Miguel was a great tour guide, telling us about the history of each town we visited and gave us time to explore on our own. He was very kind and funny and made the tour enjoyable. He recommended a great restaurant and a lovely woman named Maria that was selling the most delicious nuts and cookies. We also tasted the best ginja at our last stop and toured the shop where it was made, do not buy it from the other tourist shops in Obidos. Overall it was a lovely tour and would highly recommend!

Thanks to our driver Diego, our tour progressed nicely. We never felt rushed, yet covered a lot of information and extra questions we had about Portugal. The tour company had great connections in the communities we visited which enhanced our experience. Great day out!

Loved the three towns that we went to, especially Obidas! Since some people were constantly running late, it made us have very little time there. Pedro was very patient and kind and had lots of information for us!

Do not book this operator. They sent me an email confirming, then charged me and then sent me a note saying they were looking forward to the tour etc….and at 11:04 pm the night before they cancelled. If I wouldn’t have checked email, I would have shown up. And because of them, a bunch of other things had to be moved around. So you don’t know your going to cancel a tour until 11:00 pm the night before!? What a joke! It was too late to grab another tour. And the note was ridiculous.,..see below. It’s a “bummer”? Be professional you idiots, it’s more than a bummer. And you didn’t even return my messages. Your negligence caused a domino effect and more $. I would highly recommend this day trip tour as it provided a chance to visit a number of places outside Lisbon . Fátima was very unexpected while the natural beauty of Nazare was amazing. The history of Obidos was so interesting making the 3 locations quite a contrast to each other. Philippe was an excellent driver and tour guide 👍

The weather was quite rough but our guide, Tiago, was fantastic. He went out of his way to give us the best experience possible. He made reservations for our lunch at Nazare at a fish/seafood restaurant just across from the fish market. We had grilled sea bass which was excellent. The waiter made a great wine recommendation since I was not familiar with Portuguese wine. The white wine he recommended was also excellent. We learned a lot about Fatima from Tiago. Also enjoyed Ginjinha, a sour cherry cordial served in chocolate cup, in Obidos.

Great places visited in a single day, driver is knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Even when the tour didn’t meet minimum persons, it was not cancelled.

A good day! We were picked up in Lisbon and instantly felt warmly welcomed by our guide. He was fun, entertaining and informative. He gave us lots of information on the history of Lisbon and at each stop. We particularly liked the village of Obidos. It is Medieval and decorated so cute for Christmas, even had hand-roasted chestnuts and mulled Christmas wine. I was so very excited about Nazare and the potential for big waves. Not today 🙃 oh well... now I can at least say I have been to the location of the worlds largest waves. We had a n8ce lunch of fresh seafood. I would recommend.

My adult family of 4 had a wonderful time. The guide was very knowledgeable, an excellent driver, and friendly. We enjoyed each stop, but especially Nazare; pleased it was our longest stop. Highly recommend for a day trip when in Lisbon.

This was a great way to see the highlights of these three places. Each place is worthy of at least a full day, but if you do not have the time for longer visits, this is a great alternative. Pick-up location was easy to find and we left promptly. The van was large and fit all 8 of us on the tour plus our driver/guide. We visited on a very busy weekend day, so our tour guide did pivot to allow us more time at the site and less time looking for parking. Before each stop, our guide gave us some history and context for the area. In Fátima, he escorted us in, gave us an overview of the site and gave us about an hour to explore. Nazaré was very busy, but we were hoping to see the waves and surfers. Our guide recommended a few places for lunch. We had a delicious seafood lunch with an amazing view & then walked down to the lighthouse to watch the surfers. Óbidos was hosting a Christmas market & was extremely packed. Once again, our guide provided us with some history & instructions on some of the highlights and how to get there- even with the crowds, it was a beautiful town to visit. Our guide was Hugo and he was wonderful- good balance of information without overloading us. If we had questions, he was very comfortable with giving us more in depth information. Also, gave us some great tips and info for Lisbon and had an excellent playlist for the ride between stops!

We did the trip with Matthias who was our guide and driver. Pick up was on time and the whole tour was a pleasant experience. The vehicle was in good condition and the time with Matthias felt safe. He was quite good with his explanation about each place and gave us sufficient time to explore. The way he changed the itinerary to arrive at Obidos lastly gave us the opportunity to explore the X'mas Market (great move and thank you Matthias !!).

A really enjoyable day, saw some wonderful places which I would have never gotten to on my own, as a solo traveller, Our guide Tiago was excellent really informative, patient and kind, a wonderful truly memorable day.

A nice exploration of nazare obidos and Fatima. Favourite was obidos Christmas market which felt very different than any Xmas market i experienced. The tour was a perfect balance of guided and self guided so you have freedom to experience each space on your own.

We had a brilliant day with Hugo our driver and guide. His driving was excellent. His knowledge of the towns we visited was extensive and his English very good. There were only 8 guests on the tour so very friendly. The town of Fatima was our biggest surprise. We were so focused on going to Nazaré that when we called in at Fatimà we didn’t know what was there. Wow wow wow. It was incredible the scale and the passion of the site. Nazaré didn’t have the 30m waves happening but it was great to visit such a famous place. Óbidos was another surprise. So ancient and beautiful. We are so glad we took this tour and so impressed with Hugo.

