Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful and I learned so much. He was attentive and answered all questions.

Our half-day tour with Tracey was the best tour that we have had on our current trip. In fact, it might be one of the best short tour that we've ever taken. Having done 3 tours in Italy before coming to Liverpool, we can safely say that this tour and Tracey were the best by far. Tracey covered all the sights we wanted to see. She was very informed and we can tell that she put a lot in her research to make her tour very interesting. She has a warm personality and was very funny. She also serenaded us with her uke on many Beatles song. What a tour! Thanks Tracey.
This tour was even better than expected. Our guide was a local with extensive knowledge of the area and the history of the Beatles. We saw more than listed and learned a ton, all while having great fun.
Had an extra day to kill in Dublin, so decided to book the Beatles Viator trip and do the $50 round trip to Liverpool for the day with Ryan Air. Meeting point is at the Titanic Memorial on the pier. If you can get there early, the Beatles statues are a short 5 minute walk away. We had a small 7 person group and our Guide was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Beatles fan. You could probably do this on your own, but you'd have rent a car and do your homework. In my opinion, the price was worth it for this bucket list trip. You'll see all of the advertised spots with ample time for photos. Strawberry Fields was especially interesting as it included a gift shop and the piano that John wrote Imagine on. While at the church hall where John and Paul first met, we were approached by an elderly gentleman who turned out to be the original drummer for the Quarrymen- Colin Hanton. He posed for photos and answered a few questions. I wouldn't expect that on your trip though - he just happened to be there waiting to meet someone. The tour end with a lively walk down Mathew Street, which is packed with Beatles themed bars, restaurants, shops - and of course thr Cavern Club. I would also suggest going to The Liverpool Beatles Museum when your tour ends - it will be right there. Its owned by Pete Best's brother and its loaded with obscure Beatles memorabilia, photos and a gift shop. Not as polished as some of the high end museums but packed with neat stuff - think man cave owned by a Beatles fanatic. Great day and a great trip provided by Viator. Highly recommended.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is a fan of The Beatles. Roy was a wonderful guide for our half day excursion. The 15 seat van was comfy and Ian was a great driver. There was a nice mix of must see places (like their childhood homes except for George's which cannot be accessed) and deep dive places like the location of the Epstein family department store. The highlight was meeting Colin Hanton, the original drummer for the Quarrymen, on the exact spot he and John Lennon first met Paul McCartney. Believe it or not, Roy has been a guide for years and it was his first time ever meeting Colin.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 4-hour tour with our guide Roy! Turned out we had a private experience. We saw great sights and stayed ahead of the big bus tours. It was very fun & informative, both for me, who wanted to learn more about Liverpool history, and for my husband, a big Beatles fan. Roy knew his stuff!
I had waited my whole life to get to Liverpool. This was the best excursion I’ve ever been on. Our guide Tracey was amazing. She brought her ukulele and sang a few songs with a lovely voice. It turned out her uncle Normand Chapman had been a Beatle for 3 shows before Pete Best. Saw everything we could have wanted to see. We even went a little longer than the tour was supposed to be. If you are a Beatles fan this is for you.
This was an excellent tour! Our tour guide and driver were wonderful.
Guide has indepth knowledge about the Beatles, shared some great early pictures and played Beatles in between.
Amazing. A great way to many Beatles Di GB to and to hear lots of background information and stories. Phil is a great guide.
This experience was wonderful for Beatles fans and for general information about London. Our guide, Kevin, was fantastic and he truly took an interest in our group to ensure he was meeting all our interests. He cared whether we had an enjoyable trip overall and not just whether we had a good time on the tour. We cannot say enough good things - just book this tour or any guided tour with this company!
This was a terrific tour. If you can, ask for Mike to be your tour guide. He knew so much about the Beatles. We had a great tour.
