If you wish to stop at Pena Palace, you can decide if and how long you want to stay at the stunning gardens of the almost 200 acres of lush exotic gardens and rivers with species from all over the world or also see the palace. If you wish to pass by the fairy-tail palace from the XIX century, designed to be the lush summer home of the portuguese royalty, we facilitate access to the tickets to the inside and outside of the palace! With stunning views over the valley of Sintra-Cascais, you can see all the way until the coast-line (where we'll go next, after the Masonic Well at Regaleira!) At the palace you also have a nice caffe where you can have a bite!

Having priority at the ticket office, we skip the line directly to the gardens of Regaleira, exotic like the Pena gardens, but with hand-made caves and tinny castles all over the place. Just near the waterfalls we have the Free-Masonic Initiation Well from the XIX century, open to the public at day time. In here you will go down the 9 levels of Dante's Inferno, to find the Templar Cross with the 4 elements (wind, earth, fire, water) After the first stage, the participants would have to "wonder through the bottom of hell" until they get to "the light at the end of the tunnel" where they will find the exit and reborn again. Outside and inside you can see many symbols of the free-masonry / templar order, among them many pentagrams said to represent the face of Baphomet
Here we taste the good sweets and drinks, made by local friends! Also here we make a pause for lunch at a restaurant of your taste (we have amazing recommendations, ask the guide!) you can stroll around the historical center of Sintra, passing by the insights of the Sintra historical center, you will see the Vila National Palace from the XV century. You also have loads of small shops selling national produts We stop there and go when you ready.

Great and informative trip with Vasco! We went to the major palaces and it was all super interesting. He showed us where to go and walked us to the various entrances and helped us buy all the tickets needed. Took the stress and uncertainty out of the whole experience.
Vasco is a truly exceptional guide and host. He was hospitable, interesting, engaged and knowledgeable Sinatra including castles, history, gardens, and lakes. He also booked our lunch reservation on a bluff overlooking the sea and joined us for a yummy lunch on a bluff overlooking the sea in a nearby town. Over and above: Vasco was super helpful to me regarding an a head injury I sustained the night before. He called doctors and translated for me at a pharmacy where I purchased appropriate supplies, which ultimately was all I needed. In addition to his knowledge of Sintra, Vasco also had fantastic recommendations and personalized list for Porto, our next 4-nt stop! In all respects, Vasco is a 5 star guide fore sure!
Pedro and Eric went above and beyond to show us the Penna castle in Sintra, explaining along the road, Portuguese history. We visited also MontSerra, the Dinosaur footprints on the beach. Pedro found for us an excellent fish restaurant. We finished the day with the most west part of Europe! Great tour!

Everything about this trip was amazing, we had an a problem with getting up to Peña palace because of a bud accident but Pedro was very quick to help us find an alternative. In addition he took us to an amazing lunch spot on our way to Cascias. He is an excellent tour guide and makes sure to provide you with the best experience. No hassle with public transportation when you are moving with a private car. And since the tour is totally customisable you can pick and choose the places you want to see and experience -although they give good recommendations. Fransisco also gave us great recommendation for a restaurant - best meal I've had in Portugal!

Everything went smooth, picked up from my Air bnb on time, Francisco picked us, polite and knowledgeable young man, had good discussions with him and learned about Portuguese history and culture, tourist season is on full swing and roads to castle were packed, he took backroads and saved time, we tweaked the itinerary due to longer than anticipated wait times and he was fine with that, overall a good experience.
The van they send you is not as advertised. Van showed up on a 41 Celsius day with a faulty AC system and faulty seatbelts. Didn’t make it 2 minutes in the van and had them drop me back off at hotel. I ended up hiring a different company through the hotel that was a modern nice van with ice cold AC. Further more the company didn’t care to resolve, rebook or apologize, ignored my calls and text. If you want a tour like this I advise you book through your hotel, that way you can hold them accountable
Wow!!!! We had a great experience and a great day with Kevin. He was very timely, pleasant and knowledgable. Started with an amazing trip to Pena Palace, Kevin then recommended we visit Quinta da Regaleira which was a home run!!! We were looking for a great beach to finish up the day and grab a nice late lunch and he took us to Praia Grande which was perfect. Kevin is outstanding, very pleasant conversation, his demeanor was engaging and a perfect balance of giving us time to explore on our own, while also being helpful and he made great recommendations for the remainder of our trip. Would 100% do another tour with Kevin and can't wait to go back!!!

Hello Kevin my driver was pleasant and knowledgeable. The company relied quickly to my desire to start a little later which I appreciated. The car was clean and comfortable. The only issue was that most of The places were closed. There’s a heat wave and they worried about fires. I wish I was told when I booked it.

I had an amazing time on this tour. This is definitely not a one-size-fits-all kind of a tour! I felt my guide payed very close attention to what interested me, what I would enjoy to see, and what I was not very excited to see and he changed the tour to make sure I enjoyed my visit to Sintra. By the end of the day, this did not feel like a precut tour that you would get in, get out, take pictures, and get nothing out of but a few instagram pictures. It rather felt like a pleasant road trip with a good friend showing you around. I could not recommend this tour any more and definitely definitely definitely call them up next time I am in Lisbon.

Wine tasting on the beach followed by seaside lunch was wonderful. Our guide was charming and always gave us several options to choose from. It was nice to get off the tourist path and have a locals experience.
My sister and I were staying in Lisbon for a work trip and wanted to venture out of the city for a day. Our guide Kevin gave us the best day out of our week in Portugal with our trip to Sintra and Cascais!! He took us right to where we needed to be at all of the sought out locations, showed us some of his personal favorite spots we would have never seen on our own and was just all around great company for the entire day. If I ever, and hopefully will, make it back to Portugal for some more adventuring, I would personally request Kevin to be our guide.

The sights along the way are mesmerising but the vibe that the guided added the whole time was quite something.
Starting from the beginning. We were picked up at our hotel, by Pedro, on a spotless Mercedes van. Pedro kept us entertained with stories and his easy going mood, throughout the ride to Sintra. Sintra is a place you can't really put words on it, you have to experience for yourself to understand it, truly unbelievable. Pedro took us to every important landmark in Sintra, we even stopped to eat their famous pastries - queijadas de Sintra (to die for!). He then took us to the beach to see dinosaur footprints, and moving on to Cabo da Roca, for mesmering views. Pedro was a super host, gave us the privacy we needed, but was also present to explain the fascinating history of the places we visited, took photos of us, was very attentive. We liked it so much that we booked the tour with him to Fatima (which I also highly recommend). Just book it you won't regret!
