I had an absolutely brilliant time on the Peaky Blinders Taxi Tour in Liverpool with Gary Friday. If you’re a fan of the series, this tour is an absolute must — but even if you’re not, it’s still a fascinating and fun way to explore Liverpool and its film locations. Gary was fantastic from start to finish: friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about both the show and the city. He brought the world of Peaky Blinders to life with behind-the-scenes stories, filming anecdotes, and lots of historical context about the real gangs that inspired the series. It was much more than just a sightseeing tour — it felt like stepping into the story. We visited several iconic filming locations around Liverpool, many of which double as Birmingham in the show. Gary made sure there was plenty of time to take photos and really soak up the atmosphere, and he even had still images from the series so we could compare the scenes with the real locations — a great touch! The black cab itself added to the authentic experience, and Gary’s storytelling kept the whole tour lively and engaging. His enthusiasm is contagious, and you can tell he genuinely loves sharing Liverpool’s film heritage. All in all, a memorable and highly enjoyable experience. We had a private tour with guide Gary who was the double of Tommy with an accent to match and very informative and knowledgeable about the history and sites of Liverpool as well as about Peaky Blinders filming sites. Did the Peaky Blinders Taxi Tour with my wife on our honeymoon. Gary, our tour guide, and Jerry, our taxi driver, were amazing!! Both were very charismatic, knowledgeable, and funny! Gary even went above and beyond and dress like a Peaky Blinder and took pictures and video for us and with us (recreating scenes). We even had a little break and had delicious coffee together. It was very much worth the money and it was our best experience while visiting the UK. This review is officially a 10 out of 5... by order of the Peaky Blinders!

Gary Friday was an amazing guide! You can tell that he loves discussing Liverpool and Peaky Blinders. He knows everything, down to the scene, and then the story behind the story. In fact, he was an extra on the show. He mixes in other historical tour stops (e.g., Liverpool Cathedral, football stadiums) depending on your interest. A fantastic tour which showed how this great city was used as the backdrop to Peaky Blinders. The tour guide Gary Friday made it really enjoyable with his enthusiasm, humour and great knowledge. Gary tells the story of how the different locations were used and brings it to life with images and clips of the show. He explains how the show told the history of what was going on in Britain at the time. A fascinating insight into how the show was made, brought to life with some funny stories from behind the scenes. If you’re into Peaky Blinders and want to see some great locations in Liverpool and Wirral, this is a great way to spend half a day.

Excellent Peaky Blinders/Beatles private tour with the excellent Gary Friday.He is a wealth of knowledge regarding all things Liverpool and the tour was good value for money.Gary was great to deal with and has a great way about him when dealing with people.Our driver on the day,Emma, was so friendly and helpful too. Would highly recommend asking for Gary when booking tours as he made it a very special experience.

Being big fans of the Peaky blinders my daughter and I was looking forward to the tour and it didn't disappoint. Gary was a fantastic guide and all round entertainer, never a dull moment. Highly recommend if you love the Peakys.

The pedky blinders tour is worth the money and Liverpool has got do many old buildings to be proud of not like our city Sheffield that would just knock them down..Gary is a proper character who knows his history of the peaky blinders and would definitely recommend the tour..

Gary Friday, on a Sunday… We had a Peaky Blinders Tour around Liverpool for my son’s birthday due to us but mostly him, being a big fan of the show. Gary was just simply fantastic. He took us to a variety of different locations of where they filmed some of the most iconic scenes. Most of which, you probably wouldn’t expect them to have been filmed at. It just showed how good the film creators really are! Gary was very informative, enthusiastic and charismatic. I couldn’t recommend his tour but mostly just himself, enough. Hopefully, we’ll see each other again. Perhaps it’ll be Gary Friday on a Friday this time! P.S - Shout out to John the driver too. X

I booked with tour as my partner and I are big fans. The 1st tour was cancelled due to low numbers. The 2nd tour took place. The coach & guide arrived on time and dresser as a blinder. She was personable and did a good job getting to know everyone. The coach & driver was very nice. As like all other tours I have been on I expected to hear lots of inside gossip, unknown something from filming etc. That did not take place. The guide had cards with information on taken from her research. The site were ok, mostly seen via the coach. There was other information given about up and coming building taking place. Nice but nothing to do with Peaky Blinders. We also saw two football grounds, given information and songs. Absolutely, not what I paid for. I would consider this tour to be entirely average.

We had a blast during this tour. Gary even got us up by the Liverpool and Everton stadiums which tied in with our interest in football on top of discovering the city through the Peaky Blinders scenes.

This tour was a treat for my son who is a Peaky Blinders addict. The tour exceeded all our expectations. Gary Friday was amazing - friendly, personable, super knowledgeable about Peaky Blinders and also about many different aspects of history in Liverpool, and about the film industry in general. His stories were fascinating. The fact that he showed clips from the show when we got to each of the sites was great, so you could see exactly where everything happened. My son was delighted and even learnt a lot, despite the fact that he thought he knew everything about the show. The other (unexpected) thing about this tour was the city of Liverpool. An amazingly interesting city steeped in history and culture, that we had no idea about. Also Port Sunlight was amazing. All in all, a fantastic experience and well worth every penny.

We were on the Peaky Blinders tour with Gary Friday and this was the best tour I have had. We did the private taxi tour which I would highly recommend if you want an up close and personal experience of the tour. He also talked about the history of Liverpool and was so knowledgeable. By the end of the tour he felt like a friend we had known a long time! Great sense of humour and there is no one better with Peaky Blinder facts.

