Having stayed here before, I decided to come with my sister who was visiting from the USA, we arrived a little earlier than the 3 pm check in, around 1pm, and I knew the room wouldn't be ready, but wanted to make sure we could leave the car, unfortunately the receptionist was less than welcoming, we were told check in isnt till 3pm, she didnt ask if we had stayed before or that we could use the facilities, first impressions count. On check in Jill the duty manager won us round she was so friendly and helpful. We went to our room which was a nice size and clean, with a side sea view as a corner room. Just a couple of issues the bathroom bin wasnt emptied when serviced, we did mention this, but what i didnt expect it would be the night manager at 10.30pm who knocked on our door to change, we declined the offer as were in bed. The tea tray not fully refilled, luckily we had taken teabags, and got milk from reception. The plugs in both bath and sink did not drain unless you held them up. Breakfast was delicious, the poached eggs were perfect, and the breakfast staff and bar staff were all friendly and helpful. On checking out at 10.30am, the receptionist took the key and said nothing owing, its the first time I havent been asked if we had had a good stay, which is a nice touch. I am visiting again at the end of the month with my husband, hopefully the receptionists will be more welcoming, its a lovely hotel, so it hasn't put me off just a tweak for reception perhaps, be more like Jill.

Katherine made sure we had an amazing wedding breakfast. Thanks for a great day. Staff and food were top notch.
The new managers are so lovely and welcoming. They remembered us from the last time we had lunch which, we thought, was a lovely touch. The food is absolutely delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended! Pictures attached are: - Cheese and onion pie with Jenga chips. - Minced Rib Eye of Beef and potato pie with mash, veg and gravy. - Meat Feast Pizza with extra Pepperoni and extra cheese.
Rooms dated and dusty. Headboard was thick with dust. No fridge in the room. Coffee stains on window sill. Receptionist abrupt and not very welcoming. Food was nice. Good location but overpriced
Just stayed here overnight with my husband using the bed, breakfast and evening meal package. It was our first stay at this hotel, and it certainly won’t be the last. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, the hotel is spotless and beautifully decorated. The hotel facing the sea front, we chose a sea view room as a birthday treat. Food was excellent, served by very helpful pleasant staff. In the morning we had a stroll to the shops just 2 mins walk away. Can’t wait to return and this is going to be our ‘go to’ when we want to stay at Lytham again… in fact I want to live in Lytham one day 🙏