As a huge Beatles fan and wanting to see Liverpool for 62 years, this tour gave me everything I hoped for and much more! Not only did we get to see where they grew up, met and played, but Phil’s in-depth background stories about each of them was really fantastic! Phil was the best guide I ever had on any tour, anywhere. He was funny, personable, considerate and EXTREMELY knowledgeable! I will be telling any Beatles fan who asks me to DEFINITELY book this tour and ask for Phil, if possible.
Our tour with Simon was fantastic. His wealth of knowledge about the Beatles as well as all of the history surrounding John, Paul, George and Ringo was incredible. Seeing their childhood homes, the church where they learned to be musicians, the sites that inspired their music(Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, Rigby and Mckenzie family gravesites) was moving. The tour bus was comfortable and nicely appointed. With only 3 couples on the tour it was extremely easy to be engaged in the music and conversations with the group.
Our tour was amazing, and we highly recommend it for any Beatles fans! Our guide was extremely informative and the tour is very comprehensive- taking you everywhere related to the Beatles!
Paul, our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. I’ve been an avid Beatle fan for over 50 years and thought I knew it all, but Paul knew sooo much more. We stopped at almost all the relevant Beatles sites, except George’s house (tour was a little George lite) and ended at the Cavern Club where we learned even more! I would recommend this tour over our cruise ship tour 8 days a week!
Had a wonder experience with Rob from Purple tours. So full of knowledge and little gems about the Beatles. Well worth doing the tour with them. Their BOH staff were also very helpful and responsive when our booking was cancelled for some unknown reason
guide was more interactive with tourist than any other tour. Played good old Beatle music in the bus. Even got out with us at the end of the tour to show us more get places to shop , eat and Beatle history.
Our guide, Tracy was good except hrr voice was not strong enough yo be geard over the crowd and street noise. She didn't wait for the last ppl in the bus to get off before she started talking therefore we had to ask her to repeat herself.
Fun tour with great and knowledgeable guide. Lots to see and learn, highly recommend. Guide likes to test your knowledge too. Part of the fun.
Very well deserved granted and congratulations interesting. The coach driver got us close to all of our stops and everyone was able to walk the short distances. The coach was lovely and clean. Easy off and on. We opted to stay in town and walked back to ship after some shopping and eating. About a 15 minute walk. Loved Liverpool. Loved having only 15 people in our tour.
Simon was an excellent guide and Rob the driver very careful. A fun and educational morning with history of Liverpool thrown in
I was 16 years old when the Beatles came to America for the Ed Sullivan show -- which changed music as we knew it. The Beatles and had a major influence on our lives in other ways as well. To visit the places were they grew up, to see the things and places that influenced them (and their music) was both exciting and awe-inspiring. Our tour guide gave us a lot of background stories that we will remember for a long time. EXCELLENT tour!
Very good tour. Highly recommend. We saw their childhood homes and where they met. Also went to Strawberry Field. It was very entertaining and interesting.
Our guide was very informative. He actually met most of the Beatles over the years. The driver was great. Certainly knows his way thru those narrow streets.
We had the most wonderful experience! Tracey was our guide- she was so passionate and knowledgeable the whole experience was amazing! Her talent with singing and her ukulele is next to none and was an additional that out the turnover the top!
Amazing Beatles tour. Our tour guide Tracey was incredibly knowledgeable and you could see her tremendous love for the band and the city. Her ukulele and Beatles renditions really added that extra something.
It was a great tour for Beatles fans! Our guide, Rob was extremely knowledgeable and personable! I learned so much about the band.
Well worth the time and money. It was a good balance of walking and riding. Very comfortable Mercedes vehicle.
Simon was our tour guide. He is full of knowledge and it was fun being quizzed by him about Beatle trivia. We learned so much. It was relaxing and a very smooth tour. We covered so much. We sang and laughed and he offered to take our pictures everywhere we stopped!!! We were fortunate because it was a small tour. I can’t remember the drivers name at this time but he was very professional, opened our doors and helped us out. He was very friendly and his driving was impeccable!! A great team and we were fortunate!! A lot of little tidbits we ne er knew!! Exvellent tpur!!
