Sintra Small-group Tour From Lisbon (Max 8) With Tickets Included

Great day! Exceeded expectations as this was one of my first small group tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and told all the stories with passion. You can tell he enjoys what he does. Finishing the day with Pena Palace was a perfect strategy to avoid the early morning crowds. We also had lunch at a small seaside restaurant with fresh fish and great wine. Highly recommend!

Highlight of our trip to Portugal due in equal parts to Miguel, his organization of the day and the sights that we witnessed. He managed to personalize and include each traveller so that after a short time, we all felt we were travelling with friends. Thougtful details included extra clothing for guests in unexpected conditions, out-of-the-way beach/bar visit which also allowed us to arrive at the more popular areas at less busy times.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Miguel was an incredibly knowledgeable tour guide/driver, and the day was well organized. He provided historical context and a brief description for each place we visited and allowed us lots of time to explore on our own, which was a great balance. As some of the stops can get busy with other large groups, I especially appreciated Miguel’s guidance on the best spots to stop for pictures at each location. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon and looking for a day of adventure outside the city!

Miguel was a great Tour Leader not only for his knowledge of Portugals History but his great driving and engaging personality during the whole trip. An outstanding experience all day!

Our tour guide Miguel was fantastic. He was friendly, informative and provided historical information on each attraction. The inverted tower was mesmerizing. Walking through the gardens was so enjoyable. The entire tour was like travelling back through time. The scenic views of the Castle on the mountain and the palaces were truly breathtaking. Although lunch was not included, we stopped at a local authentic Portuguese restaurant. I was awestruck at the stop at the most western point of Europe. The oceanic panoramic views were spectacular. Knowing what I know now, I would definitely book this tour again and I would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic day with Miguel. Definitely was good value for the price. Was like spending the day with a friend. Miguel was knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. The tour was exactly as described. The sights were incredible. Our lunch spot by the beach was a gem and the fish soup was the best. Would highly recommend.

The trip is incredible and our tour guide was knowledgeable and kind, but do not *and I cannot stress this enough* do not go on this tour if you can’t handle multiple uphill climbs at a medium pace. My mom is in good shape, but she is 70 and we felt guilty about slowing down the group at times. The guide and our trip mates were kind and encouraging, they never made us feel badly about it but on reflection we might’ve been better off with a private tour that we could set the pace for. That being said, we LOVED the itinerary, enjoyed the company of the other travelers (and the ease of having other people to take a picture for you without flagging down a complete stranger), and Miguel (Miguel the guide, not the owner who is also Miguel)- I would spend the day learning from him and spending time in his presence any day of the week. Some people just have a gift for making you feel welcome and cared for and he went above and beyond to help my mom enjoy the trip despite the long, uphill walks. Also, pro-tip: bring a portable fan! Made a huge difference on a beautiful but very warm day.

I loved this tour from start to finish. The stops, the history and cultural background, and food recommendations that Miguel provided were all top notch. Miguel was not only very knowledgeable but was also an amazing host. He was always checking in to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the day. As a solo traveler, I particularly enjoyed the group dynamics that Miguel helped to foster. I’ve never had a tour group where everyone just vibed so well. Truly a wonderful day!

This tour provides a better feel for the Sintra area than what I perceive to be the case with other similar tours. It includes lunch at a coastal town and a visit to the westernmost point of continental Europe instead of spending time in swankier Cascais. I liked that. The tours are limited to 8 people, which I also liked. Miguel, the tour guide and owner of the company, did a great job of making the day a great experience for all attendees.

We had such a great day trip to Sintra! The whole day was really well organized and made it so easy to see so much without having to worry about transportation or planning everything ourselves. Sintra is absolutely beautiful, and we loved getting to explore the different stops and learn more about the history along the way. Our guide, Miguel, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day really enjoyable. It was definitely one of the highlights of our time in Portugal and such an easy way to experience Sintra if you only have one day. Would absolutely recommend!

What a wonderful day! Miguel really knew all about Sintra, the Architecture and the history, he took us too a secret beach restaurant and special local dessert treats, it made for a fun day and his planning helped us navigate without the crowds. This tour was a full day of castles, gardens, views, and history! Miguel was a fantastic guide! His knowledge of each area we explored really made the experience! You will have a great day if booked with Miguel. Please wear comfortable non slip shoes. There’s a lot of walking involved. Our guide Miguel was very knowledgeable of all the historical areas we visited. It was a small group, it was so much more intimate. The other travelers were really nice and we all got along well. Miguel was really thoughtful about everyone. This was a great excursion. Highly recommended.

This is a must do tour! Most tours do not include admission tickets, but this one does. Miguel was my guide and he is FANTASTIC! Amazing tour guide who gave us time and history. Even though it's a full day, we never felt rushed at each sight. His conversations with each of us were the right touch and you could tell he enjoys being with us on the tour. After seeing some other guides when we were out, I knew I picked the right tour with the right guide.

Had a wonderful experience with Miguel visiting the Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira and the most amazing coastline scenery. Miguel is extremely well, educated and knowledgeable. He gave a specific insights to all the places that we visited, and he made the experience an amazing and enjoyable experience. Miguel went out of his way to make everything more personable and individualized to your needs, and that made the trip even much more exciting and enjoyable. Miguel(owner) communication skills were impeccable, the weather changed very quickly and he made me aware of the changes and kept me informed kudos for that Miguel. Miguel (tour guide) whenever I travel I usually prefer to do a walking tour because you get to see people in every day life and ask questions as you go, however I opted for this tour which did include lots of walking also. Miguel the Historian arrived and jumped right into telling me about the various monuments we were passing along the drive from Lisboa to Sintra. I studied history so meeting someone equally in love with history and ensuring they are telling it even if some parts does not make the country they love look so beautiful. Miguel has a curiosity about him that made this tour so much fun and educational. We both even learned something new during the tour that I am excited for other guests to learn about it from Miguel. Miguel never stop being curious!

Thoroughly enjoyed the day trip with Miguel. We visited Sintra’s Historic Center, Quinta da Regaleira and the Initiation Well, and we saw the panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean at Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point after a hearty lunch at a seaside restaurant. Ended the day at the Pena Palace Terraces and chapel. Although it is raining, Miguel made the trip very enjoyable. It was a good balance of history, architecture and nature. He also gave good recommendations of the places to visit during our remaining stay in Sintra.
