Great place, central to all the shops, Liverpool one and just a 10 minute walk to the Albert doc if your mobility is good, if not just 5 mins to Queens square bus station then get the 10a to Liverpool one bus station. Citadeens was great, staff were very good, friendly and polite, we stayed in a studio apartment was nice and big. All you need for a base. Has cooker, microwave, fridge, all you need for a pleasant stay. There are laundry facilities on the 3 rd and 5 th floors, you help yourself to clean towels. We asked to see a one bedroom apartment whilst we were there. Would book a one bedroom apartment next time. One bedroom apartment have washing machine and tumble dryers in the bathrooms. Based over 5 floors. Was very quiet, triple glazing, we had apartment beside the lift but was very quiet didn't hear anyone coming or going. There is also a gym on the premises and meeting rooms if you need them.

Reviews
Here's a polished version of your Google review that keeps your enthusiasm while improving the flow and readability: An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Liverpool! We booked both an apartment and the conference room for an event, and from our very first point of contact, the service was exceptional. On the day of the event, everything was perfectly organised, making the whole experience completely hassle-free. Check-in was quick and easy, and a special mention goes to the fantastic team on reception. Despite being incredibly busy, they greeted everyone with genuine smiles and were always welcoming, professional, and happy to help with any questions we had. The apartment itself was excellent—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and finished to a high standard. We had an amazing stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the city. A huge thank you to everyone at Citadines City Centre Liverpool. You really are top drawer, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend you to others! If you'd like, I can also make it sound a little more personal or even more glowing to maximise its impact on Google Reviews.
We’ve stayed here three times, and only one of those stays met even basic cleanliness standards. The other two were far from acceptable. We found dirty bed sheets, dirty old walls, pee stains on the bathroom floor, dusty surfaces and tables, and an overall lack of hygiene throughout the apartment. When we raised these issues with housekeeping, the response was surprisingly rude and defensive. We were told that unless we specifically listed every single thing we wanted cleaned and changed, they simply wouldn’t clean it. That’s not what guests should have to do. We booked extended stays, only to find out that housekeeping is provided once every four days. Any additional cleaning comes at an extra charge, which is unreasonable considering the level of cleanliness we experienced in the first place. Another constant frustration was the room key cards. They are old paper cards that stop working several times a day, forcing you to return to reception repeatedly just to have them reactivated. Overall, the cleanliness, housekeeping standards, and maintenance need significant improvement. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
We had a lovely stay at Citadines by Ascott, and I wanted to thank all of the wonderful staff for their kindness. Unfortunately, a couple of things went wrong during our stay. The mattress in our first room was stained, so we were moved straight away without any fuss. Later, the casting on the TV wasn't working, but the maintenance team were so friendly and quickly came to help. What really stood out was how much the staff cared. They left us a lovely apology letter with a box of chocolates, which made my 20-year-old autistic daughter so happy. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really cheered her up. On our checkout day, the staff noticed I was struggling to get my daughter ready to leave by 11am, and they very kindly gave us an extra hour before checkout. That understanding and compassion meant so much to us. I also want to mention the accessible room. It was incredibly spacious and one of the best disabled rooms I've stayed in, with excellent accessibility. Things can sometimes go wrong anywhere, but it's how a hotel deals with them that really matters. The staff went above and beyond to make things right, and because of that, we would happily stay here again. Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome.
We had a very good stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was outstanding—extremely clean and well maintained throughout the property. The location was also excellent, with everything within easy walking distance. It was less than a 5-minute walk to the city centre, the station, and Matthew Street, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The staff were very polite and professional, always helpful and respectful. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with great accessibility and excellent service.
