Our guide from Purple Tours was Paul. He was absolutely wonderful. Paul was a treasure trove of Beatles information. The tour was a little over 4 hours but the time flew by and we were left wanting more. From standing on the spot where John and Paul first met- to seeing the homes they grew up in, walking down Penny Lane, standing outside the Cavern , and seeing Strawberry Field. I highly recommend this tour

My father and I learned so much on the tour! Paul was absolutely wonderful and has such a way of storytelling! It’s a 4 hr tour that flew by because Paul made it fun! He truly loves what he does. Thank you Melissa from CT
It was a great tour. Simon was wonderful. He really is well versed in everything Beatles. Loved the tour!
Purple tour company met us ship side. Mike was our tour guide . He did a fantastic job! Very knowledgeable about Liverpool and the Beatles. Augmented the tour stops with actual photos from back in the day. This tour is a must!!!
Our guide (Mike) did an excellent job with explaining all of the great stories of the Beatles in their early years......it's amazing to see where they came from to what they became....
Very knowledgeable, personable and entertaining, John is clearly a pro at small group Beatles tours. We loved the more intimate environment of a small group - no big motorcoach could see and experience what we did. Small coach (15 passenger) was clean and new, making the tour all the more enjoyable.
I enjoyed the entire day. I learned so much about the Beatles. Paul told great stories to make each stop more interesting.
Our guide was Paul and we were in the McCartney group. Great way to start a Beatles tour! Got to see the childhood homes of all but George (too far away). Spent just the right amount of time at each location including Strawberry Field, Penny Lane, Rigby and Mc Kenzie cemetary plots, childhood church of meet-ups, etc. Cavern area also very interesting and well explained. We actually VISITED these areas while we saw many other tours simply drive by for photostops from inside the vehicle. Paul was very informative and shared many unknown details while allowing us to listen to some of the hits associated with the details being shared. Excellent tour!! Well worth the money. Thank you!!!
Nice tour to get Beatles highlights and see the city. It was a bit rushed at times and it actually ran over a bit.
An excellent tour of all things Beatles with considerable privileged access to key locations. Our guide, Paul, had a deep knowledge of the Fab Four and the history of rock music in both the UK and US. Highest possible recommendation
The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, energetic, and entertaining. Phil is a wonderful storyteller.
It is a fantastic tour and being for small groups enables you to get to side streets etc that the big coaches aren’t able to. Our guide Phil, was an absolute gem, with so much knowledge and a great sense of humour. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Liverpool
Our guide was fantastic. He had great knowledge of all the places we stopped at. Small group was so nice, easy on and off a very comfortable mini van.
Phil, the tour guide, was engaging and knowledgeable, making the tour memorable. This is a small-group tour with a combination of walking and a luxury van experience. He shared so many stories about how the Beatles were meant to be together. Did you know each member's childhood homes are close to each other? We learned so much about the Beatles after spending hours with Phil. Each stop was given enough time to take pictures and for Phil to share the behind-the-scenes stories. We were intrigued by Phil's stories. Highly recommend this tour for Beatles fans and those new to learning about the Beatles. Hopefully, you may be lucky to have Phil as your tour guide!
Mike was an absolute gem of a tour guide. He had so much knowledge of the Beatles lore and history in Liverpool and beyond. A+
One great tour! Our guide Tracey was phenomenal! A walking encyclopedia of knowledge about the Beatles! She was charismatic, personable, patient and even sang us Beatle songs! One fantastic tour guide! We hit all of the important stops and then some! This tour does not disappoint!
Our guide Mike made this the best small-group tour we've ever taken. He is a storyteller and made the Beatles come to life! I'm motivated to listen to more Beatles music after hearing the stories that inspired the songs. Beautiful!
