Wow! We have stayed here most years since they opened in 2003. We have a big family so always needed 2 rooms. This time was the first time only 2 of our now adult kids came and paid for their own rooms - allowing hubby and me to book a suite on the top floor! It was just the best experience ever opening the door and finding a self contained apartment within! The living room looked directly out onto the Pleasure Beach. The toiletries were all gorgeous, there were dressing gowns and slippers. For the price of £1000 for 4 nights and breakfast included, this was worth every penny. The only very minor complaint was that the shower was cool sometimes. Not every time - i think it's when a lot of people in the hotel are using hot water at the same time. We loved our stay and would have wanted to stay much, much longer. It really was our best hotel stay ever!!!

The staff in the hotel are excellent, very polite, helpfull and always smiling. We stayed here on a Saturday night (2 adults, 2 children), and got free pleasure beach tickets for the Sunday. Breakfast was an additional £19 for all of us, and with us travelling to various hotels/destinations with us having children I have to say that this was the BEST all you can eat breakfast I've had. Also I must add that we left a children's toy in the room, contacted the hotel the following day and someone from housekeeping had found it, they packaged it up and I've just collected it. Excellent service all round! Recommended highly.
Absolutely beautiful hotel, well and truly exceeded expectations. Immaculately clean, vip entrance to pleasure beach. We stayed in a family room and couldn't fault anything. Free upgrade to park view room too!! So polite and cater for every need. Breakfast was outstanding with a huge selection. Already booked to come back again. Didn't want to come home.
Rollercoasters, a Kids' Den, and a Top-Tier Breakfast! Another brilliant stay 🎢🥞 This was our second time staying at the Big Blue Hotel, and once again, it absolutely delivered! We stayed the night before hitting the Pleasure Beach, and having the park entry included in the stay makes it unbelievably good value for a family. The rooms are brilliant—spacious, absolutely immaculate, and the boys absolutely loved having their own little "kids' den"! Looking right out the window and getting a view of the theme park is such a fun touch that really builds the excitement. The room had literally everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a lovely hospitality tray stocked with teas and coffees to help us wind down after a busy day. But the real highlight of the stay has to be the breakfast! It’s a full cooked buffet and you can really taste the quality—proper, high-quality bacon, sausages, and eggs. They also had a fantastic spread of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, and juices, plus really good quality tea and coffee to get us properly fueled up for a day of rides. A massive thank you to all the staff, who were super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. I want to give a special shoutout to the guys working in the dining room—they were absolutely brilliant and really made our morning. We will definitely be coming back for stay number three. Highly recommended!
Booked a double for myself and my 7 year old son, arrived at 11.30 and was told we had a free upgrade and although check in isn’t untill 3pm, it was ready for us straight away. Thank you. Asked which day I wanted the park tickets for, we chose the current day (wish we said the next day!) we had missed the opening for the VIP entrance but was told it will reopen at 5.30 to go back through. But no one said where it was, I spent an hour asking attendants where the big blue hotel entrance was. Room was great, PlayStation for the kids, which couldn’t be played unless you paid £5 per game, which I gave in to! Gluten free menu for dinner wasn’t great, they gave me the ingredients list for every single item and I had to cross reference every ingredient rather than a specific gluten free menu. My son had a ‘make you’re own pizza’ he was excited for this and loved it, however I saw the next day that children are given a chefs hat and apron with this, he didn’t get those. I asked for help with the PlayStation not working, management came up and fixed instantly! Next day, woken up to knocking on the door, my son panicked and I opened to cleaners walking up and down the corridor asking if they can clean, I explained I’m only here for one night and leaving in 2 hours so it’s not needed. Breakfast was great, gluten free was amazing, cooked a special plate for me and the staff that served me that morning was clued up on cross contamination which was refreshing to hear! Slightly unhappy with the cost of the children’s breakfast, it was approx £10 and to be honest, my son only ate 1 sausage and a spoon of scrambled egg before he was done. Check out was easy, staff allowed me to keep my luggage locked away so as could enjoy the rest of our day and collect them when we was leaving. The complimentary mints on the counter were a hit with my son, grabbing one everytime we walked through! Room was spotless and lovely. We would come again for sure.
