It’s a log day but you won’t want to miss any of the sights along the way. We decided at the last minute to go to Fatima and our guide Susanna obliged and we were able to squeeze in this important pilgrimage destination. She really did a great job while making a pivot from the original itinerary to add this additional stop.

We had beautiful tour with Rui, who was knowledgeable, thoughtful and kind. Very interesting historical facts were present during this tour, beautiful views and history. We had a blast! Thank you Rui!
Nuno Moura made a perfect day for us , bringing us to beautiful historical sites.Nuno is very knowledgeable, friendly and generous. He treated us with tasty pastries and coffee. We learned about Portugal history so much but the most important knowledge is people of Portugal and Nuno will be remembered as real friend in this new to us country. Thank you Nuno!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Susana and cannot recommend her highly enough! Our group included older parents, my husband and me, and our 11 year old son, and Susana went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the day. She was incredibly kind, patient, flexible, and genuinely cared about making the experience special for each of us. What impressed us most was her knowledge. We have traveled quite a bit, and I can honestly say that Susana is one of the most knowledgeable people we have ever met when it comes to the history and culture of Portugal. Every site came alive through her stories and explanations, and her passion for sharing her country’s history was truly inspiring. She also adapted the day to our family’s needs without hesitation. When our plans had to change unexpectedly, she was understanding, accommodating, and made sure everyone was taken care of. She even brought us to a wonderful local restaurant, which became one of the highlights of our trip. By the end of the day, Susana felt less like a tour guide and more like a friend. Her warmth, professionalism, and expertise made this one of our favorite experiences in Portugal. If you are considering a tour, ask for Susana. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend the day with her, and when we return to Portugal, she will be the first person we contact.
Susana was an amazing guide. She was like family by the end of the trip. We will 100% come back for more tours just to visit and catch up with her. She knows everything. We are big history fans and her knowledge and passion was contagious. 10/10 a must do tour if your in Portugal. The highlight of the trip.
Really enjoyed this tour. The UNESCO sites have amazing architecture and history, yet are not overrun with large crowds. Nuno was our guide for the day. He took the time to find out our interests and stopped at a couple of other places that he thought would interest us.
Our guide Joan was an expert on our sites and Portugal’s history. Also very friendly and a pleasure to spend time with
My sister and I were taking the tour with my 85-year old mother. Juan was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable! Thank you so much for a wonderful day, Juan.
Susana was an excellent tour guide.!!! We had such a wonderful trip to three historical sites. She was personable, informative, and kind. She is a professional tour guide with a wealth of interesting details about the history of her country. We highly recommend Susana. She does personal guided tours to variety of places in Portugal so there are many options to choose. We wish we had time to do more travels with Susana.
Great trip. Joao was very knowledgeable and a wonderful guide. He helped bring the monuments to life. We would travel with him again in a heartbeat. The trip was one of the highlights of our stay in Portugal.
Definitely recommend Van Go Tourism. All details of our visit to Sintra were planned perfectly and the day was flawless. Nuno was our guide and he was so fun and informative. We had no worries about anything. Nuno kept us motivated and moving, lots of steps and walking. Sintra and the Moorish castle, Peña Palace and Quinta da Regaleira were all beautiful!! We 10 star recommend!!!! Thank you so much Kev & Dani
Today we finished a multi-day itinerary in Portugal and we are very satisfied with the performance of the company Van Go Tourism, from the design of the program, communication with the reservations department, to the execution of the tours throughout the country, passing through all the places in the our preference and also adding some time to this program for shopping and visiting football stadiums, trying to please all members of our family. The guide always tried to give us family time for meals, shortened waiting times and adapted to our choices without any problems. Their Vans were always clean, immaculate and smelling good.
We (couples) had a wonderful experience in the last week of August this year with both Susana & Margrida right from the very beginning of our contact till the tours execution. I was very happy with Margrida’s prompt responses and suggestions during the initial stages of planning of our 3 full-day tours outside Lisboa. We were notified of the slight modification with sufficient time on hand and thankfully were able to adjust accordingly. We had a great experience touring for those 3 days with Susana, our charming delightful and knowledgeable guide. She was flexible with our pickup timing for our first day tour( the 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites) as we had landed the previous evening after a long journey. Everything went smoothly despite the few times I had to slow down my walking pace( I do have a knee issue) and it didn’t lead to any skipping of sites that were scheduled for the day! Fortunately, we managed it all on time. My husband & I had a fantastic time at all our 3 tours (day1 - 3 monasteries; day2 - Evora & day3- Coimbra). We were supplied with sufficient portable water bottles for all 3 days. The vehicle was in pristine condition. This was our 3rd time visit to Portugal. With a contented heart and broad smile, we bid farewell to both Susana & Margrida while being dropped off at our hotel. We definitely would recommend their services and when we return next in future, would definitely book them once again. Obrigada Susana & Margrida for these sweet memories (that will be cherished) and the comfortable service rendered to us. All the very best :)
Susana was very helpful and knowledgeable, and we enjoyed the tour very much. Next time we travel in Potugal, we would like to have her as our guide again. Thank you very much!
Our driver/guide Jorge was excellent in historical background of the 3 castles we visited. He was patient , courageous, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour very much under Jorge’s guidance.
We had an excellent tour to Alcobaca, Batalha & Tomar Monasteries. Our tour guide Joao from VangoTourism conveniently picked us up from our apartment in Lisbon and the trip was very well organized. He was extremely knowledgeable about history and monasteries and managed tour very effectively. Overall we loved the tour and we would recommend it. It was a good value for the money. Joao was attentive to our needs which added to the sense of relaxation, and made it more memorable. Great trip!!
The tour is fantastic, our guide Antonio is very kind and competent, I highly recommend this experience
Perfect, beautiful places, exceptional guide who through his work transmits us a lot of knowledge about the country in general, I highly recommend.
We loved our day with João our very attentive guide who told us the history of the kings of Portugal, the Templars, the Order of Christ, and the Cistercians through the visits of these three fabulous monuments. João knew a multitude of fascinating anecdotes about the history of these monuments. The van was very comfortable, we left at 8am from Lisbon and came back at 7pm. Very nice day with him.
We dedicated a day of our stay in Portugal to the tour of the 3 UNESCO World Heritage monasteries. The tour is worth the cost of the ticket - each monastery costs 6 euros but with 15 euros you can buy the ticket for all three sites. Due a ranking: 1. TOMAR - of the 3 Tomar (both for monastery and city) is the one that stands out most. The monastery is distinguished by the various cloisters. 2. ALCOBACA - interesting story of the two lovers and very beautiful kitchens and dormitories 3. BATALHA - interesting the incomplete part If you have a day to dedicate to this small tour it is definitely worth it
