Dalila was a great tour guide. Just the right amount of time to see Sintra, walk around the town a bit and stop at stores. Went inside a beautiful castle on the way and saw the beautiful view in Cascais

This was fantastic private tour to Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca and Cascais costal sites. Tour guide was very informative and up to date.
Joao was fantastic as our driver and guide. We had a wonderful time seeing the palace and other sites. Follow the recommendation to purchase your tickets to the palace in advance and be sure to include the transfer if you do not wish to walk uphill to it. It was a lovely tour and Joao made sure to take care of us and ensure that we had a great time despite our jet lag. It was a success! Highly recommend this tour and Joao as your guide.
We had a wonderful and most interesting private tour with Americo who had a wealth of knowledge and plenty of interesting facts about not only Sintra and Cascais, but all of Portugal. We were able to take some really great photos along the way and will fondly remember our visit with Americo.
If you read the description, you are supposed to see/visit the 4 places. Be careful! We understood that this is a 4 hour tour and really wanted to see Pena Palace and were willing to cut time or not visit the other places (or at least just drive by). We told our guide about it but he kept on telling us to buy tickets to Quinta R. on the way there. Once we were there he just drove by Pena Palace and gave us just a view. We thought we were coming back but he dropped us off at city center and left us there (Palace area) for 1 hour and a half basically doing nothing. After that, he dropped us off at Quinta R for an hour and a half since we already have tickets. We did not get to see Pena Palace at all (even just the facade) and Cascais. The guide kept upselling us to extend our tour so he can take us to his friends restaurant in Cascais. Overall I would not recommend if you are planning to see Pena Palace or expecting to at least see the 4 places listed here. The vehicle was comfortable with 7 people (2 kids) but our driver/guide was really dismissive and did not even follow the schedule.
I guess I misunderstood this package, this was pretty much just a driver that took you places and dropped you off, not a tour guide. If you’re looking for that, this is the package for you. If you want a knowledgeable person to show you around the city and tell you the history do not take this tour. Our driver was very nice, just not the experience we were expecting. We were just dropped off and knew nothing about the area we were visiting us, very disappointed. I feel like you can get the same experience from a cab for less money. A hop on hop off tour would be better as they give you historical facts and it costs a lot less. Again, driver very nice, just not the package we expected.
Savio was amazing. We had a wonderful trip to Sintra with stops for pastry, linens, and port. The palace and Cascais were so beautiful. Savio was flexible and helped us to experience the best of Sintra and Cascais. I would highly recommend this overview of a beautiful part of Portugal.
Sintra and Cascais were beautiful places to visit. Our tour guide/driver Americo was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the areas and the history of it. The port tasting we tried was delicious. Highly recommend putting these towns on your list of things to do from Lisbon!!
This half-day tour to Sintra and Cascais was an utter highlight of my current ~4 weeks travel. Américo was an outstanding guide throughout, showing me many 'off-the-beaten-track' (be sure to try the Port tasting and sunset at Cascais lighthouse) with a real depth of knowledge with the stylings of an expert raconteur. What sets him apart is his engagement and very real interest in seeing tourists see the very best of wonderful Lisbon. I cannot recommend him highly enough. For anyone looking for an excellent experience of a tour around amazing Lisbon, Américo is your guide.
Americo was a fun and engaging driver for our group! Thanks for a fun trip!! We will be sure to tell our friends about this 1/2 day trip!
Carlos was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and overall we had a wonderful time. We would definitely book the full day tour with him next time we’re in Lisbon. Thank you Carlos!
Carlos was great thanks Should have done all day to have lunch in One of the great restaurants we saw.
Carlos was great... He made the trip enjoyable and was awesome with our son. We'd recommend going with the tour
If you enjoy castles and the surrounding lands, excellent trip. Be aware, it rains often, even when the sun is shining is Lisbon or Cascais. Traffic from Lisbon is about an hour each way
We went on a half day trip to Sintra and Cascais. Absolutely gorgeous scenery throughout the drive and the places that we visited were outstanding. Carlos was our driver and guide. He is a superb conversationalist and told us so much about the places we visit, as well as about Portugese lifestyle, history and most importantly, made sure we tasted the Sintra pillows - you have to taste it to believe how divine it tastes!!! Highly recommended to go on this tour if you are tight on time and please do ask for Carlos!
Carlos was knowledgeable and a wonderful driver. Good idea to buy tickets in advance with transport and check in with ushers to ensure you don’t needlessly wait on a long line. They adhere to times on ticket but there may be a number on people ahead on the queue with later times.
Carlos was a lovely guide who tailored the half day to what we wanted. We loved both Palaces and never felt rushed.
All the information Carlos told us was very interesting. I would go on another tour if he was doing it!
We had a great 1/2 day tour. Carlos was fantastic. Knowledge of the history of the area and also shared suggestions for our onward trip. Totally worthwhile, better than a bus tour,
Carlos was great guide and we really enjoyed the afternoon. The crowds were massive but he managed to get us in to everywhere without any issues. Would highly recommend.
