I took my 88yr old friend for a treat We had the Wirral Afternoon Tea She had the savoury and I had the sweet version. I cant complain about the food which was ample and delicious But and I know it was a Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy but the dining room was soulless and disappointing. A nice white tablecloth to hide the wear and tear on the dark wood table would have created some light and elegance to what was a dark room Some light music to create some atmosphere might have helped. I was really disappointed that it didn't live up to the advertising. But as I say the food and service were spot on but I wouldn't travel so far again to repeat the experience

Let me start by saying what an absolutely incredible experience this was from start to finish. We booked a one-night stay with access to the spa, along with a couple of additional treatments, and every part of our visit exceeded our expectations. On arrival, parking was easy and conveniently located close to the entrance. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a beautiful reception area that was immaculately presented, and the staff gave us such a warm welcome. We were quickly checked in, given our spa passes and locker wristbands, and everything was explained clearly. The changing rooms, hallways and facilities were spotless, with easy-to-use lockers and a real sense that the whole place is exceptionally well cared for. The spa itself is fantastic, offering a great variety of facilities including several different jacuzzis, a steam room and even an ice cave. It was the perfect place to unwind, and both my partner and I left feeling completely relaxed. Being able to order food and drinks directly to our loungers outside was another brilliant touch. Our room (I've posted photos) was beautifully presented, spotless and had everything we needed, including a fan, an iron and even a fridge, which was a lovely extra. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the balcony offered a gorgeous view. Every member of staff we met was professional, friendly and genuinely welcoming. They are a real credit to the hotel, and it was a pleasure interacting with them throughout our stay. I'd especially like to thank my massage therapist. I had originally booked a back massage, but after I mentioned I was recovering from a broken rib, she advised against it and suggested an Indian head and neck massage instead. I'm so glad she did. It was absolutely incredible, and I genuinely left feeling like a new man. Years of stress and tension seemed to melt away in a single session. The food was outstanding and easily lived up to its award-winning reputation. Every meal was excellent, and I couldn't fault a single thing. Without a doubt, this is one of the best hotels and spa experiences I've ever had. It was worth every penny, and I already can't wait to return. A huge thank you to every member of staff for making our stay so memorable, and a special thank you once again to my massage therapist.

We’ve just had a lovely stay here. We’ve been several times over the years and it’s always brilliant but this time we had some lovely interactions with staff. Can honestly say you just don’t get this level of hospitality at other hotels. All staff went above and beyond but Carl and the other gentlemen at the bar and the concierge guy are a truly rare find in this day and age and they make that stay a little more special. The spa is nice, outdoor seating is sparse and would be ideal for staff to implement an no “bed saving culture” we were there for 2 hours where beds/seats were not occupied but had belongings/towels on. Pool access untill departure rather than only the day of arrival would enhance stay/experience. Instagram advertises happy hour 2pm - 6pm but it’s actually 3-6pm so don’t get caught out by heading there for 2pm like we did. We look forward to returning

Easy to get to- just off the motorway. Staff were incredible and so accommodating, getting us drinks whenever and upgrading our room free of charge for our anniversary. Special shoutout to worker/bartender Dan who was so lovely and personable, he really made our experience 10 times better. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Feel like we made our money back and then some.