My wife and I have taken several Viator trips and with the exception of the one we took in Helsinki, they have all been excellent. This tour however went well beyond excellent. The tour with Simon was absolutely OUTSTANDING. His subject matter knowledge, prepared slides and photos combined with this excitement, enthusiasm and wonderful sense of humor is beyond compare. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone and, if you are fortunate enough to get SIMON as your guide you are in for a "Day to Rember". Not only was the tour outstanding we requested and received a wonderful follow up email form Simon with copies of rare Beatles photos and historical details. I cannot speak more highly on a tour and tour guide. Thank you, Simon. Stan & Jean Synkoski
Our guide Simone was perfect. He kept the group together, very knowledgeable and kept everyone engaged. I don't member the drivers name, but he was very polite and I felt very safe.
This was an excellent tour done with purple tours! I think we had the best one because of our guide, Simon. I can’t say enough about the tour. Simon provided music and pictures at the stops and had a wonderful knowledge of all Beatles trivia. My husband thought he could stump him but alas Simon shown through! Would recommend highly!
Outstanding tour. I can’t recommend it enough. Dave was thoroughly knowledgeable in all aspects of this tour. What a memorable ride down music history
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, Enthusiastic and entertaining. We felt like we were shown places and given insight that most people wouldn’t know about. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is a Beatles fan .
We had a wonderful time. Dave gave us lots of info but also responded when we had something to share. The stops were all great
Don't have to be a Beatles fan to enjoy. Tracy our guide was fabulous. Small tour group on a comfortable coach was nice.
We had a fantastic time with Tracey. She is such a talent and knowledgeable guide. We would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to have a fantastic time in Liverpool.
Great Beatles experience! Our tour guide Tracey was knowledgable and she entertained us with songs while playing her ukulele! A fun day in Liverpool! Highly recommend
Excellent tour. Phil was wonderful- extremely knowledgeable and very funny. Visited childhood homes and places referenced in songs. Highly recommend.
My wife Shirley and I had an amazing time on our trip Tracy did such an amazing time her Knowledge and Skills made the Excursion even better I would recommend this to anybody that likes the Beatles and specifically ask for Tracy she took time to answer every question you had and gave you more knowledge than you were expecting we just appreciate that we almost felt like we were the only ones there yet they were at least 12 people again such a great Excursion
I had a fantastic time on this tour with Simon. He was very knowledgeable about the Beatles. He was very accommodating and answered all the questions.
Best tour we have ever been on!! Tim was so funny and knew everything about everybody!!! He was just awesome! Got us into unexpected places and went an hour longer with an added walking tour!!
We had an excellent tour. Our guide Tracey was knowledgeable, funny, and talented! Tracey’s secret weapon was her ukulele! She explained where the lyrics for a couple of songs originated.. then played them on her ukulele! We also want to give credit to our driver Dan. He was professional from the word go! He was able to navigate the bus through some pretty tough situations with ease, we felt safe and secure with Dan.
This was a great tour. It's perfect for someone that can't walk long distances all at once. Our group only had 10 people and the small coach was very pleasant - space & air conditioning. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and we even got to see the inside of the church where John & George actually met. I would really recommend this tour for anyone even the biggest Beatles fan!
This was the perfect tour for us. Only six people plus our guide, and our driver. We had a spotlessly, clean, air-conditioned van, and plenty of bottled water. The tour lasted four hours, but every minute was entertaining and educational.
I booked this tour for a group of eight, and although I am not a Beatles fan, I found this to be the best excursion of our 12-day cruise. This was primarily because of our guide Paul! His passion for the Beatles and the stories, so many are unaware of, gave me a whole new appreciation for the group. Paul was very accommodating and kept everyone interested. We were on a very comfortable bus, and Bob, our driver, kept us safe in some crazy, tight traffic and streets. If you book this tour, you need to ask for Paul! There can't be anyone who can provide this tour with the passion he delivers. Thanks, Paul!