Confusing meeting point with not even a visible street number. No effort to look for me. The tour left me. Unfriendly. I placed a refund request which was "carefully" considered in less than four minutes. Never to be hired again!!

The tour was informative, well organized and perfect day trip from Lisbon. The one hour time spent in Fatima was just enough. Obidos gives you a glimpse of a quintessential medieval walled town. A great stop for gelato just inside the walled gate to the town. And the trip to Nazare’ has been on my bucket list. No big waves on the day we visited but just seeing the location of the 100 foot waves was amazing. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and explained the high points of each location. There was just the right mix of guided tour and time we spent on our own. I would recommend this tour

We booked basically to see Nazare’ but turned out our favorite spots were Fatima and Óbidos! Truly enjoyed those 2 cities

I took this tour to Fatima with my family. I left a pair of very high priced sunglasses in the backseat and when I tried to retrieve them, the company, the tour guide and Viator would not help me. I would never use them again.

We absolutely loved this tour! Hugo was a wonderful tour guide and driver. All 3 places were very interesting and I especially enjoyed those huge waves at Nazare. The views were amazing! The walled village Obidos had interesting shops and the fact that all the walls and intact is unbelievable. The story of the 3 Sheppard children who saw the appearance of the Virgin Mary in Fatima was very interesting to learn about. I highly recommend this tour! Don’t forget to tip your guide!!!

Guel(?) was an extraordinary guide on our trip to Óbidos, Nazare and Fatima. He was personable, well informed and a fantastic driver. We enjoyed his historical references and kind demeanor. Bravo!

The bus was very clean and comfortable. The places we visited were beautiful. The driver/guide could have been more expressive. We spent a lot of time on the bus with hardly any conversation.

We had a great time with Hugo and our small group, there were only eight of us. Hugo was very knowledgeable, and I loved the way he explained history in such a simple and easy to digest way. He thoughtfully gave his mobile number when we started, as a back up if we need it

The tour itself was nice, but to maximize profit, two adults were asked to sit next to the driver in a van. It was dangerously tight and uncomfortable. We couldn’t sit straight, and I couldn’t move my legs or arms once the door was shut. I wouldn’t recommend the tour from the company as it felt unsafe and uncomfortable squeezed into a van like that.

My wife and I had a great day touring Nazare, Obidos, and Fatima! Eddy was a great tour guide! Even though it rained, we still managed to have an awesome time! Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!

We had a great time on our tour to Fatima, Nazaré and Obidos with our tour guide Edi! He engaged in interesting and fun conversations during the transport from site to site, shared historic and fun facts with the group, and gave us great recommendations for restaurants during the day tour plus recommendations for the remainder of our trip in Portugal. Our favorite spot was Obidos! It was a cute town within the castle walls. Nazare was breezy but beautiful and Fatima was impressive as well. Great time overall!

The tour was great. Very organized and excellent communication with the tour company. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, entertaining and safe driver as well. Our van was clean and comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer at our 3 destinations but I think 8-9 hrs is adequate. Our tour guide also recommended places to eat @ Nazare as well as the best place to try (and purchase) the fruity liquorish drink served on a small chocolate shaped cup (Ginza I think is the name) in Obidos which was very good. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend this trip.

The locations were amazing and well worth the trip. There was very little that the guide actually shared with us about any of the locations. Most of the information we received was either from on site people, or information that we read once we arrived. Matt was nice and friendly. However, he seemed more like just a driver and not that knowledgeable about the areas we visited. Plus, he drove like a maniac on the highways; far exceeding the posted speed limits.

The small group tour was wonderful. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant, friendly. Each site we went to was well worth the time and price. Unforgettable

Van was a bit small for 8 people plus driver. Was uncomfortable for 1 1/2 hour drive. Then again for 1 hour drive. Drive for 30 minutes was ok.

Excellent tour to Fatima, Nazare and Obidos with Hugo! Very attentive, informative and personable! Definitely recommend to anyone looking to tour these areas.

Eddy from Modern Tours was nothing short of excellent. Without his fabulous engaging personality, encyclopaedic knowledge of the Portuguese history and a professional but warm and friendly manner, our trip would not have been nearly as enjoyable. The trip was a combination of understanding some of the faith via Fátima, similar with Óbidos but with a real example of life in an historical Fortified town from 300 BC to the natural phenomenon that is Nazare. If you are a surfer or simply care to witness natures force, don’t miss it. PS. you must meet Catharina and taste her delicious cookies and lunch at Northpoint (the grilled sardines are a specialty). Well organized, nice traveling with a small group in a very nice air conditioned van. The sights were interesting and a nice break from the “big city” of Lisbon. A major highlight was having Tiago as our guide- he was engaging, professional, knowledgeable and very personable!!!

Had a great day! Two very nice couples were with us in the van. Our driver, Tiego, was very friendly, knowledgeable and proud to share the history of the areas we visited. He had some great anecdotes that kept the discussion in the van going. Very nice experience!

This tour was incredible. Our guide Filipe (apologies on spelling if incorrect) was amazing and gave so much history in the best way. The breakdown of the lengths of time at each location was perfect and little details made the trip. Highly recommend!
