Absolutely first class service. We had a personally curated tour of Lisbon and surrounding area with excellent recommendations for walks, museums, cultural and general interest places and a wonderful lunch stop. Pedro’s knowledge and friendly demeanour is a pleasure to behold. We would not hesitate to recommend his services and indeed hope to use him again in the future. Highly recommended!

The Royal Palace of Queluz, also known as National Palace of Queluz, dates to the 18th century. The palace was built as a summer retreat for Don Pedro de Bragança, future King Pedro III, and was one of the last large Rococo style buildings erected in Europe.
The Sintra National Palace, also known as the Town Palace, was among the palaces used by the Portuguese Royal Family almost up to the end of the Monarchy, in 1910. Its construction began in the 15th century and features characteristics of Medieval, Gothic, Manueline, Renaissance and Romantic architecture
The fantastic Palácio da Pena is one of the best examples of 19th-century Romantic revivalism in Portugal. Situated at the top of Monte da Pena, the palace was built on the site of an old monastery belonging to the Order of St. Jerome. It was the fruit of the imagination of Dom Fernando of Saxe Coburg-Gotha, who married the queen Dona Maria II in 1836. After falling in love with Sintra, he decided to buy the convent and the surrounding land to build a summer palace for the royal family.
the westernmost point of mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca. Around 490 FT above the sea, here you can have a panoramic view over the Mountain of Sintra and the coast line of the entire area
A favored spot for Lisbon surfers when the swell doesn't wrap into the city breaks, Guincho is a long, open beach that is rarely flat, but it's also exposed to wind - hence its popularity as a summertime windsurfing haunt. It does produce quality waves though, working best on lower tides when long, reeling lefts and rights can form around shifting banks. Gets big and is famous for its brutal rip currents. Amazing seafood and fresh fish restaurants on the coast line
Cascais it´s year round resort just 40 minutes from Lisbon. Kings and aristocrats have holidayed here and it's easy to see why.
Long as established the cosmopolitan holiday destination of the rich and famous on the Portuguese Riviera, Estoril has an elegance more commonly attributed to resorts on the Côte d’Azur. Exiled royalty and deposed despots made this their haven during World War II

Pedro our driver was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional in every way. We had a fantastic day with him. Highly recommended.
A marvellous whole day. Pedro enabled us to see the sights, in a comfortable and mega efficient way as we were only in Lisbon for two days. He booked tickets ahead so no queues and sorted a lovely table for lunch. Sintra was a beautiful highlight. Saw soooo many Tuk-Tuks stuck in queues up to castle. Worth the difference. V comfortable.
The day trip with Peter was absolutely amazing. This is my second time using him as a guide around Portugal and he exceeds expectations!! We saw so much in just 8 hours and he had the best recommendations on what to do and food spots. He is incredibly funny and knows so much about Portugal. I always recommend a day with Peter when friends and family tell me they are visiting Lisbon. He never disappoints!!
Pedro was an amazing guide and our 2 full days of touring Lisbon and the surrounding areas was a highlight of our trip to Portugal. He is a native of Lisbon and enjoys sharing his in depth knowledge of his culture and its history. He was very flexible and was able to pivot to change plans as necessary. As an added bonus, he is quite the foodie and was happy to share a number of wonderful restaurant recommendations. We highly recommend this private tour for a fantastic experience of history, food and wine and the best of Portuguese hospitality..
Pedro is amazing! We asked our hotel (Sheraton) to arrange something private and exclusive for me and my wife to visit Sintra and some surrounding towns as an all-day day trip. They hooked us up with Pedro, and we were very glad that they did. Pedro delivered for us. He had a beautiful and roomy car, bottled water, and was very flexible with us on any accommodation we needed. He grabbed us an awesome table at a lunch spot in Guincho where we could see the water and the fish was fresh. He was very patient while we toured inside at a couple of key spots, and overall we had a very pleasant time.
