extremely friendly and helpful in taking us on the tour and explaining the history of the old building.
Adam you ‘Liver’end up my day today with your very professional, humerous and passionate tour, fantastic experience!! Thank-you so much for your time! I am scared of heights and yet thoroughly enjoyed this experience!
One of the best rooftop walks in Britain and I've done a fair few. The view from the top is staggering, the climb from the 10th floor up the stairs is nicely paced out. Top marks go to our guide Shannon, who delivered an indepth and passionate over view of this fascinating building and the city itself, providing an informative context that the viewer could digest. Please do this tour, treat yourself to the best possible view of Liverpool. .
Worth going to, very informative and interesting experience and very glad I went, with excellent views of the city
Great experience. The tour was very interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable and professional. A great tour!
Fantastic couple of hours, the view from the building is fantastic. Our guide was lovely its was his first tour and he nailed it. The information given was very interesting. The short film you see is beautiful. I even took his picture.
Fabulous tour with our excellent guide, Shannon. Excellent views across the city, and not at all strenuous climbing all those stairs from the 10th floor upwards, as we had several stops along the way. The immersive video experience in the clock room was very good, but probably worth doing a walking tour of the city first so that you can appreciate all the images in the display.
really fun, informative and interesting. well worth the money. there’s breaks between each flight of stairs and a opportunity to have a 10 minute sit down and watch a really great movie in the clock tower. we were in there for about an hour and ten minutes. unbelievable views from the clock face to the top of the building. when we went there was just my mum and i and another couple so it was very nice and intimate. caitlin was a very friendly, funny and knowledgeable tour guide very glad we were on her tour. would recommend 10/10 experience.
Tour guide katlin was brilliant gave us loads of info. Not as scary st the top as I thought. Would advise the visit
Thoughly enjoyed the experience, the guide was well versed in the the building and made it very enjoyable.
The tour is brilliant from start to finish, pleasant check in at the desk, plus the history of the building coupled with the physical ascending of it whilst learning its story is really good. The tour guide Ellen was outstanding in how she related the many facts associated with this historic building and this set the tone for the tour. Many things learned and the views have to be seen.
This was a nice way to view the city from 15 stories up. We had a great sunny day and could see for miles. The stairs were not too bad but be mindful it does take an effort. Sitting inside the working clock tower, we watched a video projection on the walls. Overall a nice time.
Been to Liverpool lots of times and loved looking at the Liver. The entrance was easy to find, very friendly welcome and lots to keep you interested while waiting for tour to begin. Guide was excellent, explained everything and was very knowledgeable. Would totally recommend.
What an amazing experience kaya our guise was born to to this job ama img value for money brilliant views Adam in in gift shop so welcoming would highly recommend another thing ticked off my my thing ticked off my bucket lixg7
The trip is well organised and they give you information on health and safety etc. Our guide was Shan. Good information on the origins of the Royal Liver Friendly Society and the building, clocks etc. Some of the information regarding Liverpool history was a bit skewed based on my own experience as a local tour guide and what I have learnt in local history lectures and seminars. The video presentation was good and the views are excellent.I was considering a 5 star review, but only 4 stars; this based on the tour not accessing the interior of the building (board room etc.) which I consider equally important as the exterior of the building.
The stairs could be a challenge but the effort is well worth it. Great film inside the clock tower and expert commentary
Really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Answered questions like he knew what I was going to ask! Clearly very practised at his craft. The audio-visual experience was my favourite bit as it felt very immersive. I thought the stairs were going to be a lot worse than they actually were! Glad I happened upon this on a whim and didn’t have to wait long to start.
My daughter and l had a truly amazing time. The views from the top of the building were spectacular. Our Guide was Shannon who was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable, also very willing to answer all questions. Although l am not disabled l do have asthma so thought the stairs might have been a bit much for me.l asked to be at the back so l didn’t hold the others up. Shannon made sure l was okay and couldn’t have been kinder. The visit was well the money and a great place to visit.
Excellent experience. Very enjoyable and Caitlin was a very good and witty guide.
Knowledgeable guide. Interesting tour with humour. Fabulous views of the city. Small group which was nice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience which was made especially enjoyable by Caitlin our guide. She kept us informed whilst we travelled up the building and we didn’t feel rushed. Group size was perfect which meant we felt included in all talks given whilst on the tour. If in Liverpool then well worth doing the tour.