He went above and beyond to introduce us to locals and give us a REAL Liverpool experience. His knowledge of Peaky, and the history of that town cannot be matched!

Gary Friday is SUCH an amazing tour guide. He has an impressive knowledge of not just Peaky Blinders' locations in Liverpool, but a love for the city in general that is contagious. Had a fantastic half day Peaky Blinders private tour with our guide Gary Friday who was excellent, knowledgeable and had a great outlook. He was really great company, friendly from our introduction and an avid storyteller about the show and Liverpool itself, which shares some truly iconic locations. Gary showed us how the locations were transformed for the show and answered our endless questions. As we are from Liverpool we asked if he could consider us a tourists for the day. Not only did we have a brilliantly entertaining time we learnt a lot too and I honestly would recommend this tour 100%. Clare our driver for the day was fantastic company too. Very friendly and offered us an umbrella when it was raining and looked after our bags too. We had a truly memorable experience. I felt as we started off as strangers but ended up as friends- Gary and Clare were absolutely amazing company for the day. Loved it ....Thanks a million!!!! Met in a really central location, although the private tour is expensive it was totally worth it considering all of the stops and many facts about Peaky Blinders and Liverpool itself. All in all a fantastic day with lovely company.

The taxi tour is much more intimate than the coach tours we passed, given Gary’s phenomenal driver Clare was exceptionally skilled, amenable to waiting, and extremely warm, and personable. Travelling this way provides you with ample opportunity to view the key sights including Ada’s and Aunt Polly’s homes, the Epsom Races and Garrison locations. The Peaky tour includes the exploits of the Shelby family and Gary’s in-depth knowledge of the cast and characters. There is nothing he doesn’t know the answer to and his repertoire of information is astounding. The Peaky Blinders Tour exceeded our expectations in every way! Gary is a wealth of information who was both enthusiastic and well-read and able to answer all questions without hesitation. He took us to so many different locations offering to take photographs while allowing us to get out of the taxi to experience things for ourselves. It was a brilliant day out and I would highly recommend it, to everyone and not just Peaky Blinder fans! We would rate this tour 110%! Exceptional! A must and well worth the money! What a way to spend the day! Gary Friday’s tour shouldn’t be missed as it an experience in itself. He is definitely someone you should meet!

Recently had a private Peaky tour for my daughters birthday she is a crazy peaky blinder fan I also enjoy the show. From Start to finish there were lots of facts about filming and we saw lots of filming locations. The guide Gary Friday wore the attire of a blinder. You could tell he is anenthusiast which my daughter loved He was very funny and informative would highly recommend the tour toany peaky blinders fans

We had the best tour guide in Paul and our driver claire was brilliant too loved there football banter and Paul's knowledge on peaky blinders was impressive we saw lots of Liverpool we didn't expect and had the best time highly recomed for anyone to use this company

I went on this tour on 11.7.21 after 2.5 years wait because of covid The wait was worth the wait it was an amazing trip pointing out places I never thought of as places in peaky blinders And the tour guide "Cilla" was very knowledgeable Excellent trip and well worth going on

A Christmas present that was 2 years in the making!! We both thoroughly enjoyed the Peaky Blinders tour and that was partly down to the amazing Gary Friday (on a Saturday). His enthusiasm, passion and humour kept us all entertained and he was very knowledgeable about the show, the areas where filming took place and his beloved Port Sunlight, which was a lovely tranquil place. Definitely worth the wait and money well spent. Keep it up Gary and coach driver Chris!!

We went on the 4hour coach trip, my wife booked for a birthday present last year. It was the first tour back after covid an you couldn't tell we both had a great experience. Booked for April 2020 but was cancelled due to Covid and wouldn’t refund money,issued voucher to use in 2021.Now informed that they won’t honour existing booking as they’ve put price up by £150 😳😳 so have refunded original money.Have kept my money for over a year to help their business survive but now increased the price by about 80% and don’t want to look after existing bookings.Shocking way for a company to act so avoid them at all cost.Contact Liverpool taxi drivers via social media who will look after you at a fraction of the cost with a professional service. Brit Movie Tours are greedy and unprofessional !!!

Just been on Peaky Blinders half day tour liverpool it was amazing from start to finish even if you don't watch peaky blinders it was still interesting with stories of liverpool. We had Gary Friday on a Saturday and he really made the tour his knowledge of the TV programme was unbelievable he made the tour interesting funny if you get Fary on your tour your in for a treat he made everyone feel welcome and remembered everyone's name good quality coach showing clips of peaky blinders and we had Martin driving us around excellent driver and at the end of the tour we had a fun quiz then got dropped off at the Peaky Blinders bar which was a bonus. If your thinking of doing the tour don't just book it you wont be disappointed

Took the PEAKY BLINDERS Tour on Sat 5TH May 2019 with 4 friends. Gary Friday was our tour guide. He made it so much fun as well as being very informative about the many Liverpool sites. His true enthusiasm of the series made such a difference. Thanks to Martin too the coach driver.I would certainly recommend to any fans of the show.

Wish I could write a review similar to previous ones. I suspect our tour guide (who was lovely) was new to this tour. Information provided was a little haphazard and seemed a little under practiced/rehearsed. Tour over ran by over an hour but felt longer. IT issues with the coach DVD didn't help matters although this was no fault of the guide. Reading previous reviews it seems like Gary is the guy you need.
