Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre, An Ihg Hotel

I've had a really positive experience at the Crowne Plaza Spa and Sports Centre, and I would especially like to mention the fantastic staff and management. Clewi at reception is amazing and always so friendly, welcoming and helpful, as usual. Fiona, the manager, is also fantastic. She deals with any problems in a very professional way and clearly cares about getting things sorted properly. Helen is also wonderful, always so welcoming with a warm smile. And I have to mention Tom, who's one of the kindest and calmest people I've met there. His friendly, respectful manner really makes a difference and adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Overall, the professionalism, kindness, and excellent service from the team make a big difference, and I really appreciate it.

We had a great two-night stay here and overall had a very positive experience. The highlight of our stay was the excellent customer service from the team. Every member of staff we met was friendly, helpful, and professional, providing a consistently high level of service. A special mention goes to Mark at reception and Caroline at the bar, who both made us feel very welcome and looked after us extremely well. We stayed in a family room, which was upgraded for us, and the team kindly arranged for our two rooms to be opposite each other, which was very convenient for our family. We also used the swimming pool and had breakfast in the restaurant, and the service in both areas was excellent. The hotel’s location is fantastic, and having ample onsite parking with a discounted rate for hotel guests was a advantage. There are a few areas where the hotel could be improved. The rooms are starting to feel a little dated, and we were surprised that there was no mini fridge in the room. For a family room for three guests, the complimentary drinks provided were only one can of still water and one can of sparkling water, which felt a little limited. That said, these points did not take away from an otherwise excellent stay. The outstanding staff, great location, family-friendly service, and convenient parking made our visit very enjoyable. We would happily consider staying here again when visiting Liverpool.

First impressions outside and of the newly refurbished lobby and bar/restaurant area are great. Unfortunately the rooms look dated in comparison. Asked for a quiet room, was kindly upgraded to a room overlookng the docks and Liver Bird building but unfortunately also a main road which was noisy through the night. Luckily was able to change to a room at the back eventually. Room was clean but tired with marks on desk, damaged side table, grouting in bathroom etc. Aircon is not full aircon as per the website but air handling which doesn't really cool the room down much. This does make a difference when it's hot! No fridge, got ice from the bar but they were struggling to keep up with demand during the heatwave. Restaurant & bar staff brilliant and food good and a wide menu. Reception staff more business like. Lounge area a great place to chill after a day out. Location fantastic on the docks and not far from most major attractions.

Loved staying here. Room was fab and had a great view, very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was brilliant though expensive was worth it as we didn't need to eat agian til teatime. I dont usually like buffet breakfast but this was very fresh and had great staff and service. Fantastic location close to James st station, Liverpool One a straight walk along the front and a lovely walk. Great family friendly pool as 4ft 4 througout so no change in depth. Would definitely stay here again