The tour of the building was amazing! Our tour guide, Shannon, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour took about 70 minutes to do but there was plenty of time to take photos of the surrounding views. While there were 100+ stairs, the guides allow you to take them at your own pace. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Liverpool.
A fantastic opportunity to get birdseye views of Liverpool from the top of one of its iconic buildings. Powerful video in the clock tower- loved the hole experience
Great tour yesterday with Shannon who was very knowledgeable about the building and very amusing. She made the tour a very enjoyable experience. We even saw the bee keepers and learnt about what they do. Amazing! Really recommend this tour but be warned there are a lot of steps but it’s worth it for the views when you get to the top!
A truly wonderful experience. The young lady who was our guide had an encyclopaedic knowledge of, not just the Royal Liver Building, but all the major buildings we could see from the viewing area. Yes, there are stairs to negotiate, but they are well lit and have solid handrails. There is a halfway halt in the clock chamber where a spectacular video is shown charting the history of Liverpool. The 360 deg. views from the platform below one of the Liver Birds are absolutely amazing. The whole city and river are laid out before you. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the tour.
Informative tour of historic landmark. Well conveyed by an enthusiastic guide. Great views of both the city and the Mersey.
This wasn't easy to find, it wasn't well sign posted and you have to go down some stairs, when you do find it you're warmly greeted, we didn't pre book we were able to get a tour, this was during the week. It was interesting to read everything whilst we waited and we were told about the health and safety precautions and lockers were provided for our possessions. Our guide was great, there are a lot of steps and she took it steady for us. Brilliant Experience.
Excellent tour. Very interactive with AV displays. Fantastic views at the top. Be aware there is only a lift to 10th floor. 135 steps above that on a steep staircase, so anyone struggling with mobility issues will struggle.
We really enjoyed this experience. So much fantastic information given by our guide and a thoroughly great visit.
Did this early (well, 10am) on a Sunday morning, so it was quite quiet. The staff were great, and the tour, which takes you into places 'normal' visitors can't access (including the clock tower and the roof) is unforgettable. Good value too!
Excellent time great history Catelin was a very good guide. Thank you all
This tour is a must for travelers to Liverpool. From the history of the Royal Liver building to the stunning views from the rooftop, it is a wonderful tour. Our guide, Jacob, was very informative and knowledgeable, allowed us to take our time in each area, and answered all our questions. Good value too.
We had friends visiting from the South, & thet wanted to to something local & they suggested Liver360, as we are from Liverpool we didn't hesitate, our friends were amazed, this is the second time we'd done this & seemed better than our previous visit in 2021, my only gripe is that it is not advertised enough, You don't have to be from Liverpool to enjoy this historical attraction.
We enjoyed the climb which is not difficult. The views are terrific. The middle part where you stop and view the clock from behind, see how it operates, and also view a movie on the back of the clocks is very clever and interesting to see. The only thing is the entrance location is not easy to find. There should be another stand or poster put up to show where the downstairs entrance to the building is. The personnel in the building did not even know where to direct us. luckily we called the number on an email I received and someone picked up after 2 tries.
What an amazing your, our guide Shannon was absolutely brilliant and so passionate about her home town, We loved every moment and it was so interesting. . The clock tower tour was amazing and explained so well by Shannon. We would definitely recommend to everyone. If your visiting Liverpool you would be mad to not go on this tour
Easy to book online. Greeted by pleasant staff. Small shop. Start with an informative foyer. Be aware a small lift, a narrow, spiral staircase. An amazing story of the Liver Building and Liverpool itself. Breath taking views. Can't believe it took us so long to do this tour.
The Royal Liver Building is an iconic Liverpool landmark that is even more impressive in person. Its stunning architecture & rich history make it a highlight of the waterfront, while the views from the top are absolutely spectacular. A must-visit for anyone exploring the city.
Admission fee exorbitant, length of tour acceptable. We were not told we wouldn’t be able to access clock room before we paid and instead were taken to the board room. City sight notice boards at the top of the tower were unclear, not in relevant place and very confusing. Our guide spoke very quickly, was asked to slow down by one member of the group, but didn’t!! She constantly consulted her watch, felt like we were a nuisance. She had no thought for the slowest in the group, luckily a member of the tour stayed behind to tell us where to go. Do not recommend in any shape or form.
You will not be disappointed!