I had an incredible experience with Unique Portugal Tours during my visit to Portugal last January. We took a two-day trip to Sintra and the Fátima Sanctuary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Our guide, Pedro, was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to ensure everything was flawless. We traveled in a spotless, new Mercedes equipped with excellent navigation, making the journey smooth and enjoyable. Pedro also provided fantastic food recommendations, introducing us to some of the best local cuisine. In addition to his professionalism and knowledge, Pedro speaks excellent English, which made communication effortless. His insights and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our experience. If you’re planning a trip to Portugal, I highly recommend booking with this agency and asking for Pedro! It was an unforgettable experience.
The experience was fantastic and we spent extra time in Sintra which turned out to be amazing. The driver was brilliant and accommodated all our needs in a seamless manner. This is 10/10 service.
Pedro is quite engaging, very knowledgeable, friendly and had some excellent sight, gastronomical and shopping recommendations. Polite and chivalrous as well! We would do this again and recommend you consider for a wonderful adventure.
Pedro was spectacular, professional, and very knowledgeable! We do quite a bit of traveling. I’m at 83 countries now and we spent some time in Spain in Portugal. Our hotel is Sheridan connected us with Pedro and we utilized him for tours and some other transportation needs we had while looking at some properties. He was spectacular, again, very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure our experiences were perfect. Further, the vehicle was beautiful. It was a Mercedes S class that provided the ultimate luxury touch for a tour and transportation experiences! I highly recommend him and the company.
The tour was amazing and our guide/driver was excellent providing a lot of interesting history and knowledge about places visited. The driving was comfortable and professional. He even brought us to a hidden gem restaurant that we never would have found on our own. My husband and I highly recommend Unique Portugal Tours!
Pedro was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. He recommended excellent restaurants where we were treated well. In addition to a day at Sintra, he also took us wine tasting and to a tile factory on a separate day. We highly recommend selecting Pedro for private tours.
Polite and knowledgeable driver. Comfortable Mercedes car. Visited many interesting places from Sintra round to Cascais and back to Lisbon. Great way to see areas surrounding Lisbon in one day!
We visited the National Palace and another palace on the way to Sintra. Both were very interesting and scenic. We had a lovely lunch across the street from the National Palace - the view and food could not be beat. We never saw the famous Pena Palace (in all the pictures) because of the lines (our guide told us), which was a disappointment. We finished up by walking around Cascais, a beautiful beach resort town. Overall it was a very nice day, just not what we expected. Our guide mainly drove us and dropped us off at each location where we were on our own - he did not guide us at those locations. So if you want informative touring, this isn't the best option, but if you want time to yourself, it works. So it depends on what you like. Our guide was nice but kept trying to sell us tour services from his private company which was awkward. He recommended the Oceanarium, and dropped us off there, which by US standards was small and disappointing, despite being billed as the "biggest in Europe." Overall a very pleasant day.
Pedro is hands down the best tour guide we've ever had the pleasure of working with! From the moment we met him, we knew that we were in good hands. Pedro took the time to understand our interests and created a customized program that perfectly matched our preferences. His recommendations for hotels and restaurants were spot-on, and we were blown away by the level of attention and care he put into every aspect of our trip. Over the course of three days, Pedro showed us the very best that Lisbon has to offer. His extensive knowledge of the city's history and culture was truly impressive, and he went above and beyond to ensure that we had a rich and immersive experience. From the iconic landmarks to the hidden gems, Pedro took us to all the right places and provided us with fascinating insights along the way. What sets Pedro apart, however, is his genuine warmth and enthusiasm. He truly loves what he does, and it shows in every interaction. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy, and we felt like we were traveling with a dear friend rather than a tour guide. We cannot recommend Pedro highly enough, and we are already planning our next trip to Lisbon so that we can work with him again. Thank you, Pedro, for an unforgettable experience!
Joao Pedro was our Tour Guide. He did a GREAT job. It started out as a rainy, overcast day, so Joao Pedro asked for some flexibility in arranging our trip with the weather and things couldn’t have worked out much better. While it rained we enjoyed The National Palace at Queluz. This wasn’t even on our plan or schedule, but we ended up spending hours there. We went up to Sintra and it was crowded and still a little rainy. Joao Pedro pointed out a couple of places on which we should focus our time. They worked out great. We got some shopping done (again unexpectedly). From there we went to Colares/Cabo da Roca and got not only great views (and pictures), but found a locals restaurant with magnificent fresh seafood. Then, down to Cascais where Joao Pedro gave us a little cultural tour of the seaport. Joao Pedro was knowledgable, honest, friendly, funny and very helpful. We ended up with a slightly different tour than we had planned, but we believe it was a much better tour than we could have expected. Highly recommended.
