This was a fantastic experience!We had Steve as our guided 3 hours tour . He is absolutely brilliant from booking dates till the end of the tour. He has a great knowledge of the Beatles and was funny with his explanations . We seen the Beatles homes with stories to match . We seen strawberry fields and places they used to meet at . Even went to places where it would match a Beatles song , like penny lane ,the church and gravey etc ..... It included everything that we wanted add more. We would definitely recommend this tour for any Beatles fan.And Steve will take all of your photos.it worth every penny we paid.

Steve was amazing, so knowledgeable and personable. He took his time and explained every site and never rushed us, he answered all our questions. My wife is not the biggest Beatles fan, she was doing this for me and she absolutely loved Steve and the tour. Steve gave us one of the best private tours we’ve ever done, hands down. His knowledge of the Beatles is incredible, but what really made it special was how personal he made it — he has his own connection to the band, and you can feel that history in the way he tells the stories. We saw so much beyond the typical highlights: their childhood homes, the church where their youth group practiced, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, and Eleanor Rigby’s grave. Steve brought a binder of photos for each stop, so you could actually picture what things looked like back then standing right where it happened. He’s also just a genuinely warm, fun person to spend a few hours with. We’re in the process of moving to England ourselves, and Steve went out of his way to share tips and recommendations that had nothing to do with the tour at all. That generosity says a lot about him. As a travel advisor, I’m always evaluating experiences on two levels: how much I enjoyed it myself, and whether I’d recommend the supplier to my own clients. Steven Hughes was an amazing guide! He knows everything there is to know about the Beatles and has music that he plays in the Taxi to make the things you are seeing more relevant. He took pictures of our family at the different Beatles sites. He tells the backstory of each Beatle and their history. We visited so many interesting places. At the end, he gave us a list of books and movies/shows to watch to learn more. Our day started when we departed our cruise ship and went to the Beatles Story. Steve picked us up there and we started the tour. He even took us to the Casbah Coffee Club (he made the reservation in advance for us) for a tour. That was really interesting! We ended at the Cavern Club - what a great place! I had a foot problem and Steve was very patient and accommodating. We had a great day, learned so much and very highly recommend this comprehensive Beatles Experience!

Steve is truly amazing and cares about making your tour as enjoyable and informative as he can. He also was very accommodating for a lady in our group who has some mobility issues. Money well spent for such an enjoyable experience. We were on a cruise so he picked us up at the dock but dropped us off where we requested.

This tour was exceptional…better than what we expected,Steve has a wealth of knowledge of the Beatles …we had our original tour cancelled and definitely lucked out getting this one. We took this tour in March of this year while fulfilling a lifelong dream of seeing Liverpool. I found this tour on the internet and contacted Steve who got back to me immediately to discuss the tour. I informed Steve that I wanted to see EVERYTHING! We booked the tour for the day after arriving and Steve picked us up at the hotel. Steve was born and raised in Liverpool and has spent his entire life there. He is actually a full time cab driver and does Beatles tours in addition, and is enthusiastic about what he does. Steve LOVES the Beatles and has an encyclopedic knowledge about anything that has to do with the Beatles. Just as importantly, Steve has a passion for sharing his knowledge and seems to enjoy the tour as much as his passengers. Steve knows EVERYTHING about the Beatles, including a few secrets not generally known. Because we wanted to see as much as possible, we wound up doing a full seven hour tour. Steve was attentive and engaged and patient throughout. Thanks to Steve, it was an incredible day and we hated to see the it end. This was definitely the tour of a lifetime and we would love to return to Liverpool and do the tour again. It was a real treat to meet Steve and spend the day with him. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Beatles City Taxi Tour with our guide Steve. We visited many sites related to all of the band members. His tour was comprehensive, uplifting, memorable, and joyous. Steve related anecdotes, played music in the car to drop a hint as to our next stop, sang with us, and showed photos as needed to show the sites back in the day. We will always remember this tour. It was definitely more than worth the cost. As former teachers, we would grade it an A+.

It was an ongoing conversion about the Beatles and how they impacted all our lives. We felt like participants rather than observers. I would highly recommend this.

A perfect way to start to our visit to Liverpool! Steve was excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful. What he doesn’t know about The Beatles, and Liverpool in general, isn’t worth knowing! Great tour. Steve, our guide, was really knowledgeable and also told a few odd things. Amongst them about Tommy Moore (?), the drummer. Lovely three hours and I might even buy my first Beatles album. Highly recommend it.

We went to all the Beatles' childhood home plus other locations like Strawberry fields and Penny Lane, where we had a chance encounter with Colin Hanten, the drummer from the Quarrymen. We had a truly amazing time on the Beatles Tour (3 hour length). From pre-tour communication to pick up and drop off our tour was seamless thanks to Steve. He was incredibly accommodating and communicative for our party of 5 (including one child). I’d highly recommend the tour for all who visit Liverpool! We learned so much about the Beatles and their upbringing and always felt like we were one step ahead of the crowds on the larger bus-based tours (because we were!). Thank you, Steve!

Booked a taxi with some friends and the three hour tour was worth every penny ! Steve was great fun throughout the tour and showed us a huge amount. His explanations were interesting and insightful and the time just flew by! Lots of interesting anecdotes and of course a soundtrack that really worked!

Steve’s tour was fantastic he couldn’t have been more helpful before our visit and during the experience even dropping us off at a great vinyl music store we were wanting to visit after our tour. He had amazing knowledge of the Beatles and the various locations across the city. Also was great with some recommendations for pubs we could visit as I love real ales. Cannot recommend this tour enough best way to see the Beatles heritage of Liverpool.

Fantastic experience. Steve is extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour, one of our party has mobility issues and Steve did everything he could to help, even giving her a bottle of water to take tablets. We had age range from 15 to 76 in our group and Steve kept everyone engaged and entertained with his knowledge and stories (and Beatles song requests) Steve was also the photographer and made sure we had plenty of family photos of the experience. This was something I had looked forward to for decades, and it definitely did not disappoint. Steve was a great host. He picked us up exactly on time. He played Beatles music to set the scene for each place we visited. He was very knowledgeable about even minute details concerning the Beatles and their families. It was a wonderful way to understand how and where they came to be a group and how their music was shaped by their surroundings. I loved every minute of it.
