We honestly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. From the very beginning, the team at the hotel were amazing. They stayed in regular contact with me throughout the planning process and were always happy to answer any questions I had. We met twice before the wedding to go through the drinks, the plans for the day and all the little details, which really put my mind at ease. Knowing everything was being taken care of made such a difference and allowed me to enjoy the build-up rather than worry about the details. The day itself was absolutely everything we had dreamed of and more. The timings throughout the day were perfect, and the staff ensured everything flowed seamlessly, right down to the minute. Despite how carefully everything was coordinated, it never felt rushed or stressful. We could simply relax, enjoy ourselves and take in every special moment, knowing the team had everything under control. One moment that really showed me just how caring and attentive the staff were was when the wind caught my veil and completely messed up my hair! As a bride, you can imagine the panic! The two members of staff with me immediately reassured me that they would sort it and that everything would be fine. As soon as we got indoors, they gave me some water, fixed my veil and hair and, most importantly, calmed me down. It might seem like a small thing, but in that moment it meant absolutely everything to me. They genuinely cared about how I was feeling and made sure I was okay. The venue itself was absolutely stunning. The top floor, with its beautiful balcony, was spectacular, and the ceremony room with the Liver Buildings and Liverpool Cathedral in view was simply breathtaking. So many of our family and friends commented on how beautiful the venue was and how incredible the views were. It really was the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. In fact, my 73-year-old dad, who has made it very clear that he has no intention of ever getting married again, said that if he ever did, this would be the place he would book! He also said it was the best wedding he had ever been to in his life — which we think says everything! Another thing that really stood out to us was the care and attention given to our family members with food allergies. Two members of our family have allergies, and the staff made such an effort to ensure they were fully catered for. They knew exactly what they could and couldn’t eat, checked everything with them and made them feel just as special and included as everyone else. That level of care meant so much to us and was something we’ll never forget. The food was fantastic, the venue was beautiful, the organisation was faultless, and most importantly, the staff genuinely cared about making our day special. From the first conversations during the planning stages right through to the wedding day itself, we felt completely looked after. It truly was the most perfect, beautiful day, and honestly, I wish we could do it all over again. If you’re thinking about getting married here, do it — you absolutely will not regret choosing this venue. The setting, the views, the incredible team and the attention to every little detail made it worth every single penny we spent. We didn’t just have a wedding day; we created a lifetime of happy memories that we will treasure forever. ❤️ Thank you so much Shauna and Hannah and the rest of the wonderful team at Hope Street Hotel for making our day perfect. I stayed here three nights while on a golfing tour. Loved it. The rooms are immaculate. Very modern, spacious and comfortable. The service was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great part of the city too. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
A great characterful hotel in Liverpool, lots of old exposed brickwork and feels like a place where a lot of close attention to detail has been achieved to make this a unique, friendly and very comfortable place to stay in Liverpool. There is also a spa in the hotel and a good bar for evening drinks. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant offers a bit of everything and service is good as well, location is great for cathedral visit and a short walk down into the hustle and bustle of pubs and restaurants in central Liverpool. Uber cabs are plentiful so getting around from this hotel is really easy.
We had an amazing stay at Hope Street Hotel and could not fault the experience. A special thank you to Martina, who was lovely from the moment we checked in. She made us feel really welcome and also checked in with us during our stay to see how we were finding everything, which was a really nice touch. When we arrived, we were also told our room had been upgraded as it was a special occasion for my wife’s birthday, which made the stay feel even more special. The spa was really nice, the restaurant was lovely, and all the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a brilliant stay and we would definitely recommend Hope Street Hotel.
I had a wonderful stay at Hope Street Hotel and would gladly return. From the initial booking, the staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful. The hotel itself is lovely, a perfect blend of old and new with plenty of quirky character. My king-size bed was exceptionally cozy and made for a great night's sleep. As someone with celiac disease, I was particularly impressed by the restaurants and bar; the food quality was excellent, and the team was fantastic at navigating gluten-free options, so much choice at breakfast and was so grateful for a selection of gluten free bread and gluten free cereal. I also tried the thermal experience at the spa. While the facilities are lovely, at £45 I felt the price point for hotel guests was a bit steep (if it had been £35 for hotel guests, that would have been more aligned with the offering). The serene atmosphere was unfortunately disrupted by a few loud groups in the spa taking photos and videos, drinking cocktails, and enjoying lively conversations. Not quite what I was hoping my quiet afternoon thermal experience would have been, it's not exactly a large space. Additionally, all the shower dispensers were empty of soap and shampoo, so there was nothing to wash up with at the end, and providing a fresh, separate towel for the post-spa shower would have been appreciated. Overall, I do highly recommend Hope Street and will absolutely be back when I’m next in Liverpool!