Forget the rest. Do Caiscais for the Half day. Peña is not worth the trip for half a day. Maybe do the Amo Irish fort to get good pictures of the palace. Don’t pay the money for the palace
Luis was a wonderful and knowledgeable. He was completely agreeable to any wishes to a change in the itinerary. We quickly learned that at least a whole day tour is necessary to appreciate Sintra.
We really enjoyed ourselves with Carlos. He said a lot of interesting things about the places where we were.
Carlos Santiago was top-notch! The best part of a country is her people and the passion that they have for her. Carlos was an ambassador of the rich, vast and multi-dimensional history of Portugal. In addition, he was timely, engaging, and warm. He certainly made our trip memorable! Sinatra and Cascais - breathtakingly beautiful! The people are sincere and friendly. It's safe. Get packing for a trip of a lifetime.
Our driver/guide Fred was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the Palace of Pena, and the beautiful costal drive to see the beach and great surf.
Carlos was super informative, never rushed me and yet managed to make the most out of the tight 4 hour private tour!
Moorish Castle, Sintra, Caiscais, Restoril Carlos was an excellent guide! My husband and I enjoyed the tour on our own. Carlos took us to a beautiful coastline!
Sintra is a must visit place. I highly recommend this tour. Our driver, Carlos was friendly, very knowledgeable and accommodating.
Company is very accommodating, we have asked to extend our journey for few more hours, was a reasonable fee. Our Guide Carlos is very knowledgeable about history, places and timing to get to the palace to avoid any lines. Great service!
Our guide was amazing. His background in history added so much to the experience and it was a pleasure to chat with him. He took our interests into consideration and the tour exceeded our expectations.
This was an absolutely fantastic tour! Luis R. was spectacular!! Luis was very knowledgeable, pleasant and expert both in his explanation of the history, culture and significance of the region and Sintra in particular. As an added bonus, he is also an expert professional photographer which was invaluable in showing us special vistas to obtain some unique and special shots. What a wonderful half day!!!
Sonia was the perfect tour guide. We changed our trip a bit and glad we did. Skipped the town of Sintra and went straight to Pena Palace. We were picked up in Lisbon at our hotel at 8am arrived at the gates at 8:45 (gates of the palace open at 9) and some of the first few people in the palace at 9:30, by 10:00 the queue was over an hour long. From there we went to the cape and then ended our trip Cascais where she dropped us off and we did some shopping, had a beautiful lunch at her restaurant suggestion and took a €20 uber back to Lisbon. She was very knowledgeable about all of our stops, had excellent suggestions and was the perfect addition to our trip!
Our tour guide, Carlos, made the most of our tour time. He took us to Sintra to see the Palace and then gave us a comprehensive tour of Cascais, including the coastline. He then drove us to Old Lisbon through the winding narrow streets to a vantage point with a breathtaking view.
A great way to spend a half day seeing Sintra if you don’t have the time for the full day tour. Our guide was Luís and was perfect. Very polite, courteous and an excellent host. Took us to the main attractions and provided just the right amount of detail and gave plenty of tips of what to see and visit once we got to the Peña Palace. Word of warning…. can get very very busy so best get there early!! Dropped as off at place of our choosing and then sent numerous suggestions for where to eat. Perfect!!
Our group of six friends are traveling on a tour. We realized, too late, that we hadn’t signed up for the optional excursion to Sinatra and Cascáis. So, we sought an alternative. Wow, was that a fortuitous turn of events! Luis picked us up at our hotel and provided a fun and informative afternoon tour. He is a great driver as well as knowledgeable about the area and gave us local insights into the “Portuguese Rivera.” Our hours with him flew by and we were so grateful to have found this gem of a local guide! We have agreed, from now on, when offered optional excursions, we’ll look at Trip Advisor first. Hopefully, we’ll meet more guides like Luis, he was awesome!
We had an amazing trip with Luis! He was so knowledgeable about both Sintra and Caiscais. He showed us all the sites, gave us restaurant recommendations (including his favorite Portuguese custard place that was amazing), and even helped us capture the best photos of us to remember the day with his amazing photography skills!
We had a great time. Luis our tour guide was very informative & a lot of fun to travel with. He made this trip a memorable one. I will fefinitely recommend it.
Professional and very friendly driver. Luxurious and comfortable car. I recommend this trip very much
Absolutely gorgeous palace to visit Well worth the time. Our guide Luis was great. Good communication with company when we were delayed getting through customs a airport. Would highly recommend
The whole trip was beautiful! The driver, Luis, was also informative. When I had an opportunity to see my grandmother, who is 102, he did not hesitate to wait a few mins and be there for us. He is a wonderful photographer!
Our guide/driver - Andre - was excellent! Very professional but also very personable. He had extensive knowledge and was very informative. Our four hour tour far exceeded our expectations largely due to Andre.
Excellent! Our guide was incredible. We learned a lot about the culture, customs and best of all food! would recommend to anyone visiting the Lisbon area.

we were supposed to start our tour at 2pm. I had to call the company. they missed my reservation. the tour guide arrived at 3pm. Dimitri was great. he was very knowledgeable, pleasant. comfortable ride. Pena palace was great. didn't get to see palacio queluz or quinta da regalia

Not your usual tour, very personal. Our guide was on time, very respectfull, informative, helpful, fluent in several languages. Excellent way to spend your time, specially if you are in the city for a short time.