It is a great experience especially for people who are the fan of the beatles. Rob is very knowledgeable in both the history of Liverpool and the history of beatles. Rob gave a detailed history of the beatles and the story of the band.
Amazingly informative deep dive into the history of the Beatles. We visited the childhood homes of all the Beatles. Strawberry Fields was a highlight.
We covered just about everything regarding the Beatles on this tour. Our guide, Simon, was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a lot of background pictures as well. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
We had a great experience with Tracey. She was so knowledgeable and her passion for The Beatles was infectious. Added bonus that she is a great ukelele performer and she performs Beatles songs for the group :)
we both had an amazing day with our tour guide Phil! he was brilliant and maintained enthusiasm throughout the duration of the whole trip, our driver Adam was also great! we 100% recommend booking with purple, the details and photo opportunities were just simply amazing and we couldn’t fault a thing, we loved every minute :) Thank you again for having us, it was great actually as it was just myself and my partner on the tour so we can’t complain 😅🤷🏼♀️ 10/10 experience, book with purple !! :)
A very comprehensive tour for anyone interested in the Beatles and it also effectively integrates the culture and history of Liverpool in the narrative.
Outstanding, can't miss tour. Our guide, Paul, Beatles fan extraordinaire, was knowledgeable, insightful, and pleasant who shared his extensive knowledge throughout. Loved seeing all the important sites especially where Paul met John.
Wonderful tour and guide was excellent. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is a Beatles enthusiast.
Very thorough trip through Beatle-related Liverpool with enthusiastic and knowledgable city and band fan!
We had Rob as a tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the Beatles history. He also had some great jokes.
Paul, the guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic Beatle fan. We loved all the stops on the tour.
Rob had encyclopedic knowledge of all things Fab Four and indeed of all aspects of music from the Liverpool area. Very in-depth and we saw all of the important sites all over town that played a role as the Beatles went from being mere lads to global sensations. Our small group saw the neighborhoods and the music places, even the sites of Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields that had such impact on the songs. It was. An unforgettable half day and well worth the cost. Recommended!
An amazing journey to become immersed in the Beatles as they grew up in Liverpool. Our guide, Paul, did an excellent job in going through the lives of the Beatles in Liverpool. As part of a cruise with Viking, we opted for an independent tour arranged by our travel agent….the best decision that we made on the entire cruise! We were met at the port by Paul, and were directed to a Mercedes SUV with only one other guest! Paul, a former teacher, was knowledgable, engaging, and truly loved his job! We went everywhere, but, perhaps the most enlightening stop was at St. Peter’s church, where John and Paul hung out at the community center, and sat on the wall of the cemetery. A few feet away, there’s a gravestone to at includes Eleanor Rigby! By far, this was the most enjoyable tour that we have been on in our years of traveling and cruising. You will not find a better way to go back to the years of the Beatles. Thank you, Paul, and ‘go Everton’! Jim and Elaine
The tour was amazing and Paul was great. He was an amazing tour guide and was full of knowledge. I would highly recommend his tour.
Excellent tour of the Beatles beginnings. The guide was both knowledgeable and passionate about the Beatles. This tour was much more intimate than the larger bus group tours.
This was definitely the best tour to go on! We were in a small group and saw and learned so much about the Beatles! Paul our guide was so knowledgeable!
Lovely well placed trip with an beatles expert. Rob was patient, took pictures and could answer any question. Driver was great too.
Great tour for Beatle enthusiasts and anybody interested in early Beatle history. Simon was our tour guide and did a great job filling us in on all the locations we visited.
This was an awesome excursion! Informative, saw so much ! Learned a lot more of the Beatles. Music on the bus a nice surprise. Great trip. Highly recommend
Great excursion! Our guide Simon possesed an encyclopedic knowledgeable of the Beatles lives and times. He seamlessly integrated that into the 4+ hour tour of the city. Particular highlights were visits to each of their childhood homes and Strawberry Fields. Highly recommended!