Pedro with Unique Portugal Tours is an outstanding driver and tour guide. He is very knowledgeable of the history and culture of Portugal and made all of our tours very interesting. He knows all the best dining spots, so we had a great culinary tour in addition to the historical tour. Pedro helped us create wonderful memories of Portugal...The Lanes
Pedro, our tour guide from Unique Portugal Tours, was an extraordinary guide who helped us explore a number of Portugal’s key treasures. His thorough knowledge of Portuguese history and culture framed our visits to several sites near and in Sintra—at Queluz, the Moorish Castle, and the National Palace—and then along the seacoast as we traveled through Cascais and on back to Lisbon. He never rushed us, allowing us time to explore and absorb our experiences in these varied settings. Pedro also arranged a second separate tour which he customized to match our interests. During this day, we travelled to Tomar, Batalha and Obidos. We also want to note that on both days, Pedro was a very careful driver with a comfortable and clean luxury car. What a bonus!
We had a great day with Pedro! He is a fantastic tour guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We saw so much more than we would have on our own. Great car too.
Great day touring sintra Cabo De roca and cascais, Estoril. We saw many palaces and great sites along the water. Cabo de roca was highlight and tour guide explained all is great detail. Was a pleasure
Pedro was a great guide. I put my trust in him to show me the best places in Sintra and surrounding areas. Very thoughtful in asking me what I wanted to get out of the day. Plus suggested a superb restaurant that was my food highlight of my 5 day trip to Lisbon.
Our experience with Pedro was a memorable one. Not only is he very knowledgeable but he is also very attentive to curating the experience for us per our preferences. This made our experience very memorable. I would recommend him to all my friends who plan to visit Portugal and the area. He is very dedicated to his work
Pedro does a stellar job of making sure his guests are well cared for while also ensuring that they make the absolute most of their trip in Portugal. Though our vacation only lasted three days, Pedro took my family to see a wide variety of locations and eat at some of the best food Portugal has to offer. He is incredibly approachable and his knowledge of the country is unparalleled. Portugal is a gorgeous country to visit and Pedro’s guidance helped make the experience unforgettable.
We made some wonderful memories while on this tour. Pedro has brilliant knowledge of Lisbon and the surroundings, he explained a lot on our way to Sintra and Cascais. The first stop was at the Sintra National Palace. After we visited the Palace we went shopping and we stopped for a snack. Then, we went to the Palace of Pena. Pedro waited for us every time we stopped for a visit. He made great recommendations, amongst which was the fish and seafood restaurant in Cascais. At the end of the tour we made a quick stop at the Cascais beach to take some photos of the Atlantic Ocean. Pedro is extremely friendly, patient and a wonderful guide. We enjoyed the experience and we totally recommend him.
Pedro (Peter) was excellent. HIs knowledge of Lisbon and Sintra, is superb. His recommendations on our day trip were all spot on, including restaurants. HIs advise on visits to the Sintra National Palace and the Pena Palace saved a lot of time and effort. He is a licensed tour guide and is very fluent in English, having lived in the U.S.
Pedro is generous, polite and extremely knowledgeable. It was a fabulous trip and we were always pointed to exactly the things we wanted to do. We will surely call Pedro next time in Portugal
Pedro planned a terrific day with a trip to Sintra to see magnificent historical sites, a delicious meal by a beach in Estoril, and a walk on a nearby beach to Cascais. He advised us on how to maximize our time at each stop and did what he could to make each stop enjoyable and as easily accessible as possible. He shared a wealth of knowledge about sites we passed on our drive. He was a professional in every way. We will be sure to have Pedo take us the next time we are ready for a tour in Portugal.
It was a spectacular experience!!! 👍👍 Pedro Beleza was our guide and tourist guide, ultra professional and attentive. He knows the areas visited and has a luxury car in excellent condition. All clean. It was very pleasant and enriching because besides the visits and restaurant visited the Pedro gave us a lot of information about the locations. Thank you and I recommend
