Our guide, Hugo, was amazing and made the whole experience seemless and fun! The places we visited were great, and Hugo made them even better with his knowledge and expertise about the history of each place, but also his experience regarding logistics. We were grateful we didn't have to navigate all the details of the day without a guide. Hugo went above and beyond as a guide and his personality was playful and fun, which enhanced everything we did. We were laughing and enjoying ourselves the whole time; that wouldn't have been the case without Hugo. We still would've enjoyed everything, but he made it better. He also took many pictures throughout the day, and shared them at the end.

The tour was our last day in Portugal and we saved the best for last. My husband and I truly enjoyed our guide, Nuno. He was professional, knowledgeable, helpful and personable. We did not feel rushed and he gave us plenty of time to do our own exploring of Sintra. The tour was worth every cent that we spent. We highly recommend tours by Van GO Tourism.

Our group of six had an exceptional experience with Susana. She was an excellent driver and provided commentary about points of interest along the way. Susana also allowed for some small itinerary modifications along the way. She delivered us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. She truly makes the experiece carefree and memorable. It was so cool! The palaces were awesome! So many incredible views and things to see. Every time I went further it was something even cooler. Our time in the town was nice and even better with the local sweet treat provided. The castle was much like the palaces in how the views and everything there were just amazing! Susana was our driver and your guide and she was wonderful! She was punctual. On top of that she took care and thought of everything. She took pictures, gave us waters, had wet wipes, pointed out the bathrooms and had so much knowledge. Susana made the experience that much better. I highly recommend this tour and Susana.

We were pleasantly surprised, first thing in the morning, when our driver was already waiting for us. When I first introduced myself to the driver, the first thing he did was give me a huge hug and a welcome that seemed more than genuine. Nuno, was just as welcoming with my wife, my daughter and my daughter‘s boyfriend, Tony. After introducing himself, he loaded all four of us up in his beautiful Mercedes van, which was more than comfortable, and then he offered each one of us a bottle of water which we all really needed at the time. Nuno then began our tour and started driving away. Before we even got to where we were going he started telling us how our day was going to be describing how happy and pleased we would be with everything that we were about to see. He was exactly correct with everything he told us. Everything we saw, which was a palace, a castle and another palace. Also, the place he recommended us to eat at while we were on lunch was amazing. Well, I have traveled to many places and done many tours. I don’t know that I’ve ever had a more enjoyable tour. Nuno was so inquisitive about us and our lifestyle as much as we were inquisitive about the tour we were taking. Nino shared more than just tour information with us, a little bit about his history, a little bit about his life and things that he was curious about. This made our tour very personable. Something I always look for in a tour. Nuno seemed like a very knowledgeable person when it comes to history and the things we saw on our tour. I can’t imagine someone being so interested and knowledgeable about things like that, but I think he took it very personal because it was about his history, his country, and the things that made Portugal, especially Lisbon what it is today. I’m sure that I could keep going on and on and on about how enjoyable today was. But I think I’ll leave it at what I’ve already said. If you ever have a chance to take a tour with this company, I would definitely try to ask for Nuno. Nuno, I hope you’re able to read this review because I want you to know personally that you are an awesome individual an awesome tour guide and I’m sure you’re an awesome family person. Customer Service First with Van Go and my wonderful contact Margarida. I changed my plans 3 times and each discussion was better than the next. Unfortunately I had to cancel my trip because of business matters. Still the contact was understanding and courteous and hoped for our return. There is a lot of walking and hills, so it’s great to be in shape. The weather can be chilly so bringing a coat would be good. Bernardo was fabulous. It was a fun adventure he was very knowledgeable about the palaces and castles we saw.

We had a wonderful tour of Sintra with Susana! We got a VIP experience the entire way and she was filled with so much knowledge of the area, wonderful stories of the history of the region. She knew all the best spots to take pictures, gave us plenty of time to explore on our own but also became like a local friend showing us around! I would highly recommend this tour- we went to Pena Palace, Moorish Castle and Regalaria- plenty of time to have lunch on our own and also she dropped us in Caiscas to explore! She gave great suggestions and tips for the rest of our trip as well!

For our first full day in Portugal, we could not have had a better experience! Nuno so knowledgeable and kind. He shared great tidbits of history, culture and fun facts. He brought us to the Palace and Sintra and was excellent at showing the best areas for our family to enjoy. Then we were off to Caiscas and loved it there as well. Fantastic tour!

Bernardo was a great tour guide. He was very informative, friendly and punctual. We saw all the sights and he provided guidance on items we wanted to shop for.

I reached out to the company to see if they could pick us up at the cruise port with all of our bags, then take us to Sintra, Cascais, and a stop at Belém on the way to the hotel. They said “No problem.” We were fortunate to get Nuno as our guide. He loaded up our bags in the back of a Mercedes van then off we went! He explained all of the history on the way to Sintra and it was so interesting. We made it to Pena Palace first and he was so good at taking our pictures in the best spots at the castle. Then we went into town and walked to Regaleira Palace, which is uphill and not for the faint of heart but it basically is a pedestrian area, no cars. Luckily it wasn’t terribly hot that day. He showed us all around the Palace and grounds, the Initiation Well, etc. By then, we were starving and he offered for us to eat in Sintra or down by the sea in Cascais. We opted for Cascais and he took us to the BEST restaurant right on the water and we had delicious food and finished off a bottle of the “green wine” (IYKYK 😉). Then we headed back to Lisbon and stopped at the Tower, the Explorers monument, and Pasteis de Belém for the famous pastry. Then he dropped us off at our hotel. I forgot my jacket in the back seat and sent him a message to just keep it or give it a way if he found it but he actually brought it all the way back to our hotel! Such a sweetheart! We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Nuno. The company is great to work with and I would definitely use them again without hesitation. And we ❤️ Nuno—best guide ever!

Nunno was an incredible tour guide. Very knowledgeable and personable. The sights in Sintra are outstanding and this was the highlight of our visit to Lisbon. The private tour was 1st class from the door to door service from our hotel and all of the personal tips and stories and details as we moved from sight to sight. I can’t imagine trying to visit Sintra on my own. Be forewarned that there is a lot of strenuous walking and climbing involved, but well worth it!

This is a must do in anyone's "Lisbon" adventure! Our guide, Vanco, was incredibly knowledgeable. At all the stops along the way, the information he shared was so interesting and detailed! Our favorite sites were the Castelo dos Mouros, the Quinta da Regaleira and spending time in the town of Sintra. One piece of advice, if the que is crazy long dispite your entrance time for the Pena Palace, I'd skip and see what other treasures of Sintra Vasco can show you! It was a wonderful day!!