Absolutely wonderful experience; informative, interesting and wonderfully narrated by Tracey via voice and musically accompanied song! It was exciting to see the childhood homes of three out of the Fab Four; to see their very pleasant neighbourhoods and to put the group’s formation into a chronological timeline perspective! The entire trip was very efficiently managed by Tracey and driver Peter! Bravo!
We have taken other Beatles tours when in Liverpool but this was the best by far. Paul was a wonderful guide, very engaging and the back stories he told us were incredibly interesting and fun. At the various points of interest, we didn’t just stop, but were able to leave the bus and had plenty of time for photos and fun facts! It includes entry into Strawberry Field which we had not done before. Thanks so much for such a great day and experience!! Rick, Dereama, Jason and Stephanie from NC
Great tour! Highly recommend !!! Great tour guy, a ton of knowledge and great sing a longs in the bus :)
Roy, the guide and Mike, the driver were terrific. They worked in tandem to give us a great experience. Roy not only gave us the history but followed up with extra information that helped to connect us more with the time and adventure of the Beatles story.
Very informational about the early years of the Beatles legacy. You realize that were from the same "neighbor hood"
If you are a Beatles fan, this shore excursion is a must tour. We got to go to see the childhood homes of the Beatles members; viewed their childhood homes; visited Strawberry Hills; walked along the streets of Penny Kane and visited the original Cavern Club site. Tracey, our tour guide provided entertaining and informative narratives during the tour.
If you are lucky enough to get Simon X you will have a wonderful time. He was hugely knowledgeable and made the trip very enjoyable.
Great tour! We learned all about the early years of the Beatles. Phil had lots of insights and stories that he’d learned from people who were actually in Liverpool in their early days
The experience was perfect. The only issue was with the van that we rode in. The air conditioning in the back of the van didn’t work well. It was a very hot day in Liverpool. Secondly, there was a lot of feedback from the microphone during the tour. It can be ear piercing in a van. The tour itself was incredible! Our guide Paul was knowledgeable and friendly. I’d do this tour again in a heartbeat!
Our tour guide Paul with purple walking tours was incredible! He had so much passion and knowledge of the Beatles history from their childhood and touring years. Paul had so many historical stories and details at every stop. Highly recommend Paul and this great tour. I’m on a 13 day cruise and this has been the highlight of my trip!!! Thank you for a great day Paul!
The driver was excellent. The tour guide was excellent. He went above and beyond our expectations. He used Beatles music to enhance the tour. Also he used B & W photos to show and tell their history. The most unique insight was behind the scenes stories that most Beatle fans don’t know. We will always remember this tour.Lastly I would hire him in a heartbeat.
Great experience! Lots of information provided about the Beatles. Our guide Paul was fantastic. He told us lots of not well known facts about the Beatles. The small group tour was the best.
Tracy was an exceptional guide. She had so much knowledge of the Beatles. She shared photos and told so many fabulous stories. She gave us amble time to take pictures and ask questions. And, she brought her ukulele and serenaded us with the perfect songs and the best moments. Her love of the Beatles makes a good tour exceptional!!! She is my favorite guide and our favorite tour!!
This is a great tour of the Beatles' homes and early history. George Harrison's home is not accessible, per neighbor disputes.
First - the van was very comfortable with a table between facing seats. The driver, Rob, was excellent especially getting into narrow streets to show us all the sights. Second - our guide, Phil, was knowledgeable, funny, understanding, and made the whole experience extra special. Third - I learned so much about The Beatles before they were known; how they developed; how they actually got together; and where many of their inspirations were found. Seeing where their childhood homes were; their play areas, schools, churches, the streets where they came from and the promoter who promised he would make them bigger than Elvis Presley. We had opportunities to see some of the places close up by getting out of the van and that included Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, and Eleanor Rigby’s gravesite. So much information but it didn’t overwhelm us because Phil is an excellent guide and made the whole excursion lively and informative. If I get back to Liverpool and I’m traveling with someone instead of just myself, I would sign up again for this trip. It was that good! Take it from an 80 year old traveling solo.
